While exploring new ways to increase foot traffic in Rose Cottage Books, bookshop owner Meagan Poe receives an opportunity she can’t refuse. Friend and beauty columnist Piper Watts offers her a ticket to The Grove Spa and Retreat. The luxurious haven on Nantucket serves celebrities and locals alike, and Meagan revels in the idea of spending a long weekend there free of charge. She accepts Piper’s offer, hoping a refreshing few days away will clear her head and spark creativity.
Meanwhile, Robin Baker, a loan underwriter for Nantucket’s Ocean and First Bank, dreams of better days. She’s spent years trying to prove her worth to her boss and to her long-term boyfriend. However, at each opportunity, she’s met a roadblock. Her boss doesn’t want to promote her, and her boyfriend is reluctant to commit to marriage. At her wit’s end, Robin knows she must make a decision. Piper’s invitation to the spa comes at the perfect moment. She’s ready to relax and unwind, and reflect on what she truly wants in life.
Once at the spa, the women enjoy being pampered, forging new friendships, and helping Piper do research for her latest article. They also catch a surprise glimpse of celebrity guest Mia, a supermodel who vanished from the public eye years ago. Piper makes it her mission to unearth the reason for the model’s disappearance, and if she’s lucky, conduct an exclusive interview with her.
As the weekend unfolds, the women must lean on each other, sharing their hopes of new beginnings and finding the strength to meet the challenges ahead with courage and confidence.
