Things have taken a seriously nasty turn.
Can someone please let me off this rollercoaster?

Everywhere I look, there’s drama and danger ready to pounce from the shadows. Nowhere feels safe, and trust seems to be a rare commodity.

Damn.
Just damn.

But the twisted forces bringing all this chaos to the table must be stopped, no matter what.
Even if it feels like I'm always ten steps behind.

At least I have the sensational kisses of my delicious Death to carry me through this mess…

Death Unbound is the third book in an M/M Paranormal Urban Fantasy Romance series packed with mystery, danger, a knitting necromancer, a delectable immortal being, plenty of sizzle, and rather disgusting liquid mushrooms.

This book is not a standalone.

Richard Amos is an author from England who is constantly lost in the worlds he writes about, and the ones in the queue yet to be written. Richard writes M/M Fantasy, Urban Fantasy, and Paranormal Romance, all with tons of kick-ass action, adventure, twisty plots, and yummy times.

Emotional damage people... "Death Unbound" has left me emotionally damaged. I'll probably heal, sometime in the future, but right now I'm left with some mental open wounds after finishing this book. This third book in the "Necromancer Rising" series pulled me through an emotional rollercoaster, going from anger and the unhealthy desire to unalive some fictional characters to sadness and a lot of feelings of compassion for the two main characters in this series.

Both Death and Marcel keep going through one bad thing after the other, and there aren't many storylines that leave me with such an intense desire as to see the characters reach their HEA. Because they deserve it, more than many others, for everything they've been through over the years but especially within the timeframe of this series. I don't want to give away spoilers, so I won't say too much about the storyline in this third book, but some unexpected twists definitely added something extra to the story.

I have no idea how this story will continue in the fourth book, and how they will ever be able to resolve the mess they're both in, but I desperately need it to happen... These characters managed to become close to my heart

I know Richard isn't an author who's afraid of killing his characters. But ouch. No punches were pulled in the making of this book.

Holy moly! What the heck did they just go through? At the end of this book, I think I know so much more about what’s really going on, but I’m also desperately searching for even more answers. There are so many revelations, yet a lot of them appear to be about double-crosses that land Marcel and Death in loads more trouble. Where this book leaves off makes me badly want to break fragile things, and possibly give my reader flying lessons. I’m not going to try and guess how our heroes are going to snatch victory from the circumstances they’re currently caught in. What I am going to do is set an alarm to make sure I can be one of the first to get my hands on the next book. I need to know how this all ends and I need to know NOW!
I received a complimentary advance copy of this book from the author.

Sooo much happening here! Poor Marcel and Death deserve their happy ending and it just feels like it'll never happen!

This story was fast-paced, with twists and turns constantly. You really can't predict what will happen, because it never does!

I dislike so many characters in this series, and I can't wait for them all to get what's coming to them. The finale is sure to be a wild ride. I really have no clue what to expect but I'm excited to read it!

Sooo, we've reached the third instalment of Marcel and Death's story (100% must be read in order)…and holy moly is this an emotional rollercoaster of a book.

Without giving away any spoilers, we see just how much our MCs love each other, how stinking evil some characters can be, how much corrupt power can influence actions…and just how mean this author can be to his precious creations. 😆 I mean, there haven't been many occasions when I've genuinely wanted to commit acts of violence on behalf of fictional characters but Marcel and Death are truly put through the wringer with one threat after another bombarding them. The good thing, though? I absolutely trust this author to come through with the (seriously!) hard fought HEA. I can’t wait to see how things turn out in book four.

So, for now, I'll just have to be content that I got to spend another few hours in Death and Marcel’s company, reading brilliant urban fantasy full of cracking world-building, fabulous characters and a great plot with enough magical twists and turns/emotional ups and downs to satisfy any genre junkie. An easy 5*

An ARC was provided by the author. This is my honest review.

Secrets to Share

‘Death rode his white horse, his hair rippling in the wind, as radiant as always, a proper knight coming for his love. Pegasus stopped, neighing, Death smiling down at me. “You’re…” My voice box malfunctioned. “Surprise,” he said. “Climb on.” He offered me his hand. Was I hallucinating? Did the stuff Nick injected me with cause hallucinations? When my fingers brushed Death’s warm flesh, I got my answer.’

