How am I supposed to keep my guard up when there's nowhere to hide?

My best friend signed me up for a dating show, and now, I'm on a tropical island with four other gorgeous ladies and five hot-as-sin men, being recorded 24/7 for six weeks.

Oh, and the audience is voting on our love lives like some new version of American Idol. FML.

This is both a dream and a nightmare come to life. I’ve never felt so desired, with not one, but three of the guys vying for my attention. The Caribbean nights are hot, but the passion is hotter. And as the competition heats up, so do the housemates’ desires.

I’ve never been one to play games, but with the pressure mounting and the producers throwing surprises at us left, right, and center, I have to decide whether to risk it all for what my heart wants.

But can I trust my heart, or will it lead me astray?

Welcome to Season One of Love on Display, a new live-streamed dating show, where the audience has the power to vote who earns time together without the cameras, and who wins the cash prize.

New bonds will be tested, alliances formed, and hearts broken as these ten singles navigate the show and learn to let go of their inhibitions and invite love, and lust, into their lives.

Features a curvy FMC, a bestie who always has her back, an emotional support iguana named Norbert, three guys who tempt like it's their side gig, and challenges to prove everyone is worthy of love.

Oh my goodness. I loved this read!!!

If you have ever watched a romance reality show and loved it, than this book is for you! This book is exactly that, except we get down to the nitty gritty details of what goes on behind the cameras! Plus, the book goes even deeper and down to our favorite genre of Why Choose.

Sophie, our voluptuous beauty that owns and manages her own clothing line, So Free, is the perfect package. Right away, she catches the attention of both Diego and Oliver. With it being so early in the show, she decides not to make any rash decisions and weighs her options before choosing. Only, one crazy night, turns into a fantasy and soon, it's the new normal and now, choosing a guy seems out of the question.

When the producers struggle to come to terms with this type of relationship on the set, changes are made and soon, Sophie is reverting back to her old ways and dropping both of the guys shes falling for.

Without giving anything away, because I too was surprised, she soon finds solace with another guy that honestly came out of left field. I ended up LOVING this guy and never thought I would.

Together these characters are all amazing and struggle with the reality show cattiness and drama. They have to decide if this is the type of relationship for now or possibly forever. When the three of them goes back down to one, can they now become a group of four? Do they have enough BPE - Big peacock energy for it to all work out? What happens when the producers throw more contestants into the mix? Do they have what it takes to make it for real?

"Come for the abs; stay for the knowledge."

I thoroughly enjoyed this read and loved everything about it. I laughed too hard at some parts and definitely was intrigued when the author threw us a third guy. The steam was perfect, and I was here for all the drama! I'm not sure how the author intends on continuing on with this series, but I am definitely here for it!

*Overall 5/5
*Heat? 5/5
*Fast/Med Burn
*Multiple first person POV
*MFMM Relationship (No MM)
*Multiple Epilogues
*Ends in HEA!

Perfect summer read

If you’re looking for the perfect by the pool, read this summer, it’s this book. It’s the end of the major TV season, so why not start a new book/new series? This gives us what we wish we could see when watching those lame dating shows. I definitely don’t watch reality TV like I used to but I remember being very invested in shows, and could never imagine myself participating. This book was absolutely adorable. It’s not so much focused on who wins (there are definitely winners) and the reality show but more on the relationships you build while on the show. There’s a lot of behind the scenes things that we don’t need to see as viewers and this is like being privy to that.

I was very invested in the season and it’s outcome because I needed to know if rules were going to be broken, if drama was going to be added, or if someone was going to be kicked off the island. It’s literally an entire season of a show in one book, it’s perfect for those who like to binge their series on Netflix.

Don’t say anything bad about the FMC because I very much enjoyed her. She’s strong and independent, she knows her weaknesses, she knows she has some insecurities, and I love seeing her overcome personal challenges and continue to succeed as a strong, successful character. I can’t say too much about the men but they were each memorable in their own way. The side characters created plenty of drama, much like a real show. While I was focused on the FMC and her journey to love, I loved being able to see how all the other journeys as well.

