Daddy's Other Boy

Rate this book
I've kept a secret from my husband. All my life I've had fantasies that I'm ashamed of. Things that I want to share with my husband, but every time I try, it's like I can barely breathe. Harrison knows that I have a daddy kink, and he's doing his best to lean into it, but I can tell that there's something missing for him. Couple that with the fact that even after all this time together, I can barely take him, and I feel like a total failure who can't even please Daddy the way he needs. And if I told Harrison what I dream about because of that... I don't know if we'd survive it. I want to be the Daddy that Loren needs. My husband and I are happy, but I know there's more that Loren wants out of me. He wants me to be the dominant Daddy he's always fantasized about, and I've tried to be that, but I know I'm failing miserably at it. When a crisis at the art museum we built together means we have to focus on saving the biggest fundraiser in three states, it's almost a relief that we have to focus on something else. That is until the only way forward we can find is to roll the dice on a talented sous chef with almost no reputation to speak Kody Chavez. The boy that might wake Loren and I up, or ruin us forever. I've played with couples before and been burned every time. When Harrison and Loren accept my desperate bid to cater the Seven Crows Gala event, the pressure is enough to kill me. It could be the key to everything I've wanted for my career. So I know I shouldn't get sucked into their lives, that I shouldn't mix business with pleasure, that I need to focus on convincing some of the wealthiest people in the Pacific Northwest that I'm worth taking a chance on and ignore everything else. But Harrison has the potential to be the perfect switch Daddy I've always wanted, and Loren craves the kind of humiliation that I rarely get to deliver. The problem is, neither of these two men knows what the other really wants. If I get in the middle of that, I could ruin their marriage, my shot at a once-in-a-lifetime career move, and get my heart broken when they decide they no longer need me to be their experiment in kink. I'm supposed to be the next top chef, not Daddy's Other Boy. But I don't know if I can help myself. And I certainly don't know if I'm making the worst decision of my life or the only one that matters. Daddy's Other Boy is an MMM age-gap romance featuring a sexy switch daddy, a sadistically dominant, bratty bottom, and a submissive cuck husband who all work together to spark a five-flame non-stop ride that will require at least one change of underpants. This book is part of the Daddies for Dollars multi-author series, where every book features a swoon-worthy Daddy, a boy he adores, and a happily ever after helped along by a fundraiser event. Each book stands alone, but with six delicious Daddy pairings to choose from, why not read them all?

Simon Strange loves coffee, red wine, craft beer, and men. Especially men. Especially the men you should never, ever screw...

What is it about the forbidden that gets our blood hot? Is it just the rebellious instinct to do what we're told is wrong? Those men we grew up with, the ones that were either always looking over us or always by our side—or chasing us around—the ones that say they don't want us, and would never ever... well, just this once, if you don't tell...

So that's what you get from Simon Strange. Stories of the forbidden, of the filthy, and the naughty, and the never-ever-tell, and of course, the strange. With nearly 150 reviews for his collection of erotica and romance, and an average of four and a half stars across the board, you'll almost certainly find something you like in the pages of his work.

I don’t know man. Clearly not my kind of kink. It felt uneven at the best of times. Ending deserved an epilogue. They worry about the future and all we get is some half assed BS. I didn’t like the dynamic and it always felt one of them was left out. When ‚daddy‘ said kody gave better head than his husband and he meant that for real it felt like emotional cheating and I hated it

Also the editing. The typos I can live with. I mean I see them but I can overlook them. But you can’t read an mmm properly if the names aren’t correct at all times.

I almost dnfed a few times. But I gave myself a push and hoped it get better. It didn’t.

This was probably the worst mmm I ever read.

This book was hard to get through because I really did not like Kody. He came off as manipulative and sneaky. Harrison did not appreciate his husband at all it seemed like and Loren kinda felt irrelevant and unappreciated because of how he was treated pretty much the whole book. It just made me wonder why Loren and Harrison were even still married. I don't mind cuck relationships and kink but this was just not my cup of tea because of all the humiliation and the characters.

First of all - this is a long ass book. But it's a complex kink and relationship dynamic that requires a slower pacing and careful demonstration to properly show through careful writing. And in my opinion, Simon has done a magnificent job. I adore all these characters and the story that brought them together. There aren't many cuckolding books, so I can see this one being the standard to meet.

