Mr. Book just finished Sports Illustrated: The Football Vault: Great Writing From The Pages Of Sports Illustrated.

This book was published in 2023.

This book is an anthology of 33 football articles that were published in Sports Illustrated. The dates of the articles range from 1966 to 2012.

The best articles were the ones on the effects of football on high school players’ brains, the effects of football on the bodies of NFL players, Joe Montana, long snappers and Nick Buoniconti.

I give this book a B.

Goodreads requires grades on a 1-5 star system. In my personal conversion system, a B equates to 3 stars. (A or A+: 5 stars, B+: 4 stars, B: 3 stars, C: 2 stars, D or F: 1 star).

I’ve been betting on football casually for a while, and it’s surprisingly fun. Tracking stats at https://1xbetapkbangladesh.com/ and team form keeps me engaged with every game. I enjoy making predictions with friends and discussing outcomes after matches. Winning feels exciting, but even when I lose, it adds to the suspense. It’s a simple way to stay connected to the sport and enjoy match days more fully.
