The fate of the Fae world hangs in precarious balance.

One rainy night, a man drops from the skies and lands at Raven’s feet on the cold streets of Galway. Compelled by the unknown, she palms a unique gold coin from the dying man’s pocket.

This one act sets in motion a series of events that have been destined for Raven all along.

When Kellen’s best friend is thrown from his alicorn, Kellen races through the night sky only to find Alistair crumpled on a street corner, a slender woman with lavender hair and combat boots bent over his broken body. His loss shatters Kellen, and he buys the woman’s silence before returning to fight a battle the Air Fae just might now lose.

Yet the woman with the lavender hair and witchy eyes haunts his thoughts. Inextricably drawn to her, he finds himself returning to Galway to find her cornered in an alley by the Dark Fae.

Fate binds the two together, but will blood tear them apart?

4.25/5 ⭐ This was my favorite of the series. I was all in with the Alicorns! Kellen and Raven were a good couple. It did lose me with the final battle. That felt anticlimactic and far too easily won to me. But overall, enjoyed the story and the conclusion of the series.

Lovely romantasy

This book had beautiful imagery, well developed characters, and was an enjoyable end to a series of four books. It also had characters from one of the author's other series.

A great finish to the long awaited epic conclusion of her Fae series(s) and world building! I read The first two books of this conclusion by accident then went back to all the books of this world, spanning over 30 years! I loved all of them! This was the best conclusion to this journey & sagA, though I will miss this world and all the characters, who have shown up some constant throughout, this whole world and series are awesome. I highly recommend them all! I can’t wait to see what happens in Tricia next world of Romance intrigue, and adventure that she weaves, I cannot speak Hughly enough of this author, and this whole saga! Loved every second! The narrators are awesome on audible as well, I loved this last one about air fae and their “unicorns” they ride! Just All us amazing. The concept of a fated mate that shares your heart song it makes me believe that true love can exist no matter how long you wait, and love is about ups & downs that together you can conquer anything bc truly in the end isn’t that what true love is? Blessings on your journey! Of her books, and your own hearts journey, whatever it may be!

I've gotten used to the reused plots at this point. So I'll not drone on about predictability. However, I will fault heavily for an anticlimactic ending. All of the books' conflicts are resolved in the most convenient couple of sentences, but this is the finale! You've led up to this point, describing how powerful and scary the dark goddess is, and she doesn't even retaliate? She is caught off guard and just loses her head? The battle to end all battles has no battle scene at all?! We never really see Raven coming into her magic. It's woefully underwritten and a terrible disappointment. But each book was disappointing. I'm not sure what I was expecting. It could have been so much more, and it was just poorly crafted.

I love Kellen and Raven's story Raven has lived on the streets escaping foster homes her whole life and shares her gift of music to make a living, but she also helps out other children living the same life she has while Kellen is the Air Fae King with a father who is a troublemaker. When Kellen's friend Alistair is killed and falls to earth Raven finds him and that's the beginning of an adventure she never expected, now she has friends who care about her and Kellen who she's not quite sure what to do with him. As things heat up with the evil Domnu the entire Fae kingdom is at stake and Raven somehow is the key to destroying the Domnu. The Fae and the humans that help them have during this series somehow become friends I care about, and Raven's story is the most heart wrenching. Tricia O'Malley has the gift of making all this seem real, like I could head over to visit Galway and meet these people there, she makes it hard to remember that the Fae aren't real, or are they? I guess I'm just Irish enough to believe and her books certainly make it easier to believe. Great reads, most highly recommend you read her books, you'll love them.

Saying goodbye to this series is like saying goodbye to your best friend!

In her own words,Tricia O'Malley takes " you on some wild swings of emotion from joy to tears and back again, but that's what life is all about..." In Lyric of Wind, book 4 of the Wildsong Series, Tricia O'Malley definitely took me on a wild emotional roller coaster ride and what a ride it was. Like she says, one minute I was laughing, the next I was so touched by a scene, I was in tears. I never wanted the book to end!

I fell in love with Kellen and Raven
and was captivated by the battle to defeat the Dark Fae once and for all. I was so intrigued by the mystery surrounding Raven's heritage. But what captured my heart was the beauty and symmetry of Tricia's words that brought the world of the Air Fae alive. Tricia O'Malley has made me believe in the magic of soul-mates and heart-songs and happily ever after.

I hate to say goodbye to this series! The world and characters have become my best book friends. But knowing Tricia O'Malley has more magical worlds waiting for us to explore!

This series was so incredibly repetitive. Pretty much every single fmc followed the exact cookie cutter personality and history. Had secret powers and a fae parentage they didn't know about. The same reluctance to love their fated mate. The same battles that somehow ended in one single page. By the time I hit book 4 of this series, I could already tell you pretty much page by page what was going to happen.

This story was filled with way too many conveniently added plot points that were never previously mentioned or hinted at in the entire series. All of a sudden, two characters just “found” a spell that could take down the big bad. We never searched for it. Never knew one existed. It just all of a sudden popped up. Same thing with big bad suddenly having a daughter that could very easily (in half a page) destroy her.

