Multiple photos of historic subjects were incorrect. Supposedly Charles Sumner was actually Thaddeus Stevens and William Seward, Jr. was pictured instead of the Secretary William Seward. Looks like they just did bad google searches to find the photos. Makes me not trust the rest of the book.

A bare bones history of the Civil War; it has a brief outline of each year, followed by a short focus on a few selected battles. There were a few minor mistakes scattered throughout the book (for example, James Andrews from the Great Locomotive Chase was referred to as "captain") and the focus in some sections seemed a little scattered (the Kernstown section had very, very little information on First Kernstown; it has more info on the entire 1862 Valley Campaign). This book probably works better for people who haven't read anything about the Civil War.
