She’s never forgotten the way the sun lit up Copper Mountain…
Seeking a new beginning after the death of her parents, Annie Miller impulsively moves to Marietta and sets up a bed-and-breakfast in picturesque Bramble Lane. With her brother and sister by her side, it’s a place to heal and forget the fiancé who left her just weeks before their wedding day. Now all she really needs are some customers…
Marketing whiz Craig O’Sullivan is wedded to his work in Portland, but with the cousin he sees as a brother getting married soon, he heads to Marietta for a two-week vacation. As long as his beloved Aunt Janice doesn’t decide to play matchmaker on his behalf he’ll be fine. But when Janice sets him up to help sweet Annie Miller market her B&B, he doesn’t mind at all. There’s something about Annie that makes him want to sell her on the idea of happily ever after. With him.
Craig’s life is in Portland, Annie is bound to Marietta. Can they trust themselves and each other enough to open their hearts and let love in?
I have been reading love stories for as long as I can remember and when I ‘met’ the classic authors like Jane Austen, Elizabeth Gaskell, Henry James The Brontë sisters, etc. during my studies, I was hooked for life. I married my college boyfriend and soul mate and we are fortunate to live in the picturesque little seaside village of Betty's Bay, South Africa with the ocean a block away and a beautiful mountain right behind us. And although life so far has not always been an easy ride, it has always been an exiting and interesting one! I like the heroines in my stories to be beautiful, feisty, independent and headstrong. And the heroes must be strong but possess a generous amount of sensitivity. They are of course, also gorgeous! My stories typically incorporate the family background of the characters to better understand where they come from and who they are when we meet them in the story.
Oh this book was beautiful, Craig and Annie were lovely characters and their story more so, being he from the city who is only there for his cousin's wedding he helps her with her socials media and pages of her little B&B to make it a success as she put her whole heart there, Annie since she met him has had this crush on him but it's not until they spend time together that it all starts and they have this friends with benefits deal, and as we all know this gives way to something bigger and it was everything I could have hoped for.
A story that reads super easy and surrounded by great secondary characters that you will love.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

One small town. One broken heart. One impulsive decision. One new start. One Marketing whiz. A meddling Aunt. A wedding. A two-week vacation. A bed-and-breakfast. A Match Made in Montana is the second book in The Millers of Marietta series. This series is about the Miller siblings so make sure you read the books in order as these wonderful characters cross over. This second chance romance story fun and easy to read. This heart-warming tale is well written and is filled with mixed emotions, taking chances, laughter, family, tears, love, lots of chemistry with spicy undertones. With just the right pace, some tension, and realistic characters that you can’t help but like it is easy to become invested. Annie is from the big city, but the impulsive decision is the best she has made. A small town with family is just the place to heal. Craig’s is determined to help but he sees so much more than a marketing campaign. The only problem is their lives are worlds apart. With past hurt between them will they open themselves up and take a chance to the possibility of love. This delightful story leaves you eager to read more of the series.
This story was very enjoyable and gave me everything that I love about small town romance. Annie and Craig are perfect together in this story.......romance, past hurts, meddling family members, small town gossip, banter and both Annie and Craig guard their hearts....but when the sizzle between them happens...their walls start to break down.
Craig is back in the town of Copper Mountain.....visiting his Aunt Janice and also with his cousin's upcoming wedding with a much needed break from his work. Aunt Janice has this idea that while Craig is in town, he can help out Annie with her B & B marketing to help her get more customer reservations....what Craig did not expect was to find love in the process and want to be with Annie.
Annie is a independent owner of her own B & B that she loves, along with her siblings and trying to erase a past ex in her life that left her sour in commitment and marriage. She is content but wants more with her B & B and in order to do that.....help comes along the way in Craig to give her marketing ideas and tips...what Annie did not anticipate was falling for Craig.
Knowing Annie and Craig with their ideas of non-committal temporary relationship while Craig is in town.....will Annie and Craig be able to get past their guarded feelings and past hurts to have a change of heart?
This is a great story and I really enjoyed it so much. Looking forward to checking out more books by this author!
Annie was meant to marry Ted but thank goodness she dodged that bullet !