This story didn't flow. It felt like I was being told the story after the fact by someone whose memory sucks and they keep forgetting things only to be like “oh and this happened too!”

I don't have anything positive to add. So. I'm just going to leave it there.

Lyric of Wind is the exciting conclusion to Tricia O’Malley’s magickal Windsong series in which the good Fae fight the bad Fae and perhaps find their fated mates. Kellen inherited the position of ruler of the air Fae upon the death of his mother. He mostly feels up to the task except when he has to deal with the criticisms and proddings of his father. Songstress Raven has spent her entire life living in an orphanage or on the streets. In her mind she is a human who gets the surprise of a lifetime when her suddenly sees a man riding what looks a lot like a unicorn fall from the sky and die. Little does she know that that coin thing she removes from the man’s clothing will change her life. Ms. O’Malley has created a wonderful magickal critter within the pages of this book and readers absolutely will fall in love with Riker. I also loved how strong, astute and independent Raven’s character is. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book. Most highly recommend.

Magic and fae what a combination. Tricia OMalley has a way to bring magic to life. In this book she ties up a series about good vs evil. Fated mates are in the forefront of love. Raven lived as a human growing up on the streets. She did not have close friends just on the fringes friends who would help when necessary them slide back into the shadows. Life on the streets are cruel and dangerous. Her fated mate happens to be the leader of the airfae You can read this book as a stand alone but it is better if you know the history behind all the characters. I love Bionca and Shamus , they are such a sweet funny couple. Him fae and her human. Bringing Fiona in the end is full circle. I would give this book 10 stars if allowed. It is one you can put down then pick up later to read again and again.

Loved this story about Keller, a Fae prince and Raven, a songstress who almost lives on the streets and busks for a living. When Alistair, Prince Keller's best friend falls from his Alicorn while the two of them are flying, Keller can't reach him before he hits the pavement right in front of Raven. She leans over Alistair to see if she can help but when she sees he's dead she takes a gold coin from his hand. Keller lands and yells at her to get away from him and so begins the story of Keller and Raven.

From the streets of Ireland to the home of the Air Fae to the underworld home of the Goddess Domnu, this story takes you on a grand adventure as well as telling of the growing love between a human and a Fae.

Bloodsong

Yet again I am not disappointed!!! This book was phenomenal. I didn’t want to put it down. Raven grew up on the streets, never knowing who her parents were. Foster homes weren’t for her. She would spend her time in the Library reading and staying warm. She had a beautiful voice and would use it to earn money so that she could eat. One night while she was singing to earn money a man fell from the sky but I seemed that no one else saw him but Raven. She went to the young man to see if she could help but it was too late. Out of nowhere another young man appeared and yelled at Raven to get away from him. Raven was not happy with this and got in the young man’s face. …”I was trying to help him…”

So sad to see it end!!!!

Whilst this was a super instalment, I can't say I'm not absolutely devastated at these books coming to an end as there was some brilliant characters - Bianca & Seamus keeping everybody together throughout!
Oh man the Alicorns sounded just fabulous, if I'm lucky a few will be in my dreams tonight!!!!! And awwww cute little podgy baby Alicorn! 😍😍😍😍

Hopefully Ms O'Malley will get visited by some of these characters and feel the urge to bring them back for new adventures 😉😉... I for one would vote for that lol.

Off for a sob now anyway....

I read this book as part of my Kindle Unlimited subscription (free book but I have to pay for the subscription)

Fae of the Air

OMG the entire series was exceptional but Air Fae was the best even if it was the last. Raven was a street girl/woman. One day the Fae appeared, she only knew of them thru reading, and one was killed and turned into purple goo. Raven quickly took a coin she found on him before another appeared and tried to take her away. She didn’t go and killed other Fae that turned to silver good which she would later learn about. Raven went to the Air Fae realm and made the first friends she ever had. So much for her to learn and learn about who she really was—that is a great story. The ending of this series is great and I am sure everyone will enjoy it as much as I did but be aware you need time to read the entire book as you won’t want to put it down!!

Just WOW

This whole series was fantastic! Lyric of Wind was the best finale ever. I just loved Raven and Kellen's path to being fated mates. Raven having no idea who she is or where she comes from, not trusting anyone after living on the streets for so long. Kellen losing his mother becoming king, losing his best friend, and having his father in his ear spreading lies. They come together along with King Callum, Lily, Bianca, Seamus, and the rest from the previous books for an ending you will not expect. This series is a must read. Tricia O'Malley knows how to tell a story, she takes you to Ireland and the Fae Lands with her words.

Wowza

I have read every book written by Ms O'Malley as soon as they were available and loved them all. This one was over the top. The story of Raven and Kellen gripped my heart in its hands from the beginning and gave me every emotion possible. I was transported from Galway to a magical land on the back of an Alicorn and lived a wondrous adventure, all in the pages of a too-short book. I never wanted to come back! Ms O'Malley, your writing has grown and developed by leaps and bounds, and this may be the best one yet! I can't wait for "our" next adventure. Sparkle On!

