Wow! This was a lot to take in. I had no idea there are so many different ways a man can be dominant, and I’m sure there are women who are like that as well. If there’s one thing I’ve learned from all of the Dufort’s is that being a dom doesn’t necessarily mean chains, whips, crawling and spanking. It can mean other things too. Take Aiden for example. He got off from telling Lily what to do in the bedroom without the use of any of the above mentioned things. He just wanted to pleasure both of them and order her around. It takes a special kind of woman or person to enjoy this and it has to feel natural. I noticed this with Lily but her personality was also like this. She didn’t enjoy confrontation and found it was easier to just comply and listen, avoid all conflict and be agreeable. I can relate to her with this but the things she did in the bedroom, I would not be able to do. I would make it awkward, plus it would be uncomfortable for me. It doesn’t mean I didn’t get into it while reading it, I just mean I wouldn’t want that to be me. In the moment, I can visualize the scene and imagine this is the type of person I am and it’s great to be in that state. Why am I talking about this and not the actual story itself? It’s simple, this book was pretty much sex scenes. It made up the majority of their relationship, but yet they were also getting to know each other and falling in love without acknowledging or admitting it until the very end. Well, Aiden fell first and it’s apparent in the way he is emotionally torn up about her and the fact that nobody took him seriously when he said he was developing feelings for her. They all expected him to leave her broken and torn apart because of his personality and the way he is. I felt bad for him in this story because here he was basically expressing his emotions and feelings and his family didn’t believe him. In reading this story, you realize that Aiden is a big softie though he comes off as dominant in everything he does. He cares heavily and loves deeply despite the need to be in control and his confidence he exudes. It takes him a while but he does have feelings and is afraid of rejection so he carries himself as carefree and strong, like nothing bothers him. Lily however, was stubborn. Most of these women in this series are. I can’t think of a time when I wasn’t frustrated with them. Lily was no exception. In fact, she takes the cake from all the women I’ve read about so far. Aiden not only had his family convinced, but also Lily convinced that she doesn’t mean anything. He had her believing this whole thing is all fun and games for him and he will never settle down or fall in love and is destined to hurt women. This was so far from the truth and I wish his family and Lily gave him the time of day to show it. I wish I could have gone into the pages of this book, nudged Lily and have her see reason to give him a chance and not be so afraid of him and what he offers. She made it seem like she despised him, but expressed that he can give her orgasms though, that’s fine. It’s enough to make you roll your eyes. This book had me more angry and frustrated with their relationship, but in a good way, hence why despite my annoyance at Lily, this still gets a 5 from me. Now, onto Amelia’s story.
i really enjoy this series ...i think i have a huge appreciation or understanding of this author and all her books so far ...now i have read a lot of spicy books ...it truly depends on what you like or wish for ...so all levels are great in their own way ...i think like i said for me ...since i started with book 1 and 3 ...i got to Fletcher's after that ...now that is the one i love ...but if you look at the spicy level or what he does with his found relationship or lady ...it is not the same as his other brothers ...neither is better or right ...just different. for me ...now that i am at book 7 ... i love all the Dufort family stuff. .. the interacting and all that silly times ...funny at times. but what i was looking for is a difference in the relationships ...i can not imagine that any relationship would ever be the same ...that they should be written the same etc. i wonder ... now if the authors enjoys that and that is what she wanted ...which is the case in both book 6 and 7 ... i would love a family tree ...i think these family members are cousins ...do i even have that right? that would be a great plus ... add into the book a family tree. so i think the fathers are related ...so that would be like first cousins ...i think i am correct? it doesn't really matter ... i mean you can follow it all just that when i PAY for books i wanna know that kind of stuff and feel even more connected to my characters i am reading about etc. for me ... if and since this is my review ... i don't see much difference ... like if you are reading a MC Romance book (series) all the characters are usually different and really not at all similar ...but since like i said i have now read seven books ...
... ..
.. i had hope for more ...so for that reason ... you read it you decide but for me ... i had hope for more ...for pizzazz!!! wow ... a shocker? a cliffhanger ...something. u know??! just saying.
---- ----
i think all authors are allowed to do whatever they want ...but when you pay ... like meaning that you didn't find it free, whatnot ...if that make sense. i think it does for me ... just read it if you so desire ...maybe it is your or will peak you interest ...etc. i am kind of yawn.