She moves to Montana from Sacramento to live her dream of cooking for people in her B&B and she looses herself in her romance novels … what is not to love about this darling girl !?
Craig O’ Sullivan is in town for the wedding and when he pops by the B&B I really did LOL I’ve a picture mind so I played out that scene a few times and each time I laughed louder 🤣
Our Annie is a little challenged technologically but she catches on quickly and Craig has helped her get her B&B updated , he’s a bit of a marketing guru and soon enough he’s helping the community 🥰
Annie and Craig must be one of the cutest couples of my reading year ! Despite the fact that both are scared of marriage they’re heading to their HEA very quickly 😉😘 I love how Annie talks to herself and gets teased , there she reminds me of myself 🤣
There was a hint of sadness as well with the loss of Annie’s folks and the strained relationship between Craig and his parents but there was redemption which was a gentle reminder of how important it is to communicate and not just assume ❣️
Annie has always dreamed of running a Bed and Breakfast. She has fixed the place up but is not getting the customers she needs. When her friend, and future family by marriage, offers Craig to help with her marketing, Annie is quick to turn down his services. She can't afford him and her hormones won't let her concentrate when he's around. Craig is attracted to Annie...but he is in town to help out her business since he is not a relationship kind of guy. But, when these two can't keep their hands off of each other, he comes up with a plan that they could both benefit from. What he doesn't expect is are feelings, and the town's gossip mill, to get involved. These two characters were enjoyable. It was comical the way Annie would get get flustered and Craig would know just what to say. Both of their pasts have shaped their feelings on future relationships and have closed them off to that happily-ever-after ending. However, the heart wants what it wants and it's a battle that these two are trying hard to fight (even if it means getting in their own way time and time again). I also enjoyed the secondary characters. Annie's brother sure needs his own book and happy ending!
Fabulous second book in Elsa’s The Millers of Marietta series. Annie and Craig are both fabulous characters determined not to fall for each other but fate has other ideas. While Craig is in town for his cousin’s wedding he also helps B&B owner Annie with advertising to entice more customers in. I loved this story, Annie and Craig are perfect for each other and I loved their story. I’m looking forward to reading the next book in the series! Thanks to Tule Publishing for sharing this one early with me.
Annie has always dreamed of running a b&b, but isn’t getting enough business. Craig is a Savy marketing expert. Craig offers his services to get Annie some business going, but she couldn’t afford it nor focus with having Craig around. They meet when paths crossed during a wedding and Craig’s aunt is a matchmaker. This was such a cute book, a little spice. But so much romance! Can’t wait for the next one!!
Annie Miller is hoping her bed and breakfast in Bramble Lane, Montana picks up and she knows one person who could help but he is much to of a big wig, not to mention handsome to ask. When Craig arrives two weeks early for his brother's wedding he finds Annie just as alluring as she was the last time. Getting her to accept his help is harder then he thought, but he has ideas and the two agree to explore the chemistry between them the only condition though is not to expect more then a fun few weeks. What happens though when feelings get involved for them when they both don't believe in happily ever afters?
Great chemistry, both Annie and Craig want more but are so closed off on not getting hurt that they are unwilling to risk it. It takes those wonderful characters surrounding them to open their eyes to what could be. I thought this was really entertaining and will go back to read the first book.
Annie moves to Marietta with her siblings for a fresh start after their parents tragic deaths and her fiancé calling off the wedding via text just weeks before. Annie gets her dream of own a B&B and being able to cook like she loves, but she’s not getting all the guests she’s imagined. Craig takes leave from his marketing job to come to Marietta early at the insistence of his aunt Janice for his cousins wedding. Janice pushes Craig to meet Annie and help with her lack luster marketing of the B&B. Both Craig and Annie have sworn off marriage, her from the failed engagement and him from being left at ten by his parents joining Doctors Without Borders. Yet, the sparks fly at the very first sight. Very steamy read.
I enjoyed this story. I didn’t read the first book in the series and thought it still worked well as a standalone. I do wish there would have been more to Ted’s appearance, especially his run in with Craig. I want to know more about that drama.
