Really enjoyed first 80ish pages. Creepy atmosphere. Then for some reason the writing because almost as if it is for kids. The man wore a black jacket like his soul. He waved but she ignored him, you have 2 min. Such cliche weak writing for kids. Completely changed and killed the mood. Did not finish with 30 pages left, not worth it.

The story was a good one I was especially surprised by who killed one over and who killed the baby and the affair that was going on between Lenoir and Marcus spoil alert also I'm glad that Kirsten finally got pregnant and had a baby happily ever after not

Fast moving, exciting
I don't normally like books about paranormal stuff but your books are very interesting especially the circumstances that allow people to get into the circumstances that get them into trouble. I love the way you get them out of each circumstance.

Another Michael Merlyn book. I've enjoyed each one that I've read so far. I haven't read them in the order they were published, but that hasn't been a problem. Valentean provides enough of Merlyn's back story to keep you from feeling like you're missing something.

The kind of book I like and get addicted to.

Good story with a little of everything
You get mystery, love, ghosts, drama and horror all wrapped in good story. I would recommend and watch for a sequel

The BEST one I've read from this series so far! Definitely did not expect the twist at the end!!
