The Wilds: Journals of Rise
The Wilds is the third entry in the Journals of Rise series. As Titus had feared, the world and ambitions of others have found Yuin. Kyita, Deshi, and Elisa return to find the village in flames. Meanwhile, the Mountain Folk reveal themselves to Kyita Day. Running away is no longer an option. Kyita must make a choice about if he will fight, and what he will fight for.
In the addition to the main storyline, The Wilds follows the young Ta'harrin Iya and her father Iffean, struggling to carve out a life from the barren and cold far-reaches of Calesh. They hunt and live off of the land. Iffean teaches his daughter the ways of the stars, hunting, and the bow. Iya enjoys her and her father's simple existence, unitl one day Iffean must choose between the lashings of the Man'hanin that rule Calesh, and risking a daring hunt for Elk in the land of the territorial Tafh people.
