She was in love with the man who raised her, wholly in love with someone off-limits, so in love with her own father that it made every other interaction pale in comparison to the very idea of him.
Usually I write reviews as soon as I finish reading, because it's fresh in my memory. This time is different. I read this story in a short hour or two. I completely devoured it! But I've been ruminating on it for the last few hours... this was an intense, angsty read, and I want my review to do it justice.
This book starts off with Rahima coming home drunk. Her godfather, the number one paternal figure in her life, catches her. He's disappointed in her and makes it known. Faruq (H) raised her since she was four years old, watching her, supporting her, and loving her. The argument between them is the start of a series of events. Her new job, her new friend who she's casually dating, and wanting to move out... oh, and her father catching her using a toy on herself and crying out his name. ;)
"I love you, Faruq. I love you so much it hurts." "I love you, habibtii. More than I have ever loved anyone- more than I will ever love anyone.
This was a slow burn, tortuously slow (in a good way!). I loved every touch, caress, softly spoken word between them throughout this book. It gave me butterflies knowing how much Rahima and Faruq loved each other but were dancing around the fact that they had more feelings than what they openly share. There was some angst and a dash of OM drama, but it all resolved by the end of the book!
This was everything Rahima had ever wanted- everything she'd ever fantasied about, everything she'd ever needed. No one else had ever, could ever, compare to the man who raised her.
I'm MELTING over these quotes! I love Namiin Stone's writing style. What I love most about this book were the feelings and emotions that are weaved into every page. Secondly, the sex scenes... omg y'all, they were amazing, so passionate and loving but also sexy as hell. This was a great piece of work and I'm so happy I read it! I'll leave you with one more quote... ;)
"Come for me- come on my cock, Rahima. A good daughter comes on her father's aching prick, yes?"
SAFETY: Ages - 26h, 60sH (he's "old" but delicious!) Virgin/celibate - no virgins, h had hookups in college but never dated. H has been celibate for a while OM/OW drama - verryyy light OM drama Tropes - godfather/goddaughter, age gap, dom/sub vibes Kinks - dom/sub vibes, sex toys, voyeurism HEA? - yes!
~Every Way That Matters by Namiin Stone~ Absolutely loved the emotion and struggle that Rahima feels towards her godfather Faruk. Forbidden feelings and lust for a man she should not love that way. Absolutely loved the conflict and torment, it felt very real and kept me consumed and immersed to the end.
“She wanted it all to stop. To go back to their faked, fragile normal. Back to silently pining for him and grieving what she could not have.”

The stories in this book truly captivated me. Some stories contain MM and others why choose, also some MF so there is a little bit of everything for everyone. These stories range from light to dark with some taboo thrown into the mix. I personally enjoyed each and every story and some left me wanting more.
This story was short & dominant AF 🖤 The spice was great too!
Atticus seems to be struggling with things in his personal life. Then you have Ryder & Chester, who seem alpha dominant and want Atticus's attention. I enjoyed this short story and feel like if it were a longer version, there would be so much potential to have a great plot. Loved the interactions between Jake & Atticus too.
The Summary: A delicious slow burn erotic romance between Rahima and her godfather Faruq - they can’t help but love each other more than they should.
The TLDR: The anthology is worth it for this story alone.
The Review: I received this story as an ARC, and burned through it as fast as I could - Namiin’s pros are delicious and rich and make for such a compelling narrative and buildup in this 30k short story. You feel the slow burn of Rahima and Faruq’s forbidden longing for each other at every step. Somehow, Namiin manages to expertly fit the perfect amount of angst, longing, lust, romance, and d/s kink into this lovely package.
We so rarely get good incest erotica, romances, and/or stories. On top of that, it is even rarer to get an incestuous story that features older, more mature characters that still have a large age gap, AND characters who are POC. Every Way That Matters is ALL of that.