It’s only the end of June and I feel like this could be my favorite cute book this summer. Now I just have to hope that there is a second season and the shows isn’t canceled.

Fun spicy read. I enjoy dating reality show stories. This was a cute lighthearted read. The characters were great and reading from their different POV’s was nice, especially for a story like this.

Yes! This. I cannot tell you how much I love books that are set in reality TV. It’s like the best of both worlds, the drama of reality shows combined with the insider info from reading a book. This book is no exception to how good these types of books are. This was great! I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The characters were great, and the drama was just the right amount. The spice was nice too, and not over done. I can’t wait for another “season” To come out. I will eat that up too! I definitely recommend!

This book. Wow. First off, let’s go ahead and start with the fact that Sophie is a bada$$ unapologetic business woman who, and I quote, says “I’m a business woman who loves her job… I’m looking for is someone to join me on this wild ride, not yank me off it.” I love that she is unapologetically herself and so incredibly strong. Even in her periods of slight insecurity, which admit it we all have them, she embraces herself for who she is—smart, sexy, curvy and worthy of love. This is not your typical romance with a curvy woman, she doesn’t bend to the whims for the sake of FINDING her confidence. Nope. She already has it in spades, she wants someone to complement that. And THAT shines through! This perfectly executed romance has the perfect amount of build, passion and growth EVEN when Sophie and her love interests are on an island reality show. You have contestants who become friends, some are haters and some are genuine people. You have drama, love, emotional and mental growth. You have steep competition that progresses at the perfect pace to something more. Reality show forced proximity turns into a cluster f**k of hotness and tension all wrapped up in a big a$$ ‘sexual open commutation bow,’sprinkled, okay drenched, in ‘I know what I want and I’m going to get it 🥵,’ confetti.

Drama, passion, growth, curvy and unapologetic bad@ss who is who she is. There is no end to just how perfect this book came together.

Daria is a powerhouse and if Pippa Grant, Sophie Kinsella, Penelope Ward, Vi Keeland and Penny Reid had a baby, Daria would be the result. Amazing.

This book was a lovely surprise. I downloaded it on a whim, knowing very little about it.

The premise interested me, as I’d never read a book involving a reality t.v plot. We’re introduced to Sophie, our female mc who is a work obsessed, inclusive clothing designer.

We then slowly meet our male Mc’s (which surprised me, because despite the cover depicting three men, I had no idea this was an rh and I went in blind)

I thoroughly enjoyed this, it was written well with multiple pov’s to get an insight into our male pov’s and I read it in a couple of days.

Things I liked: The spice was well written, and I loved that a certain character had a praise kink.
I loved that we weren’t constantly reminded that the FMC is curvy; it wasn’t mentioned every paragraph and it wasn’t the cause of her self consciousness.
The beautiful back drop.
Having never read a reality to fiction book, but having watched many, I liked that it didn’t seem to be based off any particular show, but was rather a mix of several.

Things i didn’t love: Sophie was just a little too perfect. All of her actions were thought out, which caused minimal drama on the show. I kind of wished she had had a bit of an issue over her unusual circumstances, instead of taking in her stride so easily.

Due to the fact that they’re on an isolated island, it did become a little repetitive towards the end.

Glad I took a chance on this one! Excited to read the next one.

I loved this one. Such a cute contemporary RH love story. Love this because the main character is curvy and plus size. I can relate to the plus size part. Sophie is a business woman. Her and her best friend run a business together. It’s a plus size clothing business. Sophie designs all the clothing herself. Her friend Esmeralda signs Sophie up for a reality dating show. Sophie’s not so sure about it. She decides to give it a go. The dating show is set on a Caribbean island. The contestants are too pair up and see if they can make a love match. Two people at the end will win a cash prize. Sophie meet Diego, Oliver, while on the show she can’t decide between the two so they both decide to date her. Sophie it’s still not sure if she can have those so she decides she need some time away. Then she starts spending more time with Aaron. Her and Aaron decide to be a couple. Oliver and Diego still have feelings for Sophie. Who Sophie choose at the end of the show? Read the book to find out who is Sophie picks or if she doesn’t pick anyone. There is lots of drama on the show.
All the contestants also have to do activities to work on themselves, and figure out where they went wrong in past relationships.

