This book contains multiple stories about homeless dogs and their adventures. The story shares the love of how the author see his dog's and his responsibility to them. The pictures and illustrations represent the various stories very well. I think the stories themselves are for probably the 6-9 years of age. They are more in-depth and have more meaning than a child of 4-5 could understand. This book is a niche dog lovers book and needs to find the right audience for a children's book. The stories represent real life stories and actions. The true moral of the story is to be kind to animals and show them love and respect.
For me, I like dogs but I fall short of how the author describes his furry friends. A true dog lover will love these stories.
My children and I loved learning about all the sweet dogs. The stories are funny and sweet, appealing to many ages. The illustrations are vibrant and cohesive and accompany the stories very well. It is also wonderful that the author uses some proceeds from each book to feed the dogs. That makes it even more appealing to buy a copy or two. My only suggestion is to run the book through an editor one more time. There are some simple mistakes in there that a good editor would easily pick up. Otherwise, these are excellent stories.
I loved the illustration style in the book, and the stories were simple and heartwarming. However, the English and grammar are very poor, as if translated from another language. And the whole reason to buy children’s books is to teach them to read, right?