So much happens in Death Unbound, book three in Richard Amos’ Necromancer Rising series!

This MM urban fantasy will have your pulse racing, as Death and Marcel continue to fight to find a way to be together for always. Nasty Nick and Emma throw everything they can at the two to thwart their chance at happiness.

We find out more about those who have been a part of this scheme for centuries, while continually reassessing just who to trust. Rogues and ghosts play an important part in the drama, and while fleeting, shown romance is limited while our boys fight off evil in its highest form.

Amos takes us on a fantastic journey, once again!

Death Unbound by Richard Amos is book three of the Necromancer Rising Series. I’ve been a fan of this author since I read the first book in this series. But boy did this book absolutely try to break my heart! I was on such an emotional rollercoaster coaster of sadness, anger and just can they catch a damn break!?! I think I read this book the fastest out of them all, I needed to see if there was some type of resolution to what the pair was dealing with… I think this could be my favorite. Maybe… I’m still emotionally torn up.

Marcel and Death are trying their hardest to fight the bad stuff that keeps happening to them. They literally have to fight to be together when things are trying to desperately keep them apart. Why can’t they have a chance at happiness? ( You know who I’m talking about when you read the book) I don’t know where the next book is going to go and that really intrigues me since I don’t have the slightest of clues. But I do know my boys need to catch a break! Here’s looking forward to the next one!

So many twists and turns with this book but I loved it! All Marcel and Death want is to be together and love each other but something or someone always puts a wrench in those plans. Now, they must stop Nick from accomplishing his goals, whatever they are. There are double and triple crosses In this book that will sometimes give you whiplash but that's what made this book interesting. You can't help but want to read from beginning to end. Who helps who and who is a traitor?

Some questions are answered but more questions arise. We do see Jenn, Marcel's best friend, appear in this book after not seeing her for awhile. The events that happen after she appears is mind boggling. It is a bittersweet reunion but how long will that last?

Love the interaction and love between Marcel and Death. It is short lived as they figure out how to stop Nick and the rogues. That cliffhanger in the end for both Marcel and Death makes you wish it didn't end there. And it won't since book 4 is on the horizon and I'm so ready to read what happens next and if they will finally have their HEA.

This series' hook is now more deeply embedded.
When Marcel was last read about, in Death Enraptured, Book #2, he was in the hands of High Warden Emme Lackey (appropriate name) in dire straits because he'd been drugged. Now he's escaped since gaining an 8th thread of power, teleportation, so he could get out and start to look for his beloved Death. Death has lost his ruby, caused by lich Nick breaking it. These mutual circumstances result in a convoluted journey for both. Marcel gains powers he never dreamed of or wanted, and Death has succumbed to a comatose state. Throw in the sub characters of Jon, Yvonne, Leo and his despicable "mate" Robert, the members of the High Council, and blessed Winnie, Death's familiar, and the reader has a great 3rd story with a nail biting but intriguing cliff hanger that only leaves one waiting impatiently to read "Death Undone" this coming October. This is my ARC review.

Putting the romance in necromance......
The two protagonists - Marcel and, yes, you are reading this right, 'Death' meet up to resolve a lot of issues left from book 2. (BTW - NOT a stand alone book - gotta really read books 1 & 2). New enemies are dealt with - continuining enemies are, well, kinda dealt with. This is book 3 our of a total series of 4 books. As I'm reading along seeing if the god of Death can resolve his differences with his pentheon and find a path to being able to love and be with Marcel through many exciting adventures, stumbles and heart rending discoveries I was left thinking that this is a trick. The series is gonna get finished in this book. But then Richard Amos takes us on an adventure that makes Disney's Mr. Toad's Wild Ride look like a mid-day siesta. Wow! What an incredible finish. It left me breathless and absolutely pining for book 4. Now I can't wait to see how Marcel and Death wrap things up.

In book 3 of Marcel and Death's love story, Richard Amos didn't go easy on the guys. He never does. I've felt such strong connection to both MCs from book 1 that the pain they have to go through is breaking my heart and makes me keep reading at the same time. In this book, new challenges are coming, and the story gets more and more twists. These guys have been fighting for their love for centuries, never giving up. The book is evoking such strong feelings in me: compassion and anger, admiration and irritation. And anxiety. Anxiety to get my hands on book 4 and see how the story will turn. Oh, and I want my own Daisy Pocket. So cool. This book isn't a standalone, so if you are reading this review, you are most certainly already hooked. Still, I highly recommend it to everyone who loves complete immersion into a unique world with love, magic, and battles with evil (wouldn't avoid that one).