Ruthless Temptation is exactly what the title says. These Dufort are ruthless in what they want and Aiden may just be the most ruthless of them all. He is dominant in all aspects of life until he sees Lily. She is the gentle breeze that knocks his sails unexpectedly. They come from way different worlds but when they come together the chemistry is off the charts. Finding their way to share a life proves nearly impossible especially when people keeping trying to tell them it will never work because they aren’t cut from the same cloth. Really people need to but out and let fate decide. Hot, steamy scenes, tears and happiness all abound. This one will rip your heart out and then shove all the glued pieces back in.
Aidan and Lily are exactly how I would think a newly bussing relationship between billionaire and average girl would go. Their interactions, flirtations and silly quirks are sure to keep you hooked from the first to the last page (and you definitely want to get in on that epilogue!!!). Aidan is down to earth, doesn't like to brag and hilarious, while Lily is someone extremely relatable, dealing with real world problems and trying her to best to find solutions to them. She doesn't cower before his dominating personality, in fact she compliments him so well!
PHENOMENAL! Aidan Dufort Ruthlessly pursued Tempting Lily in Ruthless Temptation, the 6th Book in the Dufort Series, and let me tell you, it was HOTT 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Aidan is authoritative, demanding & boldface but he is also Loving, Affectionate & Compassionate. Lily is Soft, Submissive (just his type) and a little insecure, but Aidan finds every opportunity to compliment her and show her how desirable she is. The way Aidan also supported her through her grief was so sweet & endearing that my heart was aflutter ❤️🤗 This is an awesome series and I can’t wait to read the rest of the books. Juliette Banks is simply Fantastic 🙌🏽
Aidan Dufort (age 31) is happy with life and to attend his brother Logan and Emma’s wedding. Lily Peterson (age 31) is one of Emma’s bridesmaids. She is compliant, obedient, and soft.
Aidan and Lily have the perfect D/s traits and make for a cute couple. I love submissive spicy scenes and seeing Aidan realize his love and also own it. So happy to see Liky get an HEA she deserves!
Aidan’s inner monologue is hilarious, especially the ongoing Prada clothing jokes! Loved seeing all the prior couples as they were all gathered at the wedding.
I am very intrigued by Amelia’s story, especially after that chapter sneak peek 👀
Ok ok hear me out... just finished the next Dufort book and I am still reeling! This one has a bit of everything you could want thrown into it and it all comes together in the most amazing way. Forget book boyfriends... I have a book soul mate and Aidan Dufort is it! I am claiming him. 🤣🤣 You do not want to miss this book!
I devoured that way to fast and what a delicious feast it was. As always Juliette wrote an amazing book, the storyline was fun, and a little naughty, but in the best possible way. They dynamic between all the characters was strong and believable, just as the chemistry between the two main characters was off the charts.
I really like the Dufort series. It’s fn to read the dynamics among the family and friends. All the books are intertwined but all are HEA’s. They are well written. I’ve ordered the next book and I’ll order the one after that
The heroine got really annoying towards 80% and the ending was rushed. Cliffhanger again! I liked the hero but, but there were also too many profanities using Jesus or God which I personally have an issue with.
This was painful to get through. No substance and the main character's writing felt like it was AI generated. Who the fuck wants to be called peaches and their main "sir"???
This book had me laughing, crying and swooning. Aiden and Lily's story had me from page one. From start to finish took me 7 hours because I could not put it down.
Here’s the thing. I really enjoyed this series but once it got to Aiden, Amelia, Blake…I just really didn’t care about them or reading it anymore. So I stopped here.
Masterful Aidan is a character worthy of spicy dreams! His confidence and ability to take control, put him on the short list of brilliant book boyfriends for sure! Aidan is a dominant personality, but he is also a nurturer at heart, which gives him great dimension as a character. Control was important, especially in intimate relationships, but he wasn’t controlling, if that makes sense. Lily is sweet and funny, and she needs Aidan’s strength as she faces a rough moment in her life. She is the perfect balance to Aidan. All of my favorite Dufort family members show up for Logan and Emma’s wedding in Hawaii, including Fletcher and Olivia’s new baby! Even with all the excitement and happiness, Aidan and Lily face situations that will leave you in need of a fresh box of tissues! We eventually get that “happily ever after” ending, but I felt like I had paid for it in tears. Loved it!
