Courage, as Supported by a Friend

Todd lost his way but is given a boost of motivation by a new friend. Kids will enjoy the colours and relate to the fear of getting lost. This book can also help encourage determination and make new friends. Some vocabulary words may be a challenge for young readers, such as "Obstacle, frond, hardship, and pelican," but with an adult's help, they could be coached through. Neat, quick lesson that can lead to a further discussion.