I’m enjoying this series, and am already hanging out for the final book. I love that Marcel is a necromancer who knits, and his and Death’s struggle to be able to pursue their relationship without destroying the world. As I’ve come to expect from this author, the worldbuilding is rich, detailed, and a little different.

The scenes between Marcel and Death are sweet, and also very angsty, considering how much they go through in this book. I love how Death does the right thing, then it all backfires. These two are not going to get their HEA without going through hell and back first.

The action scenes are tense and I liked that not everyone survives.

I love Marcel’s family, and the conversation between his mother and Death. I liked how the so-called good guys are often anything but. It’s very difficult to know who to trust or not.I didn’t see the twist at the end coming. Nicely done.

This one has a nasty cliffhanger, and I want the next book now.

Wow. That was sure a difference from the previous book. I liked the characters this time. So many twists and changes. Bizarre weird about-faces. It was exciting and interesting even though I had no idea what would happen next. It was almost too weird, almost random like the author thought, “What shall I do next?” It fell just short of ridiculous, although I sometimes wondered why a certain power was used sometimes and not others. Still, I really liked it. So much imagination.

This ended on a major cliffhanger, seemingly a random place like last time. It certainly made me want to read the next one immediately.

The reader, Cooper North, was excellent. My only complaint was that he only differentiated the voices for Death and Marcel when the other was talking. They were great voices, particularly Death, but when narrating themselves, in the first person, the voices were the same so I sometimes missed in whose POV we were.

With each book the story just keeps getting better. In this one it makes you feel like the bad guys are destined to win. Marcel and Death are back. We pick up with Marcel fleeing from the high warden. Him and Death reunite. Marcel is to stay in the daisy pocket while Death goes to try and find the onyx key. They are still trying to stop Nick as well. Marcel is forced out of the daisy pocket. Death goes back to work. He finally stops Nick. They think everything is better now. Oh how wrong they were. Marcel and Death are going to find the onyx key together. Then something happens to Death. All the necromancer’s and rouges get extra powers. Now Marcel has to try and figure out how to help Death and everyone else. Will Death come back? Will Marcel go back to work? Is Nick still gone for good? Check out Marcel and Deaths next adventure.

Death Unbound continues the Necromancer Rising series and if you've read this far you're going to want to grab this book, too!
Book three picks up where book two left off. Marcel - on the run. His family? Who knows where. And Death? Having to make some hard decisions. They've been outed. Exposed. Their secret love revealed and the devastation that it can create. Now what? Well, buckle up because you're about to be thrown on a roller coaster of a ride!
The good news? Things are looking up! For all of five minutes. Sigh. LOL! You really just want them to have a moment to be happy, but nope! Happiness is fleeting, didn't you know? LOL!
This book is a real page-turner and includes some deliciously steamy scenes. I can't wait to find out what happens next. Here's hoping everything works out for our guys!

Death Unbound, the third book in Necromancer Rising series by Richard Amos was a roller coaster ride of twists and turns and I couldn’t put it down!

This story continues with Marcel and Death still trying to break their curse but with opposing forces out there that are still creating chaos and mayhem you may start ti wonder if they’ll ever get their HEA! Be warned it does not nd on a delicious little cliffhanger

Overall this is a must read continuation of this fabulous story and a captivating read full of love and steamy heat, betrayal and redemption and so much more you have to read it for yourself to see! Amos is a master at delivering captivating stories and this one is no exception. Needless to say, I can't wait for more of Marcel and Death. Will love prevail or will the curse forever remain unbroken?!? I need to know!

Death and Marcel are fighting on, facing challenge after challenge and obstacle after obstacle, with any kind of happy ending nowhere in sight. The story is full of twists and turns, surprises, and very volatile emotional range that plays with the reader chapter after chapter. There is a lot of drama and emotional strain packed in these pages, and the supply of what can life throw in their way seems to be endless. The third book in the series sheds already a lot of light on the backstory and what is really going on, but mysteries stay and keep the reader engaged, motivated to wait impatiently for the next book to come. The action and problems seem to dominate the book yet the love between the main characters, their devotion and determination, shine through the clouds and I will love to see them come together one day.