Clearly this is not great literature, but even this kink-a-thon deserves a good editor. Nothing detracts from a story more than mixing up the names of the characters and using the wrong last name!

Should’ve DNF. One star for the potential the plot had and one star for Loren he was only one I liked. I have read many books like this or similar to it but this one was very bland I thought that they would entice some deep emotions for the three in being together bur more than anything I just wanted Kody and Loren to get more time together really see some chemistry develop. I really loved Loren I thought he was so sweet but maybe it’s because it was counter active to the kinks that Loren had but the lack of development mean feeling like there was anything but lust for each other. I mean we learn about Kody past relationship and why it did not work out but he only talks to Harrison about it we only see a connection blossom between them and not with Loren unless I read it wrong that what I got out of it. I waited around reading this when I should have DNF it because it was not what wanted and to me Loren was left out outside of the kink.

what a surprise read this was, it came up in my feed and I decided to read it and I am so glad I did because I really enjoyed it.

We have Harrison and Loren who have been happily married for 10 years and work together at a museum organising events. They are currently organising a Gala Auction and have lost their chef at the last minute.

Kody is a young sous chef at restaurant in Seattle where Harrison and Loren are looking to find a chef to cater to their event. After they are turned down, they go to a gay bar where they met many years ago and meet Kody. They weren't looking for a threesome but there is something about Kody that makes them take a chance with him for night that will change all of them.

Kody has a thing for Daddies and also for dominating established couples. When they are together he brings out sides of them they never knew they had. They feel things they never knew they wanted.

It just so happens that before meeting Kody, Loren had confessed to Harrison who is older, that he wanted to call him Daddy sometimes and be his boy. Harrison wasn't sure how to do this and struggled to fulfil his husband's desires. With Kody in the picture this changes and he brings a new dynamic to their marriage. The only problem is that he lives in Seattle and they live a few hours away.

Meanwhile they need a chef to cater to their event and after Kody cooks for them they offer him the position but how will that work with his current job? What will they do when they find out who he works for?

They have lots to figure out and they are under a deadline but they also cant help this attraction forming between them and this new kink that Kody brings into their lives. The scenes are explicit and even though it says Cuckolding in the title, it is consensual and there is no cheating going on.

I enjoyed watching the three of them grow together and how open and trusting they are with each other. Kody brings so much to them and whilst he may seem harsh at times it's what they all want and desire and brings them happiness. It was so different from any mmm that I have read before and I really enjoyed reading it.

This book was intense because the kink it showcased was intense, and since the kink is more of a mental game than a physical one, I can understand that it's hard to portray successfully. I do think, from my limited knowledge of such things, that the book portrayed its chosen kink well. However, the book bothered me a bit, and not only because the kink it showcased isn't something I find to be a pleasant fantasy. Among the problems I had with this book is that there are several instances of the wrong name being used, and the fact that there are 3 MCs made these wrong name instances more confusing than if there had only been 2 MCs. Another issue I had with the book is that with poly relationships like this, I think it's essential to show more of the relationship outside the kink in order to make sure it feels balanced, and this book really doesn't do that at all. We only get a few brief sentences of how their relationship evolves in the last chapter, and I needed more to believe in their HEA. I didn't understand why they were exchanging love confessions after what amounted to a few sexual encounters. The only date was between the original married couple, and they only had a few conversations with their third, most of which were about either the kink they were into that devolved into almost mini scenes every time or the catering job their third was doing for the company the original couple worked for, and I'm not even going to talk about the ethics of hiring a chef because he made you a good breakfast after your first hookup.

This book starts out with an established couple, Loren and Harrison. They are recently trying to explore some kinks, but it's not going well. I think their kinks don't exactly match up, but they don't realize it. I don't think Harrison knows what his kinks are at the start.

They also run a museum together, and they are looking for a chef for their fundraising gala at the last minute, because the original chef canceled. They meet Kody in a bar and they have a one night kinky threesome. As it turns out, Kody is more experienced in kink and helps them figure out how to get kinky together in a way that works for both of them. Kody tells them he is a chef, but doesn't tell them that when he pretended to "meet them" in the bar, he actually already knew they were looking for a chef for the gala.

The next morning, he makes Loren and Harrison the world's most amazing French toast. (He bakes the bread himself, then he makes the toast.) So when they get back home, they obviously discuss offering Kody the gig as the fundraiser chef (without knowing that's what he was hoping for all along.)