Wonderful series

Raven has been alone, well, always. She's gone from foster homes to the streets. Living by her wits and her guitar. A necklace and a guitar are her only possessions.
Kellen is the leader of the Air Fae. In his beautiful castle in the sky he lives in opulence. He's devastated by the deaths of his mother and his best friend.
These two lonely souls must take on the battle of their lives to find the way to love.

I was so happy to finally read the end of this epic adventure. Well written and a great way to wrap up this series.

Absolutely engaging!

This last book in the Wildsong Series is my very favorite and here's why... First, Raven's character touches my heart. She's like a few kids I have known.... Walls up, tough but vulnerable. Add to that Kellen with his Wind Fae persona and good heart and the fated love match... sigh. Finally, Alicorns!!! Riding on the wind is a horse lover's dream. Tricia O'Malley brings the reader to the end of the Domnua story with a song! She touched my heart with this one!!

Magickal hardly covers it

Sighhhhh. Why did it have to end? I totally disregarded all the things that should have been done this weekend (except laundry, which never ends. Ever). I began this book Saturday at lunch and completed it Sunday around lunchtime. Characters from earlier in the series appeared, the setting was described beautifully, the action was awesome, and …I just didn’t want it to end. Even as a 54 year old I still wish for something like this to happen. Loved this book as I love all of O’Malley’s books!

There are better series out there, but this 4th and final book was the best of the 4. Probably should downgrade all ratings of all 4 books because they just don’t have the same punch and effect and edge of true 4 star books, so gave the others and this one 3 stars. Writing was better in this one. And my favorite side character, Bianca, was included. Raven and Kellen, ruler of the Air Fae, are the MCs. We get to the battle of the dark goddess Domnu and all fae so our past main characters make an appearance.

Lyric of Wind , an unstoppable read

This was book 4 of the series and was just as magical as the rest. The author has a way of placing you right in the middle of the scene allowing you to not only visualize but feel what the characters are feeling and seeing. This book shows betrayal, good vs evil and how a love defies all. The betrayal is one many people experience in life but is never easy. But the love that grows for someone else in the wake is amazing. Must read book, the author never disappoints.

What an amazing world Tricia O'Malley has created!

Each book in this series was great but this finale was stupendous! As someone who reads constantly that is not said lightly. I think Raven is my favourite character in this series with Bianca always a favorite as she weaves in and out of all the series with the fae. Strong women and the strong men that they deserve are a hallmark of this author! Well done Tricia!

Power and Love reveal the true self.

Tricia has the skill and patience for crafting well developed stories, complex plots, and characters capable of a range of emotions cultivated by their lifes’ experiences. Not fluffy but intense weavings bloom. into the realm of good vs evil, love vs indifference. Raven comes from the gutter of Galway; a no one from nowhere with power she can’t imagine. Read about her courageous journey to find and create herself.

What an ending! Loved this series, but then I love absolutely everything this beautiful woman writes. She is such a talented writer - I've always wanted to know what her dreams are like, as imaginative as her books I'll bet! I'm sad to see the end of the Wildsong Series but look forward to any and all new books from Tricia. Thank you for keeping my imagination child-like and for never being bored while reading your tales.

Most Awesome Finish to an Awesome Series

Truly stellar, irony and reality melding into the best possible ending. Without giving anything away, HEA does exist, even in death, and a phenomenal series finally has closure. Tricia O'Malley has pulled it off once more, bringing alive a unique cast of characters, as well as some prior favorites, in a bid to finally finally succeed in saving the world as we know it. Excellent work! Bravo!! Can't wait for the next series.

The magic I dreamed of as a child

Tricia has brought my childhood dreams come to life. "Lyric of the Wind" brings an end to the Wildsong Series. The strength of Ravens love and courage while learning Fae are real and fighting for good ... and finding love and friendship along the way. Tricia has a way of drawing you in and "seeing" the story unfold. That in itself is true magic.....

Always a great read!

If you enjoy magik, you will love Tricia O'Malley books.
This is the fourth in this series and I have read them all, Water, Fire, Earth and now Air.
The love that slowly develops between a magikcal Air element leader and a Street girl that never knew love or who she is; The action scenes are exciting and, of course, magik make for a great read. Throw in a flying California and your world takes off.

Epic !

As with all Tricia 's books the characters are instantly engaging, drawing you into the story until the very end. This ending to the Wild song series lives up to the first three books in the series with Raven and Kellan winning hearts. With daring and sacrifice they will win your heart until the end. Settle in and don't be surprised if you read this story from cover to cover.

The end of a great series

The final book in the Wildsong series was as good as the other 3 books. I enjoyed all the characters and each had an interesting part to play. I did notice that the Danula liaison was missing in this book, which seemed odd as all the other elemental fae had one. I’m sad that the ending of Domnua was over so quickly and without much of a fight. It was a good story overall and I look forward to reading more from Ms. O’Malley.
