Gregory Wendell is a vlogger and decided to visit Colleen's Crab Shack for his vlog. Not only was the food horrendous, but there was a large family birthday party for Willard Wembly, the owner of the restaurant. The noise was loud as Willard was boisterously told stories. Becky, who happened to be Gregory's server was kind to him but was Willard's daughter and was a server. Something didn't seem right about that. Then there was Clarissa the baker and Steven King, the chef. It seemed the kitchen staff did not get along, mostly with Becky. When Becky served her father a slice of birthday cake, he took a bite and fell face first into his cake. Was it an attack or was he murdered? Gregory Wendell could not let the police figure it out and had to jump in to investigate. When the police arrived, Gregory still was trying to investigate despite the warnings they gave him. But he knows he's on to something! Will he be successful or will the police take him down for interfering? This is the second book in a fun series where the main character is a total egomaniac! I can't wait to see what he could get himself into next! I received and ARC of this book but the opinions here are strictly my own.
The Food Foodie, Gregory Wendell, once again witnesses a murder. This time the owner Colleen’s Crab Shack falls face down dead into his birthday cake. While waiting for the police to arrive Gregory does all he can to narrow down the suspects and figure out who the murderer is. The suspects are all connected to the restaurant and its owner. Could it be the wealthy owners’ daughter, resigned to working at a run-down establishment? The baker who doesn’t get along with the owner’s daughter? Or the chef, who feels like he is stuck working with the owner’s unpleasant daughter forever? Gregory also crosses hairs with the police getting himself into trouble before he can explain his theory on who the real murderer is. A great second book in the series. I received an ARC of this book and this is my voluntary review.
Food vlogger Gregory Wendell is at Colleen’s Crab Shack and the food is very unappealing to say the least. There is a birthday party going on for Willard Wembley that actually owns Colleen’s CrabShack. Willard falls face first in the Triple chocolate surprise cake dead! Can Gregory figure out who would want Willard dead? Plenty of suspects could it possibly be a family member? Also, very good description of the food.
These short cozy mystery reads are such fun reads! I love to read this author!
I received this ARC from the author for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Food vloggor and critic, Gregory Wendell, eats at Colleen's Crab Shack. He has more to be concerned with than just the bad food, as he witnesses a man fall into a chocolate cake at his birthday celebration. The man turns out to be Willard Wembly, the owner of the restaurant. Gregory tries to solve his second murder mystery by using his deduction skills. There are lots of suspects to chose from. Who did it and why? Read this engaging mystery and find out. I highly recommend it to other mystery readers. I received an ARC of this book, and the opinion expressed is strictly my own.
Gregory Wendell visiting Colleen's Crab Shack for a seafood vlog. He never expected a noisy birthday party of 63 year old Willard Wembley the owner of the place to suddenly die. Gregory takes it upon himself to find out what happened. Was it the people working in the restaurant or someone else? There is a lot of mayhem and excitement till the killer is found. A very exciting and enjoyable read I am on the ARC team and leave a honest review. I recommend this book to other readers.
The food critic Gregory Wendell once again witnesses a murder while visiting a restaurant he's reviewing. Gregory again tries to figure out who the murderer is, separately from the police investigation. The potential guilt of all the restaurant employees, and the ways they could have done it, make an intriguing fast read. A great second book in the series. I received an ARC of this book and this is my voluntary review.
An easy reading story about a food vlogger, Gregory, eating at a restaurant where the owner dies in front of friends and Gregory. Gregory proceeds to investigate the murder before the police arrive. With the pressure of time, Gregory looks at all the suspects and places himself in jeopardy when the police arrive. Fun and entertaining.
I read this book as part of an advance reader team and am providing my honest opinion.
Gregory takes a little getting used to since he's not like any sleuth I've ever read. It's kinda cool how he came up with whodunit though just by sitting and waiting for the police to arrive after a murder. His trusty phone never lets him down, lol. Maybe he should join the police force undercover! Good perp reveal scenes!
This was a short, but enjoyable read. A murder was committed, but why? Who had something against him? Gregory Wendell, a food vlogger, was at the restaurant. He wanted to solve the murder, before the police arrived.
I received a free ARC, and this is my honest opinion.
Another humorous book with Gregory Wendall as the food critic and amateur detective. The books are short and an easy read. Enjoyed it and like the first book--I think the funniest parts are when he talks to himself and the police that he tries to help. Recommend reading.
This was different and I liked it a lot . Gregory Wendell is a lot to handle he has quite the personality. We will have to see what kind of trouble he gets into next time!