They continue to hook up and explore their kinks. There's a lot of cuck kink and humiliating the cuck (Loren). When they're not having sex, the rest of the book has a lot of talk about food, planning dinners to impress the museum board, auditioning for the chef gig, etc. Lots of talk about tasting menus and cooking. Just my personal preference, but I didn't think it was that exciting.

Something close to perfection

I absolutely love it when a novel surprises me. And when that surprise is a good one? We have a memorable and joyful experience. Love it.

New to me author, beautiful writing. Stunning MCs, perfect dynamic. Unusual in some days, the Daddy and the boys. But what had me purring was the much younger and sadistic Dom. One that delights in genuinely enjoying the play. Sadistic Dom who drives the couple mad in more ways than one? A combination that kept me engaged and almost salivating until the end. The diversity in body sizes and appropriate balance in body parts - it was just so well thought through and scorching hot. I absolutely loved it. The only younger Dom/ older subs dynamic I have come across and thoroughly enjoyed before was in For Real by Alexis Hall. So finding this in poly? Was absolutely fantastic.

Writing? Great. Heat levels? Scorching and just so good. Well thought through. Engaging the mind. I love this type!!! MCs? Funny, vulnerable, sexy, believable. Plot line? Perfect! Enough said. Go read it. Highly recommend.

Spoilers ahead.

Now, I dnfed this book and I definitely didn't read enough to have that much of an opinion on it. But... this didn't seem like a balanced relationship. Like... I don't know what to even tell you.

Obviously, this is "I'm going to steal your husband" role-play basically. But it didn't feel like role-play. Harrison kept talking about how he felt guilty because Kody was much better. Which, like, I'm sure people's sex lives aren't always the best with their partners but this just felt like... cheating. And it did seem like Harrison was actually uncomfortable with this because he felt guilty towards his husband, even checking up on him mid-scene because of the feelings he himself was having towards Kody. Like... dude... maybe end this thing then?

Nope. No thx. I ducking hate cheating. It seems like this book tried to make it "normal-ish" but it was definitely not portrayed well.

This was very hot and had lots of erotic scenes in it. I loved the cuck dynamic that played into the Daddy/boy routine and the way the relationship between the three was handled. MMM bedroom scenes are notoriously difficult to handle because it often freels like one has to sit on the side lines. This was beautifully done in this book.
I felt the "details" around the base story of Kody being a chef and catering the gala was very much just a ruse for the three guys to get together. The chef part and surrounding important info was either not researched or deliberately left out. But I felt that as a chef, who would at the very least travel with his knives and some pots and pans and not rely on just showing up at Loren and Harrison's kitchen to contain all the gadgets he would need to cook his meals, it ought to have been mentioned that he lugs more stuff around, and not just a duffle bag with a change of clothing.

Hot in the kitchen!!

Well I need cold shower.
Or two.

Seriously, this has to be one of the kinkiest, hottest books I’ve ever read and the fact that there was an actual storyline in the midst of all the ‘romantic’ scenes was absolute icing on the cake!!

I loved this, Kody was the missing puzzle piece in Harrison and Loren’s life. He showed them how to be their true selves, how to love each other authentically, all while putting himself at risk of being dismissed in the end like he’d been done before.

The ending was fabulous, but it was the journey getting there that had me devouring every page like Chef Kody had cooked it!!

Perfecto 👌

I ended up DNF at ~70%. Not a bad story, but felt very uneven between the characters at times. Nothing about this relationship felt equal. BUUUT I could have moved past that, and was willing to move past that for 70% of the book.

What I could NOT move past was the fact that there are 3 characters, and the author constantly misuses two of their names. Kody and Harrison would be in the room alone and all of the sudden Loren’s name would pop up. But nope, not missing anything, just the wrong characters name. And this would happen CONSTANTLY (there are at least 7-8 instances throughout the story)

A sweet daddy kink, consensual cuckolding novel. I really enjoyed the book for the most part. I’d never heard of consensual cuckolding before and let me tell you, it’s hot. Deep humiliation with daddy kink in a threesome package, yum. The characters were complex and fun to read about, especially in their own POVs (1st person btw). My main problem with this book is the length. It’s so looooong. By the 80% point I was bored and even more sex scenes couldn’t keep my interest. The main conflict wasn’t very fleshed out either in my opinion, with its main consequences used just to enable Kody to spend more time with Harrison and Loren. Overall, nice book but not something I would reread.