Side note: I received a copy of this book in exchange for a honest review
Annie is a chef working on her dreams. She moved to Marietta and bought the perfect bed and breakfast place, now the problem is, there are no guests in sight. This may have something to do due to the lack of proper marketing, and so she happens to know the perfect man for the job.
Craig is a hotshot from Portland with a great marketing job, he does not require love from a woman, since he can get plenty of attraction from his multiple dates, oh but for how long could that work out? He will find out how romance can change the way of his life forever.
Romantic and delicious, this book will take you to a mountain voyage in an afternoon.
I’m a girl who loves dark and serious most of the time but sometimes you just need a good romantic story that makes you laugh. I had such a great time in this story world with Craig, Annie and of course Aunt Janice. What’s not to love about the aunt who just wants everyone happy and a town that knows your business before you even do? I found myself laughing out loud so much my husband looked at me like I’m crazy. This author made it easy to sink into the pages and just let the real world pass by without notice. Five stars all the way and I definitely can’t wait to read more from this author.
A good small town romance This contemporary romance has a bit of everything- drama, emotions, a meddling aunt, a wedding and lots of chemistry. I enjoy the Miller siblings and their banter. This is the second book in The Millers of Marietta series and is Annie and Craig’s story. I am looking forward to the next book. Recommend.
Hearts are a fickle thing; we think we really love someone only to realize the sparks just weren’t there. Annie realized this when Ted called off their wedding weeks before it came to fruition. After devastating loss, and unexpected change Annie packed up for a change of scenery.
Leaving all she knew taking her siblings with her she starting the adventure towards her dreams. All that’s missing was a little love well a lot of romance and tons of steamy romance.
Craig didn’t want romance he didn’t want love. He was a date em and leave em sort of guy. No time or desire to do the whole marriage thing. Loving his sibling / cousins fiercely he knew he wouldn’t miss their wedding for the world. Traveling to Marietta he sees Annie. A spicy brunette he doesn’t seem to be able to get his mind off.
Unable to keep their feelings of “lust” aside Craig and Annie give into their lust. But what does this mean? Are they only meant to be a one night stand? Read on to find out !
This is the first book I’ve read by Winckler, but it won’t be the last. I will definitely go back and read the first book in the series.
Annie Miller has renovated a small bed-and-breakfast in Marietta, but it’s been a struggle getting customers. Craig O’Sullivan lives in Portland, but his cousin is getting married soon in Marietta, so he comes to help his Aunt Janice with the wedding plans. What he doesn’t realize is Janice’s plan to play matchmaker for Annie and Craig. Because Craig works in advertising and social media, Janice asks him to help Annie lure more customers to her B&B. Craig and Annie have issues with commitment, for different reasons. Will they be able to put the past aside, and move forward?
Remember the word “beaded”. I laughed quite a bit while reading this book, I enjoyed it that much!
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
A heartwarming contemporary romance which kept me happily turning the pages. Annie Miller moves to Marietta to set up a B&B in the picturesque Bramble Lane, following the death of her parents. Having her brother and sister near by helps Annie to heal and also to forget her ex fiancé, who left her just weeks before their wedding. Meanwhile, workaholic marketing whiz Craig O’Sullivan from Portland is on a two week vacation in Marietta to see his cousin get married. When his Aunt Janice asks him to help Annie market her B&B he didn’t expect to fall in love! However, with Craig living and working in Portland and Annie’s life being in Marietta, the couple have to decide whether their developing relationship is forever or not. The chemistry between Annie and Craig comes across in the narrative and I felt engaged with the likeable and relatable couple, hoping they would get their HEA. The setting was brought vividly to life by the descriptive narrative and the storyline had me hooked throughout. I look forward to returning to Marietta soon!
When Annie moves to Montana after the death of her parents and opens a Bed and Breakfast she tries everything to bring in guests but its just not happening for her. Annie's brother and sister are currently living with her at the B&B but once they move out Annie needs to figure out how she won't lose the business. Along comes Craig O'Sullivan a marketing agent on "vacation" while his cousin is getting married. Will the stars collide?!? A can't put down romance novel (steamy*)!
A Match Made in Montana (The Millers of Marietta Book 2) by Elsa Winckler is Annie’s story. She wanted to begin again with her brother and sister moving to Marietta, Montana. Like the first book this continues the family’s story of new beginnings while sticking together and forging new relationships. This may very well be my favorite series by Elsa Winckler. Craig and Annie get to know each other as he has come to town for a cousin’s wedding.
