The Devil's Hand: Monk

Something is wrong…

It’s not like I didn’t see it coming. From the moment I saw Juno, I knew. There was no loving her without loving danger.

Sal told me not to let her out of my sight, but I did. I told myself it would be okay. Even as I watched her wave to me from the ferry the last time I saw her. I could feel it, I could feel it in my chest, something was coming for us.

By the time Juno’s texts stopped, I had already called Sal and he told me what I needed to do. I knew he was right, but it didn’t make it any easier.

If I really wanted to find Juno, I needed to reach into my past.

The past was hell to me, and hell is a place I don’t like to revisit. But without those connections, finding Juno would be nearly impossible.

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, and I was well aware I was about to walk straight into the flames.

I prepared myself to do something I never thought I would do. To make a call I never imagined I’d be making. I searched carefully for the words I’d need to say.

I need your help. I’ve lost someone.

The second part Monk & Juno’s story. You definitely have to read the first book to understand everything. It’s a good finish with plenty of action and drama.

This is the second book in the High Stakes Series. This is the story of Monk and Juno and he is for sure an alpha protector. He will do anything it takes for the ones he loves. Juno is on a mission since she started getting messages from her brother's phone she decided to go search for him. She promised to contact him every single day. Now that she is gone and he hasn't heard from her, he is really worried when she isn't answering her phone and he knows that he needs to find her. That is about all I can tell you about the book. It isn't super long and contains so many twists and turns. Secrets will be revealed and there are all kinds of emotions flying all over the place.

Thanks to Booksprout for a copy of this book.

I liked the first book of this series much more than I liked this one. In fact, I gave it four stars because of the naturally fun banter between Juno and Monk. But I withdrew my promise to review this book because I just couldn't like it before deciding that I wasn't a quitter. I managed to complete reading this book...barely.

I was expecting more of Juno and Monk in this book, but the author suddenly shifted the story away from Juno and brought in Bennie instead. And then there were a lot of things going on in this book that I couldn't make heads nor tails of. There were background plots being woven into the main plot, random people coming out of the woodwork and hinting at there being another book in this series. There was a lot of OW drama because Juno wasn't around, and honestly, that's just not for me. If anyone else is interested in that, great for them, but I won't be reading the next book in the series.

I loved reading this book it was great, the story was captivating, definitely a page turner and the characters were really amazing. This story was about Monk (Ray) and Juno. ,Juno missed her brother and as soon as she started getting texts from his phone she had the urge to look for him so she left saying she will contact him everyday. Monk was worried about Juno he cannot reach her she was not answering her phone, so now he needs to find her. There were so many twist and turns, secrets, suspense, lies, memories, guilt, danger, enemies, pain, relief, romance and many more emotions throughout this story.

The Devil's Hand: Monk is the second Billionaire High Stakes series book. It continues Juno and Monk's story. She went off in search of her brother only to go missing herself. She is the one woman he loves with his everything, and he must find her or lose himself. What follows is a lot of drama, more secrets revealed and resolved, twists, suspense, and more. The storyline is very intriguing and moves slowly at first, but it gives us the backstory. The characters are compelling and keep you turning the pages. All in all, this is an entertaining read.

This is the second part of Monk and Juno’s journey. Juno is on a mission to search for her brother after receiving messages from his phone, while Monk is worried as he has not heard from Juno. This is a well written emotion roller coaster, which is action packed, with twists, suspense, danger, secrets, intrigue, romance, mystery, lies, guilt, and love, which leads to a steamy, entertaining, and unpredictable addictive page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

I'm torn with this review: The Devil's Hand continues Juno and Monk's story, but veers off to Ray and Bennie's history and then back to Juno. I dunno - BUT the story still, somehow, sucked me in and left me with a bleeding heart. Monk (Ray) and Juno are just too beautiful together. . But since she goes off in search of her brother for the first half of the book they aren't as heavily featured as the first book. ? Still all the drama and feels you could ask for!.

This is my first book I've read by Shilo West and I must say I enjoyed this story. I noticed that it is useful to also read the first part because the story of Juno and Monk continues in the second part. Their story contains suspense, mystery, action, drama, it's a roller coaster of emotions and definitely worth reading. I will definitely be reading more from this author.

Monk is the completion of the Devil's Hand duet. Little back story to start, but should read book #1 to be up to speed. Juno has left to find her brother and goes missing herself. Monk pulls from his past to find her. This story has it all - action, suspense, intrigue, secrets, danger...and so much more. I really enjoyed this one!.

This is the second book in the series and I do recommend reading them in order. Monk and Juno’s story continues. Juno is looking for her brother and now she is missing. Monk is going to have to use connections from his past if he has any hopes of finding her. Fast-paced read with loads of drama, emotion and action. I was hooked from beginning to end. I loved it.

Loved it! I really enjoyed some of the new characters like Bennie, she's a new favorite of mine. She adds a good dynamic between her and Monk. I liked how this book wrapped up the story nicely, but still left room for more…looking forward to the next book in this series…

A Devil's Hand

Well this was a very interesting book. It delves into Monk's past. In his search for Juno he finds out a secret that was years in the making. There is a lot of deception. It is getting very intriguing and can't wait to read the next book.
