Surprises

Are you willing to put yourself in our hands?

Smart, successful, handsome, and thoroughly sick of the club scene, Don ventures into a popular upscale dating service. Aroused and intrigued by the boldfaced sexual queries on the Romeo Club’s application, he finds himself embellishing one answer after the next. Don thinks he’s taking control of his fate, but when he’s done, he ends up turning over a lot more than just his questionnaire to the dominant Adonis who runs the service.

In a private back room, beneath the snick of handcuffs, the slide of silk over his eyes, and not one hot mouth but two upon his skin, Don learns just how much more than matchmaking the Romeo Club has to offer a guy who doesn’t mind a few surprises.

Brita Addams

Prompted by her love of history, writer of historical fiction and historical romance, Brita Addams has tromped around old cemeteries and dusty town hall basements for over twenty years as a non-professional genealogist. She’s uncovered some juicy stories about her ancestors that may or may not have already found their way into her writing. For several years, she lectured on genealogy aboard cruise ships, as part of their Enrichment Programs.

Having grown up in blustery Upstate New York, Brita has lived in the sultry South for many years. She has a loving, supportive family, including her native New Orleanian husband, who makes killer gumbo and potato salad. After years in the Big Easy, she and her husband moved to the Frog Capital of the World (yes, that’s a thing,) to be closer to two of their three grown children.

For more information about Brita Addams, please visit her website: www.britaaddams.net or follow her on Facebook, Pinterest, or Goodreads.

A bit of trivia—Brita pronounces her name, Bree-ta, and not Brit-a, like the famous water filter.

This book certainly keeps what its blurb promises: surrender of control leading to some interesting experiences. Don sets out to gain control over his (dating) life, and ends up learning that control isn’t everything. With a sense of humor that made me smile and a level of curiosity that would have killed a cat (but, luckily, not Don) he explores what it means to be taken care of, and how much a few surprises can enhance his libido.

Don may not know this about himself, but he is more than open to a surprise or two. He is downright happy to experiment, not to say a real risk taker. After all, he goes into the Romeo Club thinking it is a dating service. The kind of things the questionnaire asked should have been his first hint there is far more going on behind the façade of this ‘Club’ than meets the eye. The personal interview he is subjected to next was definitely a further hint – not that he took that seriously either. Half way into the story it becomes pretty clear that he will do anything for pleasure – and he is not particularly choosey as to how he gets it. Which makes for a vey hot read indeed!

If you like reading stories about men giving up control to receive pleasure, if a slightly humorous style is you thing, and if you like more than two partners pleasuring each other without much emotional entanglement at all, you might like this story. I not only liked the premise, it also made me smile.

Deliciously wicked!

Don is looking for a dating service. We meet him while he's filling out a questionnaire about his sexual wants and kinks. He thinks there's nothing wrong in a little embellishment and at the end he probably gets more than he was aiming for.

The narrator's first person point-of-view is very entertaining. Donnie doesn't take himself too seriously and he has a curious (and adventurous) nature. Even if the book is basically one long sex scene, there's much more than the simple mechanics, since Don(nie) makes his needs known or they're coaxed out of him, building a connection with the very delectable Blake.

The fact that Don(nie) is blindfolded makes everything much hotter and almost mysterious. Looking forward to #2.

This short chapter was like a prologue for a new book. It was interesting but other then a sex scene there was nothing here. The characters were bland and to undeveloped. I wouldn't mind reading more.

This porridge was exactly 73 degrees :D

Those of you who don't get the reference, know that I am extremely picky about BDSM ... well actually I'm extremely picky about everything but EXTRA picky about BDSM. I don't like too much violence. I don't like weepy, powerless "submissives". I don't like big burly bears. The fantasy has to be just so and when it is, it has my undivided attention.

I loved this. Sure, there were a couple minor annoyances (hard time with a Dom who uses the words "dude" and "the man" but whose personality otherwise is very corporate boss) but nothing directly connected to the quality of the book. All and all it was a smutty, sinful and all around satisfying read :D I shall be downloading #2 right away!

Short Read, Humor, BDSM, M/M/M

Don- The suit. Looking for something a little different in his life these days. He’s on a sexual quest. We find him taking a visit to the Romeo Club, looking for that something different. Hmm, let’s see how far we can get with the application process. He has no idea what he’s signing up for. Hehe. *Mutley laugh*

"How often do you like to fuck?” – Romeo Club #1: Surprises

Well now, that’s a damn good opening to a story. I like this already. The questions on the application set the wheels in motion for Don. He gives answers to what he thinks they want to hear.

