This 30 page book made me laugh so much. Our pirate, Captain Slick steals from Ripley Montrachet’s boat which just made me laugh harder because Slick is screaming “Mr Montrachet” out during sex. What a wordy name to scream out 🤣 And the term “rachet” 🤣 Out of all the names one could choose. Oh and our boy Ripley is a shy sweet virgin unsure of why he’s so turned on by a dirty talking pirate but willing to do anything Captain Slick wants him to. 😂

Who knew pirate smut was a thing? And so entertaining at that? 🏴‍☠️

I have been thinking about reading this for the past two weeks. Erotica isn't my absolute favorite thing in the world and I am not much of a sexual driver person.

But what sold me was the MM Pirate... come on, it's game over. I felt like reading something short so this did exactly that. It was fine, it was cute and it was different for me since I barely read Pirate romances. The author wrote this well for it being only smut scenes...

I mean, I read this one in like 30 minutes with a couple of interruptions. It was quick and erotic and yea, I cackled at some of the cheesiness but it didn’t remotely put a dent in my day or reading schedule.

Slick the pirate captain and Ripley the young, innocent v-gentleman. The dirty talk was superb even if the whole thing was cringe.

Quick. Smutty. Minor errors. I call that a solid okay read in my opinion.

A few days ago, there was a sale on a bunch of books all across Amazon (this one was/is a Kindle Unlimited, but still...), and I discovered Juniper Jourdan's "Slick," a short, short story about a pirate and a merchling (Six of Crows reference there).

You know how on Ao3, there's that PornWithoutPlot tag? Well, this book was that. There was zero plot. It was just 100% spice and steam. Two separate occasions where they come together (pun not intended) and slowly fall for each other.

And, I'm not exactly mad about it. It was a little...awkward at times; not them, just...the scene in general. The not-sex parts. Still, a very good read. Only about 30 pages in total.

This was surprisingly sweet for a short erotica. A pirate reaffirming consent with his captive about six times? Hell yes. I hope Ripley made sure to live his new life to the fullest. Would definintely recommend.

I mean it's two sex scenes so it's not the most intense plot. But with that said I still in just these two scenes really liked these characters and their relationship. I really wish this was an entire series because I would read hundreds of pages about these two growing to love each other. I could see it being incredible spicy but also very sweet and funny if we saw them deal with the day to day together.

The very sexual encounters of captive Captain Montrachet (a virgin) and Pirate Captain Slick (rather well endowed) are hot and intense in this short tale. Shy Montrachet hits something in the pirates heart and he feels (and fills) the young mans shy eagerness. It's over too soon, you'll wish for more.

Don't get me wrong, I picked this up for the spice that I was promised and it definitely delivered in that aspect. But from the summary, I think I was expecting a but more of a storyline or at least more information about our lovers. I really wish I could dive in a bit more into each character instead of straight into the smut. Overall good read if you just want something spicy.
