"It was amazing." - 5 out of 5 star rating.

I've read my own book now for a total of three (3) via eyeballs and text, and now concluding a 4th go around via audio format.

This is truly a labor a love well beyond the 300 hour mark of total overall effort. After listening for 18.5 hours, there is certainly a bit of editing work that needs to place. I will do my best to finish over the next ~2 weeks and close this out by the end of Q3 2023. We shall see.

One thing I learned listening to my own spoken words is that I am the farthest thing from a professional orator. I use filler words, also known as vocal disfluencies and/or hesitations such as "um," "ah," "hmm," "like," "you know," and "alright", I clear my throat sometimes, you can hear my clicking my mouse ever so softly in the background as I scroll through my notes while I speaking, so on and so forth.

And I am totally okay with that. Not only would it cost me in the neighborhood of ~$6,000 for a professional to read my book for me, I feel like it would genuinely take out the soul of the book - as opposed to me reading it, from the author, by the author.

This is not going to be a word-for-word exact speech to text replica. This is going to be more of a conversation between friends. As if I am really talking to you, yes you, directly. That is because - I am.

I want to also emphasize that this is so much more than just a book about hunting. I really pour my heart into this with the death of my father, being a Dad myself now, health-fitness-nutrition-mental health, my weight loss journey of 100lbs when I was 18 years old, my military service, even cooking, and so much more.

Geek to Outdoors - Hunting is honestly more of a autobiography than anything, that just happened to highlight hunting, with my bison hunt being the catalyst that finally pushed me over the edge to write a book.

Doing some self reflection this morning, I think it is unfair to ask anyone to purchase an audiobook for $30 or more for someone who has already bought the text-based version of the book.

This project was never about making money and more about telling my story, as well as making a dream come true - writing my own very first book. I also want to highlight that the Amazon price of the book may seem a bit pricey for some, I just want you to know that is the cost of printing. I true heartedly put the minimum amount possible for actual book cost I could via Amazon.

With that said, the way I want to do this audiobook delivery is if you show me proof of purchase of the text-based variant, I want to give you a copy of the audiobook 100% free.

After some editing and figuring out the best way to deliver, the above promise will be on the table for all. Just reach out to me via email or social media once the final version is ready to send, and we'll make it happen.

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