One of the fun things to explore with incestuous relationships is how their familial relationship extends and adds upon the couple's romantic relationship. Faruq doesn't stop being Rahima's father when they kiss, hold each other, or make love and Namiin conveys this beautifully. These two know each other in every detail, every twitch and every sigh, and that level of detail and understanding extends to their newfound intimacy.
Something I want to specifically highlight is how well Namiin writes intimacy, consent, and kink. Faruq is father, dom, and baba (daddy) to Rahima's daughter, sub, and ‘little girl’. He maintains a commanding air while clearly showing so much love and tenderness and care for Rahima. Every command is still an ask, still a tacit (and sometimes explicit) ask for consent, and it makes their intimacy that much more beautiful and sexy. Not to mention his possessiveness! which is still so hot and tender and loving! And since this story is written from Rahima's perspective, we get to feel every ounce of passion and reaction from her - there are so many steamy details!
A heart-gripping & nerve-wracking age-gap MMM taboo (Teacher/Student, Uncle/Nephew) romance with cute friendships, forbidden feelings, kinkiness (Dom/sub vibes), some stalking & unholy hotness. I devoured it in 2hrs. This was my 1st story by S.K. Graves! Why did SK's writing style felt poetic to me 😅.
I haven't read any other book in the NEVER FOREVER anthology, but I think I'll like'em! At the time of getting my ARC of His Touch, I only knew it's MMM & taboo, 2 tropes I can't resist. Hotdamn am I glad I took it.
The story unfolds mostly from Atticus's POV, a sweet virgin gay college student, who's going through a lot mentally 😢, his feelings drowning him.
Then there's the sexy new professor Chester who commands Atti's body so beautifully. He stalks, knows what he wants, to give Atti his desires. Take him. But Atti's heart beats for ONLY one guy - his last living relative, his Uncle Ryder...right?
Ry's a business typhoon, but his personal life is a mess, he's been living a lie. He wants someone he could never have, or could he?
3 men. At Midnight. One night of filthy desire.
Can this lead to a forever? Alas, we don't find out here. It's such a tease with potential for more.
The friendship Atti has with Jake, and Ry has with Declan is cute. Loved the friends' care & surprise matchmaker skills 😆.
The MMM relationship is just starting, Chester's so mysterious while Ryder still needs to process things. All the more reason we should get more. I definitely enjoyed this ✨.
If taboo/Forbidden romance with a big age gap is ur kind of book I definitely recommend this one.
Both Rahima and Faruq struggled a bit and have been denying the feelings they have for each other for years. Having those type of feeling for ur godfather who is also like a dad to her definitely caused a little bit of problems. Especially cause he is more of a dad to her than anything. Ngl the little arguments here and there gave us a different side and perspective to their relationship.
Everything comes crashing down when she starts going on dates. Even though that cause a bit of problem their romance was really sweet. It was definitely a slow burn that had me hooked cause I just knew it was going to be amazing once they finally got together. This author really knows how to write a story that sucks u in and makes you feel everything the character is feeling
What I loved the most was even though he was very possessive of her and very dominant he was still very sweet and caring in the bedroom.
“Watch out, little monster, because tonight I’m going to make you mine.”
This book being only a short story for the Never Forever anthology was such a tease. But it was a tease in the best of ways. The banter between Atticus and his best friend Jake give you the best of laughs while you read this story. But then you as flip the pages you are introduced to not one, but two steamy hot men that are demanding Atti’s attention.
The heat that you get at the end of this short story leaves you hot and bothered but in the best of ways. However, I get the feeling that Chester has some pretty hefty secrets. And Ryder definitely has some issues to sort through as well. And Atti will no doubt have some things to mentally go through given the things what just went down.
Without a doubt, I am dying to have more from this trio of men and even some of the side characters that we meet along the way.
This anthology is rich in taboo and steam. I enjoyed reading each story and the complexities in each relationship . Please mind the trigger warnings and enjoy this anthology . I sure did.