"I am not your keeper, but I want to keep you."

This pretty much sums up the whole vibe of the book. The layers of feels here is deep and the character development is some of the best I have ever read! The FMC, Sophie, is so relatable in what she goes through during this show. Her confidence gives me confidence, and her "issue" is beyond relatable! The MMC are real and their development gave me all the feels, for one of them the original feeling was not positive either! (My mind was definitely changed as he came into himself though! Allllllllll the way changed!)

If you are in need of a well written RH RomCom that has a REAL FMC, MMC that are smitten beyond belief and a storyline that keeps you reading through the night, look no further! Also, Norbert, how could you NOT want more Norbert?! The heat level and smexy times, yes please, the MMCs are definitely here for her pleasure! Even the "villains" had me hoping for a sequel just read more of them! (No spoilers here folks!)

"I guess what I am looking for is someone to join me on this wild ride, not yank me off."

This is a book I couldn't put down from the start! It was phenomenal. I loved how the story tells of Sophie, a curvy girl and how her bestie has requested her to sign up for love on display. A new reality tv show where they meet strangers and are put on an island in a house. This is where there are interesting things happening. Challenges they get and things to do. Rules are bent and broken here. I absolutely loved Oliver but there are more fabulous guys here. Then when you think you've read it all the author has a few surprises up her sleeve and it is mindblowing. Highly recommend reading this. There is spice for sure but a great story too!

This was... not great. I'm not sure if it's the fact that I've been in a reading slump or what, but this was not my cup of tea. I am able to suspend disbelief in romance or most books I read, but holy cow this whole plot was just one big eye roll. I was excited for it because I love shows like Love Island and thought this was going to be that in a book, but it wasn't. I find it really hard to believe that 3 guys would fall in love with the same woman and be that cool with each other about it. She was honestly a decent character but it felt like it was definitely entering Mary Sue territory. Pass!

in this book, one of the guys’ morning 🍆 wood is referenced to as his ‘slumber lumber’

just wanted to share that 😂

i don’t read a lot of light romances, but sometimes i need a short break from all the 🔪 for the sake of my sanity. and this filled the job perfectly.

this is a contemporary, easy to read, and steamy reverse harem romance and ahhh i loved it 💙

🌠 if you’ve ever watched a romantic reality show and wished they didn’t censor the fun parts, this is for you. if you wish plus sized beauties were featured more on television, this is for you. if you love lighthearted romance in general, this is for you!!

lil summary:
🏝️ love island as a reverse harem romance
👗 smart and beautiful plus-sized FMC
💙 he falls first
🎀 forced proximity
💕 sweet and dedicated MMCs
📺 drama
🔥 lots of fun ;)

5 🌟
more than enough sexy times 💦

(if you love lily gold, this is for you)

i did receive this as an ARC, but this review comes honestly from my awe at what I just read 💙

Love Island is back on the UK telly. Summer is here. What better time to read Lights, Camera, Love?! I have personally been on a bit of a fantasy binge so having g something as light and fluffy as this was the perfect palate cleanser. Sophie is an incredible FMC that I know will be truly relatable for many, many women out there. I thoroughly enjoyed all the trials and tribulations thrown at us throughout this first installment of the Love On Display series and eagerly anticipate Book Two where the focus is on a familiar character.

An amazing book from this new author! It was cute, sweet, funny, and hot. I love that we’re seeing more reality dating shows in books as I haven’t read much of it before. This concept was interesting and I wasn’t sure how it was going to work out. But it was so fun watching the characters try and figure it out. After all, polyamory isn’t seen much on primetime dating shows, is it? The FMC is so relatable it isn’t funny. But there was even growth in some of the characters that weren’t the main characters and I loved it. Definitely give this one a read!

This book gives all the love island vibes with a tad of big brother! If you love reality shows, try this book you will not be disappointed.

Sophie is such a strong, spunky, fun main female character. She really struggles in spots of the book but it is a joy to watch her grow.

The men though!! Diego, Oliver, and Aaron all are absolute perfection!

