Tintin in America ( Tintin en Amérique) is the third volume of The Adventures of Tintin, the comics series by Belgian cartoonist Hergé. Color version. English language. The colorization is deployed around the original black areas. Colorists have favored respect for the power of black and white. It is in this sense that we speak of colorization.
Tintin is a captivating "travel" comic that is both timeless and a clear product of its time. It's fun and energetic, but often struggles with depictions of race.
In this installment, As Tintin tries to bring down Chicago's organized crime syndicate, he battles corrupt police officers, hardened gangsters, scheming businessmen, and stereotyped Native Americans (who, with some historical accuracy, are forcibly removed from their land after oil is found on it).
This colorized edition is beautiful, albeit more digital in aesthetic than the original colorized edition. It's a matter of taste which one is preferred.