Every way that matters by Namiin Stone.
I liked this story at first I was like hmm a father and daughter but as it progressed I understood. I can only imagine how these two felt and the way things had to come about. The love they shared was sweet and I enjoyed reading all about it . The struggles of thinking your feelings are not the same as the others . The title speaks for the story itself.
His touch In grief by Sullyn Shaw
The story of Ezri was so tragic in the beginning but an unexpected turn of events has him aching with need . who would have guessed ezri s moms boyfriend had feelings for him. Revan definitely helped ezri come out of his shell and over his loss. This story was short and literally touching.
Gosh, what a beautiful (taboo) story between a godfather (late 60s) and his goddaughter (26). Faruq (h) raised Rahima (H) since she was a little 4-year-old girl.
Rahima has been in love with Faruq, the man who raised her, for years. She has never said anything until one year after a car accident (not on page, but check TW just in case), until she almost leaves his house.. Faruq confesses that he feels the same, that he has longed for her for years... That is the start of their (taboo yet) beautiful and passionate relationship. Exhibit A:
"Come for me - come on my c*ck, Rahima. A good daughter comes on her father's aching pr*ck, yes?"
I absolutely loved Faruqs nicknames for Rahima (please correct me if I used the wrong translation) e.g., Wardatii (his rose), fatatii (my girl), and bintii (my daughter).
Lastly, I just love the writing style of Namiin Stone. I have read several books by this author and not a single one was disappointing.
This short story delves into Ezri's loss of his mother and his forbidden thoughts of his stepfather Revan. This is not a sweet story but a torrid claiming of Ezri by Revan.
You see how Ezri becomes a shell of the boy/guy he once was after his mother unexpectedly passes away. His stepfather who confesses his feelings to Ezri is determined to make him feel once again even if he has to put a little force into what he wants.
This short read is taboo and slightly dark with the theme, but it has a few spicy moments that will heat up the pages as you get to the end.
So if you need a different anthology that brings some forbidden/tabooish stories, this is a definite antho to grab.
This is my first taste of S K Graves writing. This is a short story in the Never Forever Anthology. His Touch is an MMM Professor / Student / Uncle story.
I have to say it had me grinning with the banter. I was intrigued and then gripped with what would happen next. I loved Atticus and Jakes friendship. Chester is a sinfully hot Professor.
This story is light and dark. It's funny, intense, forbidden taboo and spicy hot too.
I feel like this story has so much more to it. Many more layers to peel back. It's left me wanting more......
I was blessed with the opportunity to review this for Elice Nange & S.K. Graves
Crossroads- Elice Nange Arranged Marriage Longing for your best friend Step-siblings Secret sex-capades This was sweet and spicy and to the point. Even though Andrea is married to Matthias, she cannot helping her feeling for Jordana and Derrick. The chemistry between step brother and step sister is there and they are all longing for more with each other.
His Touch - S.K Graves Uncle and Professor MM MMM This was spicyyyyy! Atticus was drawn to his professor. The pining for his uncle, Ryder, was evident from the start. Holy damn chapter 6 was hot. Forbidden and taboo was jammed packed in this little story!
I read His Touch by S.K. Graves. This is a fast pace love story is taboo. Atticus is the nephew to Ryder who is his uncle. They both are in love with each other and Ryder decided to withdraw from his nephew to keep him safe from harm. Chester Is the professor and he had wanted him also and knew would be at the night club. This is a sweet romance that Atticus need his uncle and thought was being stocked by his professor. Hope this story has more to come.
Never Forever Anthology is a collection of taboo stories by various authors. This review is for His Touch in Grief by Sullyn Shaw. In this story, we meet Revan and Ezrii, who are grieving the loss of their beloved. But the attraction between Revan and Ezrii (step-father and step-son) is too tempting to ignore. This story is naughty and taboo. It is a quick read with hot, smutty scenes! This was a great story and I look forward to reading more of the anthology!
