I have been a fan of the Steve Birnbaum travel books for quite some time and have purchased many of the Birnbaum Disney guides over the years. I have never been disappointed with all the information and attention to detail. I highly recommend it, especially if you are a first time visitor to any of the Disney parks. However, you’ve been to Disney many times you will always find new/updated information.

Well this is the "Official" Guide so in addition to allowing the book to use official photos of WDW, it also means that it's mostly a surface look. The Unofficial Guide is more helpful in my opinion but it's an 800+ page brick and I get not everyone will have time to get through that before vacation. If you follow sites like Disney Food Blog, AllEars.net, Ear Scouts and others on the web and YouTube you'll get more in-depth information than the Official Guide offers.

Skip this and get the Unofficial Guide to Disney World. There is minimal helpful planning tips in this book and you can tell that it's an official guide because there is no unbiased information, or criticisms. I didn't find this very helpful at all except as a very basic run down of what there is at Disney World, information that you can easily find online.

This is my 3rd time planning a Disney World trip,but my last one was in 2018 so I really could use a refresher. This guide was a great way to bring myself up to speed and seek out new things for my teen and 10 year old. I even bought them the kids version of this guide and they have both been enjoying having a say in our plans this trip!

I wasn't going to add this to my list of books read, but it was quite longer and more in see depth than I expected. Full of information, even a little overwhelming. But, it demystified a lot around Disney planning for me.