Scorching hot! This is one of most erotic stories I've read in years.

The dynamic of this trouple is Flaming Hot. You fall in love with the tender love Harrison has for his husband, Loren. Kody is very skillful yet vulnerable. Kody helps them explore fledgling daddy/submission desires, and ramps up their sex life. The three men get an HEA. I feel like there is so much more to build on and a missing epilogue. I really need more of their story! Please write a book 2 or 2 and 3.

What a whirlwind

I have never and will never enjoy a humiliation or actual physical pain kink myself, but I loved how deeply the emotions in this book went. I wasn't expecting to connect so well, but dang, this did it.

One negative for me: There were several times where the wrong name was used, and I had to back up a paragraph or two in order to make sure I was understanding things right.

All in all, I really loved this one.

This book is sexy and hot AF. These three men are really perfect together. My biggest complaint is the author made mistakes on the details, like Kody’s last name at times was Sanchez and at others it was Chavez. And then it was like in the middle of a paragraph the author would forget the perspective of the character for that chapter. Little things like that took away from the story. Otherwise I thoroughly enjoyed the story. The plot had just enough angst to make it interesting and not all about sex. The guys were all well developed and likable and so sexy. It gave a great look into how people can change over a marriage and their needs change and grow.

I don’t feel comfortable giving a rating as I did not finish. I just reached my limit. The book is very well written and I have nothing against it but consensual cuckholding is just not for me. It is definitely a kink I am not comfortable reading. Didn’t know that before this. Light humiliation kink sure no problem but the depth this book went into those two links were just way in the red no-go zone for me. If it’s your think this is the book for you but I definitely couldn’t finish it.

Scorching Hot

Ok this book was SCORCHING HOT. I read it as a potential Smutty Book Club recommendation. The sex scenes were really well written. The character development was very good. The story was wonderful.

My only problem with the book is that it needed a better proofreader. There are noticeable proofreading errors; however, I thought the book was good enough that I didn’t really mind them. I’m going to send my corrections to the author and see if it helps.

Yeahhhh no. This is clearly not my thing at all. I couldn't wrap my mind around how this would be sustainable. And I didn't get the cuck at all. Apart from that, I should have known this would be an uphill battle because I don't do switch Daddies or submissive Daddies (whatever that is). Different strokes for different folks, I guess. The most interesting parts to me were the cooking/food scenes. It's why I kept reading really. 1.5 stars

Crying

This beautiful story of soulmates finding each other in a world where hurt and pain is prevalent in our community is breath taking. This story gave me ALL the feels. I was hooked from the first sentence to the very last period. Thank you so much for writing this work of art. I'm forever a huge fan.

Whoa

This was soooo good. I'm not interested in books with cheating but this kind of consensual cuckholding was one of the hottest stories I've read this year. It was written so perfectly and each character became so happy and fulfilled by the kink. It was perfection. They were so in love and it made to story line incredible.

So much fun!

I was so exciting to read this book and it didn’t disappoint. I haven’t read anything before with these specific k1nks but I really enjoyed reading them. The book wasn’t too heavy and had no drama it was just a nice easy read.
Can’t wait to read the rest of the series.

a super cute romance that explores a lot of different things while still having very natural and easy-to-love characters. i loved how it explored the meaning behind a relationship, when a third person gets added. the only gripe i had with it is that there is just so. much. sex. (which can be a lot of fun, but gets a bit exhausting when it’s 80% of the story lol)

Not my kind of kink, but so well written I had to finish it. It touched me even if it made me uncomfortable at times and I like books with established couples as MC. The description of the kink relationship, with actual check-ins, after care and calling yellow made it feel real and not just erotica (even though there were plenty of pages for that 😉).

This book was not for me. It's very spicy but I struggled to read it, the shame and degradation is not something I enjoy reading. I felt sorry for Harrison through the whole book. Some people may really be entertained by this type of book but it's not my thing 😒

This was deliciously filthy. It's about 75% sex, which is somehow better than it sounds. I liked the characters enough to be happy for their HEA. However, it is in desperate need of editing. That's what made it a 3 star read for me. Otherwise would have been a high 4 based on story alone.

I loved the way this story progressed. The uncertainty the characters felt as their relationship evolved. Even the way the young dominant bottom handled each situation and sought out advice because he wanted to do things right. Overall. Great book.