Every Way That Matters is so beautifully written like all of Namiin Stones writings that I have read thus far. There is so much passion woven into the words, that you feel every emotion, the guilt, the shame, the pain, the secret love that Rahima has for Faruq, numb the feelings and fight desire, the aloneness with alcohol with boys. They have both kept secrets, but the heart knows what it wants and soul yearns to become one with its mate.
I absolutely LOVED IT!!! Their writing style is absolutely the best and makes you feel like you are right there with the characters. They are one of my favorite taboo authors and I am so glad I was lucky enough to get an ARC.
“No. You are mine, forever. You understand? I take care of what is mine. I take care of who is mine. You are mine.”
DADDY FARUQ 🔥🔥
If you love taboo and have no problems with it, I definitely recommend🖤
This is an awesome collection of novellas. So many different tropes, taboos, and triggers so make sure to check those out. I enjoyed them all. I love collections like this especially novellas. It gives you the opportunity to explore several different authors and get a feel for their writing styles.
If you like spicy and taboo pick this up! I guarantee you'll be adding more than one authors other works to your TBR.
!!!Every way that matters!!! Wow... Just wow!! It took me a lil while to get into this but once I did I was like oh shit 😂 This is a slooooow burn (in all the best ways) Very taboo so if that's not something you're into then don't read this book HOWEVER if you are into extreme taboo then knock yourself out!! This is the first book I have read belonging to this author and I will definitely be exploring more of her books!!
Check your Triggers!! This is a taboo anthology with some darkness and tough topics involved. Know your limits and take care of you. Your health and wellbeing are valuable. 😘
This anthology was top notch on taboo spice. There is a wonderful blend of all the types of taboo reads. MM, forbidden, Step-brother, Why Choose, you name it. I love the different styles of all the authors and will be checking them out for more hot reads for my TBR.
I read Every Way That Matters by Namiin Stone. I loved the emotion and internal struggle that Rahima feels towards her godfather Faruk. Taboo feelings and forbidden desire for the man who raised her as his own. Also, hello wonderful diversity. It was so great to dive into another culture and ethic background as well! So, so, so good!
Crossroads by Elice nange this author is truly one of my favorites ever! Love all her books, but this adds to the loved ones! The chemistry in on point in this book my god! Lusting over long time best friend , step siblings , such spicy moments . And that fact it’s not supposed to be happening is the best! I highly recommend this book.
This is an amazing collection of forbidden and taboo romance. It is a mix bag of light and darker romances.
His Touch in Grief by Sullyn Shaw Ezri and Revan, step-son and step-father, have a story where Ezri is dealing with the loss of his mother. This is a story of feeling something after loss. This does have some darker elements and it a captivating read.
Every Way That Matters by Namiin Stone (ARC Review)
This story was so well written. I loved the way the emotional struggles that Rahima felt towards her godfather Faruq was depicted. It was very realistic, and I was on the edge till the end. I will definitely read the other stories of the Anthology.
This anthology has a little of everything from M/F, why-choose, MM and taboo. They are all spicy with some being darker than others. I had not read books by any of these authors before so it was a great way to get a feel for the authors work and I have added a load more books to my TBR because of this. Please ensure you check your TW before reading though.
Still making my way through the rest of the book, but I've just finished Every Way That Matters by Namiin Stone.
Just incredible! For a novella especially, the depth of the characters and how much I felt for them was amazing. The tension, the heat... so, so good. And the ending just set me on fire. Namiin's writing is something special! If you love taboo romance, definitely check out her work.
His Touch gives us an introduction to Atti, Ryder and Chester but the glimpse we are given is barely the tip of the iceberg, its a teaee that promises so much more.
This was a great read with tension, steam and intrigue galore. I am desperately waiting for more not just from these three sinfully delicious men but I'm hoping for more from others that we saw especially Jake 😍