“I had embellished on several—okay, most—of the questions, but it only seemed right, given the nature of my visit to Romeo’s. Hell, I’d tried to cover all the bases. No use quibbling over a cock ring here or an anal probe there.” –Romeo Club #1: Surprises

He has a session with Blake. Ooo, nice. Blake gives him what he needs. Who knew? Don sure didn’t. Little did Don know that his own vulnerability would turn him on.

Blake- is something a little different. Got a thing for subs. Yum…he flares all the senses in Don. Pushes all his subby buttons. Don only just realizes that he needs this kind of attention in his life.

He gets the session of a lifetime with Blake and Aaron and lives to tell about it. Don is blindfolded, giving his senses an extra sharpness. Oh gawd, it’s so good.

“Blake found my prostate with an expertise I wished I could bottle and sell—I’d be a fucking millionaire in a week.” –Romeo Club #1: Surprises

Aaron- goes for guys in suits with dark blue ties. Give the best blowjobs.

Being blindfolded, getting’ spanked, a blow job and being fucked at the same time? Priceless.

“You were born for the paddle, my friend.” –Romeo Club #1: Surprises

Jeezus Chryst and Henry, can you give me more? This was a fabulous read. Fuckin’ hilarious how Don tells this story. Loved it! I do hope that the author will write more m/m for the Romeo Club. *walks away a very happy camper*

This is my first Brita Addams story. Quite frankly, I’m sitting here wondering… why. If this story is indicative of a Brita Addams book, I have been missing out.

This hot little number grabbed me page one and I couldn’t put it down until I finished which was a bit of a problem since I made the mistake of starting it at work when I thought I had a spare moment. I ended up needing to lock the door because it definitely fell under the category of “don’t bother me I’m reading” and “too hot for the office.”

Well written, great characters, hot, sexy and fun all at the same time...this was quite the little package. It makes no hesitation in getting right down to it as it starts with Donnie filling out his application to Romeo’s dating service, their questions as well as his answers had me chuckling and I decided I liked him immediately. It just amped up the hot from there as he is introduced to Blake (rawr) who screens his application, and gives him his introduction to Romeo’s. I don’t want to give too much away, so I’ll just say, oh my *fans self* quite the process they have there.

It was short, which I don’t usually care for, but that was alright, I think it was a perfect introduction to the Romeo Club and when I was done I was both completely satisfied and looking forward to the next installment of the goings on at the Romeo Club.

Bottom line: I loved it. Highly recommended.

I do not judge short stories on the rush of their relationships, because they are just that - short stories. So, yes the relationships always could have been drawn out more, yea it seems like they fall in love to fast and of course the story could have been made longer... but it is a short story. So with that said.... here is my review..

I received this book for my honest thoughts and words... So here goes!

This story comes in under 30 pages. I have to say that Ms. Brita Addams is a new to me author but I will be seeking out her other books - especially Romeo Club #2 Rubbed The Right Way. Oh, I will be begging like the Hussy I am for this book to come out.

Now, let me tell you... If m/m isn't your cup of tea or if this takes you out of your comfort zone, please just stop by to say hi and I'll see you later.... But if this falls into your kinda thing, keep reading!

I won't give to much away because this is a short story but Ms. Addams did a great job at bringing excitement to the table with such a quickie story.

I want you think of all the applications you have filled out in your life.... Have you ever thought of telling a lie or stretching the truth? Now think of doing that on a dating service application? What do you think your outcome would be if you were not honest.... If you ,let your imagination run wild and you just put the first thing your naughty mind thought of.... Well, that happened to Donnie and was he in for the time of his life for opening pandora's box....

The Romeo Club is sure give him quite a few Surprises!

It’s true, this is only a short story, barely a sex scene; it’s true it’s mostly about the sex and that is usually not my cup of tea; it’s true, it’s not a romance, even if I can see an interesting future for Don. But despite all the above trues, I found myself truly enjoying this fast reading, and yes, it was also arousing, a clean cut sex scene with the right amount of kink but also with some “sweet” touches (see the kisses and the cuddling).

Don is not searching for Mr Right while filling the form of Romeo Club, a dating services. So he decides to answer to the question in a way that will assure him to get laid, without limit on what he is willing to do. What probably he is not expecting is that his form will be greatly appreciated, so much that he will be taken for a “test drive” right there, right now. Blake, the club’s owner, will gift Don with the best sex of his life and after that he will open to the guy the door to an almost “paradise”, only that in this paradise, angels have sex!