Death Unbound is book three in Richard Amos’ Necromancer Rising series (books 100% must be read in order). What a crazy ride this one was! I’m still not sure what I just read, and I may have spend an inordinate amount of time cursing the author.

The story was was fast-paced, with twists and turns constantly. You really can't predict what will happen, because every time I try I am nowhere near right! i'm desperately searching for even more answers. There are so many revelations, so many double-crosses that land Marcel and Death in loads more trouble. I have no idea how these guys are going to snatch victory from the circumstances they're currently caught in.

Never have I disliked so many characters in this series, and I can't wait for them all to get what's coming to them. The finale is sure to be a wild ride. I really have no clue what to expect but I'm excited to read it!

What a fabulous third book! I think my favorite element of this book is seeing Marcel and Death take on some different roles. In this book, Marcel seems more in charge and in control, and Death more sidelined and more chaotic. I think he and Marcel's relationship feels so much more solid because of the glimpses we get into Death's mind and feelings. Anecdotally, I love Emma's character arc in this story. It felt right! There were also some really fun elements to watch: Yvonne, Jon, Life, and of course the worst lich in the world, Nick. Even though the cliffy was a tiny bit traumatic, I LOVED IT!

In this latest installment of Marcel's story, we begin right where we left off. The drama starts right away and questions are answered and then more are brought up. What is happening with Death? What is happening with Marcel?
I can't even explain the joy with Emma, when she finally got what she deserved!!
Robert is angry, I get why, but that doesn't make what he does okay.
It's been days and I still cannot get over the shock value of this story. I am dying to get the next book. I need to know what happens!! Where can we possibly go from here? I am so invested in Death and Marcel getting their HEA that I don't know what I will do if they don't get it.

Wow 😳 This series just gets better and better. Just when you think Death has returned to work and order has been restored, it turns out that the 20 year break can cause some serious side effects. Death's return turns out to be brief and Marcel becomes the new Death, but not quite. Death is still himself just weaker and Marcel just gained some of Death's abilities. The ghosts are drawn to both of them, but it feels wrong. Things with Nick seem to go in their favor, until it doesn't. However, Nick's plans don't exactly reach the fruition he was hoping for. This doesn't necessarily mean it works in Death and Marcel's favor either.

Amos pulls out all the plot twist stops in this penultimate novel in the series. To say I can't wait for book four is an understatement. Marcel and Death are deepening their relationship, but they have so little couple time because of Nick's scheming and trying to figure out who they can trust to make things turn out right. We get answers to lots of questions, but more are raised to take their place. Thank goodness this author is so skilled at world building so it's never difficult to follow what's going on, you're just constantly delightfully surprised.

Marcel and De@th (D) are drawn deeper into the action and despair in this third book in the series.
So much deceit, so much anguish.
Emma, the High Warden is one nasty piece of work. Keeping up with who is being unalived and who is double-crossing who will keep you on your feet while D and Marcel fight for their right to love one another.
I’m looking very much forward to the next - and final book in the series. This one ends on quite a cliff. RA has a wild imagination and this series is one thrilling ride.

OMG You would have thought I was a mob boss as many times I said She needs to die. My poor stirring wheel lololol. Marcel pisses me off too I just want to slap him a good majority oof the time and say 🗣️BETCHHHHH GET IT TOGETHER. I just keep screaming at him 🗣️YOU THE DAM PROBLEM. The last time we saw Marcel he was in a bad spot and things just continued to go downhill from there. Death and Marcel's big question finally gets answered but a whole new crop of questions popped up and to say their situation was FUBAR is an understatement of epic proportions. I absolutely cannot wait to see how it all ends, October can't come soon enough.

This author really transports you into the plot and the world around me disappeared apart from the world on the page. I'm loving marcel and death and the progression of their relationship. The action was pumping and I'm eager for the next.

I’ve loved Death and Marcel from the very first book and they are still amazing in this one. And they are still struggling against the curse to be together. They have so many things to fight against and overcome for their romance. And we’ve got so many twists and turns to deal with. There is a good amount of action and emotion in this one. And they do need to be read in order. I want so much more of these characters and their world!
