Bear Willis: Mountain Man: Wagon Train to Hell Part One!: A Mountain Man Adventure

Rate this book
It’s late spring, and the Green River Fur Trader Rendezvous is history. Like most other mountain men, Bear and his son Eric know that the beaver trade is over. So looking for work, Bear and Eric sign on as guides and hunters for a wagon train heading for Oregon. Right from the start, things go wrong. Then, events worsen when a con man named Heck Green joins the wagon train. Bear is forced to take command when the wagon master is killed. Now Bear and his son Eric must battle the elements, a scheming Green, and one disaster after another.

However, when a jealous younger woman threatens Eric’s marriage and his life, Bear must make a hard decision that nearly brings the wagons to a grinding halt. Will Eric’s new wife forgive him? Can Bear overcome all odds and keep the wagon train moving. Or will they all end up with their bones bleaching in the sun?

Writing has always been a lifelong dream. Finally, at 71 years young, that dream became a reality. I am honored to be part of Dusty Saddles Publishing, the leading publisher of Western Novels. Currently, I have several Western Series on Amazon: Chet Henderson: Texas Ranger Adventure Series, Bear Willis: Mountain Man Series, and Willie McGee: Mountain Man Series. Along with a co-write with my granddaughter.

In creating my Westerns, I wanted to do three things, be authentic, create likable characters, and tell a good story. With a lot of hard work and prayer, my books have been well received, so, I must be doing something right.

I live with my wife of fifty-three years and our cat Moxie on Rattlesnake Ridge. We are lucky that our children, grandchildren, and great-grandson all live close by. When I'm not writing, I enjoy woodcarving, fishing, and pampering my classic Jaguar.

I donate a portion of the profits from my books to Veteran charities, including the Veteran’s Independence Project.