RH ROM Com may be a new favorite troupe of mine after the his book! Comedy + spice, it can’t get any better

Also, Hello who doesn’t love an emotional support iguana named Norbert. Now you have to read it to find out right?

This was such a heartfelt read! It's absolute perfection! The characters are wonderful and I fell in love with them from the very beginning. If you're looking for a perfect reverse harem that is light hearted and full of banter and love but not without hardships - this is the one. I won't say anymore, go read it's a good one. I thoroughly enjoyed it. If you're someone like me who normally reads dark romance RH, this was a nice breath of fresh air. I loved each and everyone of these characters they were funny and interesting, the men were perfect and didn't blend in together. It was just nice. I like that we have Sophie who is successful and driven and beautiful, but still has things that she needs to work though. Making it so easy to relate to her and root for her to find her happy ending. Start to finish, I loved it. Highly recommend. Go read it, you won't regret it.

The concept alone for Lights, Camera, Love had me intrigued and ready to read the book. Sophie is the highly relatable, curvy entrepreneur whose bestie signs her up for a reality dating show. What ensues is a wonderfully written story that follows Sophie while she finds a few unique men that work so well together. Of course you can't have a reality show without a bit of drama too! I loved everything about this book and I'm eager to see what else will come from this author in the future!

This was the perfect summer read! Light and spicy romance about a curvy girl on a Love Island type reality dating show. It was fun in the sun with a strong independent lady boss main character - I loved it!

The love interests are charming and respectful. If you enjoy TV reality dating shows, you will recognize many of the tropes and challenges and you'll enjoy this fun twist.

The spice was the right level of hot scenes and romantic gestures.

DNF at 74% at the sex scene between one woman and three men.

Read this book if you accept polygamy in reality.

Hot guys always fall for thin chicks, so this book is an unrealistic portrayal of fat girls.

The romance is idealistic, as such a scenario never happens in reality. Just compare the number of men lusting after Vidya Balan with Disha Patani.

How do people who read and write such books face their families?

I really enjoyed this story. Sophie is fun and a little sassy. She grows as a person throughout, and I enjoyed seeing her work through things in order for her to find love. The rest of the characters, especially her guys, were great, too. Well, except for Kayla. The spice between Sophie and her guys was definitely hot. I'm looking forward to reading more in this series.

Ok, so this is not generally my kind of book I lean towards the darker romance and I have never ever watched a reality TV show it holds no appeal to me. However this book was a refreshing light read, with a more mature FMC who broaches talking points like an adult and decides to take this huge risk to get more exposure for her clothing line.

Sophie endears herself to the reader very well by being open and honest and you can identify with her life issues and what she wants for her future.

The guys, well Daria kept me guessing with number three and I wasn't amused at first....I don't know how she did it but he became my favourite...no spoilers.

The other two Diego and Oliver are very different and I can see why Sophie falls for them both but I'm all in for Oliver, where can I get one?

All in all its a lovely light contemporary RH, with enough of a hook about a side character to get you back for book 2.

I absolutely loved and adored this book. It’s like Love Island met the Bachelorette, but FINALLY gave plus size women representation, and some spice! I love that we get the POV from multiple characters so you get so much more of the story. The ending of the book was a little quick, I wish it was longer just because I wanted more!! Can’t wait for the next one!

Unconventionally cute

Sophie, a busy body entrepreneur, takes a chance at finding love on a reality dating show set on a remote Caribbean island. While I started reading this book with the expectations of how typical reality shows unfold, I was taken aback at how wrong I was! This was a cute read and ended up being a not so typical scenario…which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

Love island eat your heart out. This novel beats their drama hands down. And what a plot twist!

It has laughs, vulnerability, hot sex, group sex, finding yourself, love, sweetness and all the things.

The only reason it's four stars for me is that it just all felt a bit too level headed. I'd have expected a bit more self reflection and drama from the guys.

Still, worth a read

I loved every second of this book and it was 5 stars for me until the epilogue with the cringiest wedding scene and an ungodly surprise pregnancy reveal. That ruins a book for me. Otherwise it was very good and made me interested in more reverse harems which I didn’t think I’d enjoy.