As I said, this is not a romance, and Don will not find Mr Right, but I think there are good chance for him to get lucky again and maybe, one day or the other, he will stumble upon that elusive Mr Right. But while he is waiting, why not enjoying what Romeo Club’s special chapter is offering?

Good short story, fast and quick, but with a well written sex (that is not easy thing to do).

Interesting read. Amazing to be able to give 4 stars to something so short.

The thing is, the story is very good. It basically evolves around a guy, Don, filling out an application for a dating agency, for a fuck. The receptionist, Aaron, (aka helluva blowjob) says someone would like to talk to him, as he has interesting tastes. Why not? Don pretty much says he's up for anything, hell I'd like to 'interview' him. Blake does indeed 'interview' Don, and from there it is one long sex scene. A very well written sex scene, where pretty much everything you need to know about Don is divulged in an astute, sexy way. You know his name, his clothing, his job, what he likes, what's working for him, what Blake looks like, Blake's clothing and so forth. Brita Addams managed to get some rapport with characters, particularly Don, whilst writing some darn engaging sex in a short amount of words. It's not sleazy, it's kind of kinky and it's fun.

This short story is very satisfying, provided you don't have to have romance, or love. It's an erotic quest really, and I liked it.

This was hot. I gave it a 3 star because I enjoyed it and wished it were much longer. Well, it's probably a 3.5 star but I always truncate, not round.

Donnie is delicious and I can't wait to read more about him. Aaron sounds like a twink though. I'm not sure if that is insulting, but it isn't meant to be. What I really want to read is what goes on behind the doors now that Donnie's part of the club. Woohoo. I'd like to be "interviewed" by Blake too. Darn I'm not the right sex. Woe is me.

For those confused about my categorization, neglecting BDSM, it's because this was sweet and kinky. In addition, an exclusive club with men wearing Italian made suits? GLITTERKINK! These are both good things. I like it. I recommend this cock tease of a short story to other m/m lovers who like a kinky scene with some hot m/m action going.

This story is incredibly shallow. There is no character build up. The background is glossed over. Although there is BDSM involved, it is really only implied whilst the single sex scene is described in detail. I have purchased the sequel but I'm not all that motivated to read it. This took me 10 minutes (if that) to read & I couldn't even remember what the character's names were. Forgettable & there is much better out there.

Very enjoyable short.

Surprises didn't give this reader a hint at the direction of the series. It could be the continuation of Donnie and Blake's relationship or maybe each installment introduces us to a new MC and their experience with the club?

Either way, the author captured my attention; I'm game for more.

Don signs up for what he thinks is a dating service. It turns out that his answers give him a special try-out by the owner of the service. This is pure BDSM sex. It works well. Quick, interesting read. I look forward to more of the series.

Hot and steamy quick read about a guy who goes to interview for a dating site and ends up getting way more than he bargained for. Nice introduction to the Romeo Club. Could have been longer, but the price is worth it. Looking forward to the next installment.

I loved this! It comes out of the gate running and gets right to the point. Don heads into what he thinks is a dating service where the men running the establishment discover that Don is just the kind of guy they would like to initiate into their club. Don has no idea what is he looking for and is really open to just about anything and when he meets Blake he discovers there is a very ready sub just below the surface that is giddy to come out.

Don is great! He is super passive without being a pushover. A very go with the flow guy who just wants to get laid. Blake knows what buttons to push with Don and Don gives himself over easily and wants more and more. Says as much too. It is fun to read about a guy discovering his inner sub. I would love to read more about Don but I have a feeling that the series has new character's introduced as it goes along. I hope the author comes back to Don at some point or he at least makes an appearance because I would love love love to hear more about his journey. Who knows, maybe he will even meet that special someone. Fingers crossed!

This is an extremely well-written and well-paced short story, that just wasn't for me. It's a glitter-kink fantasy scene between a man and two strangers, and it does a great job of it.

For my fiction I'm looking for something to think about, hot sex, or romance. This wasn't thought-provoking, the sex was just same-old, same-old, and of course, as the author, says, not romantic in the least.

I'm not rating the book, because it's not the author's fault I didn't like it. I bought the story without reading the blurb (doh!) because someone else liked it.

If you find BDSM-lite sex with two men you just met hot, then you'll enjoy this.

I'm not usually into bdsm but this one was a pretty good short read. The MC's were really into it and there wasn't anything really hardcore happening. It was nice and hot.