This story of finding love unexpectedly has two great characters. Some amusing parts, some romantic parts, and some serious parts as these two must make decisions concerning their plans and paths in life which seem to intersect only for two weeks. It is wonderful to be back in Marietta again. A Match Made in Montana is a cheery story that will be sure to bring a true smile to your face.
An ARC of the book was given to me by Tule Publishing which I voluntarily chose to read and review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
A Match Made in Montana is the second book in The Millers of Marietta series by Elsa Winckler. This was such a fun and sweet second-chance romance story. Although this book is the second book of a series, I had no trouble following the storyline. Annie Miller is a sweet and kind woman who moves to Marietta to be with her siblings and sets up a bed and breakfast after she gets her heart broken. Craig O’Sullivan is a workaholic that comes to Marietta from Portland to attend his cousin's wedding and also gets some much-needed rest. I loved this story. Annie and Craig have great chemistry and a fun build-up. The story is written well and pretty realistic. I loved watching these two lower their guard and get to know each other. Also, lots of fun characters.
What a wonderful addition to this series. I loved Craig and Annie's story. There was so much chemistry between these two. I thought they were a perfect match. Both have been hurt in the past so they decide to just enjoy the time they have together than go there separate ways. Sometimes when you are least expecting it you find love in the most unexpected places. Will they decide what they have found is worth the risk? I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Two sets of wounded families collide in Montana. Typical small town living assures readers of some hilariously awkward moments! The protagonists face some seemingly large obstacles to their potential happiness. One has a gaping wound in the psyche left over from childhood. Another has a more recent adult-sized hole in the heart. The author brings the loveable characters of a small town to life to witness life-altering events among the ho-hum of the everyday.
A Match Made in Montana by Elsa Winckler is a good, and enjoyable small town opposites attract westerns romance read. The story has a great entertaining story line, and the story is a amazingly written read. The characters are great, and they have great chemistry. This story is a very entertaining read. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This is a new to me author and I wasn't really sure what to expect, however that being said I thought this book was a really fun read. The author had a way of making you feel like you were catching up with friends and that you were right there in the mixx of all the fun and drama. Annie was some one who spoke her mind and she held nothing back, she was strong independent and had a what felt like a heart of gold. She as truly a fun character to read about. Craig was more reserved, I feel like what summed him up was He worked hard, played hard and it was hard for him to open his heart up. I will say from page one this book is very sexually charged and may not be suitable for all readers. Overall this was quick read and a fun book that really draws you in.
This was my 1st book by this author and it won't be my last.
Annie has moved to Marietta, Montana to set up a B&B. She needs a place to heal after her fiance left her weeks before their weeding, her brother and sister also come with her. I loved that the B&B is on Bramble Lane. I enjoyed reading about the way Annie has set the B&B up. The only short coming for Annie is that she is not getting enough people coming to the B&B, marketing is not her strong point but she is willing to do all she can to keep her dream alive. Enter Craig, he has come to Marietta for a vacation, He needs to spend time with his family and rest. He is also there as his cousin is getting married. His Auntie Janice thinks that Craig should be thinking about getting married and set about match making him with Annie. She encourages them both to work together on a marketing plan that will help Annie keep her B&B and show Craig that there are perks about working with smaller businesses on marketing ideas. Will spending time together be good for them, will they act on their feelings?
I really enjoyed the characters and the setting and will be reading more from this author and series.
An easy-to-read, sweet story of second-chance romance. While this is the second book in the series, it isn’t necessary to read the first to understand the plot. Annie moved to Marietta after heartbreak with hopes of starting over with a B&B. Craig comes to Marietta for his cousin’s wedding and much needed rest. As the story unfolds, Annie and Craig’s chemistry builds as they figure out their feelings for each other. The characters in this book were relatable and fun.
This is the second book in the Millers of Marietta series. The fact that I dind’t realise until half way through the book that this was likely not the first goes to show that this can be read as a standalone. I will be going back to read the first book though. There is background that is missed but not reading the first book for example the previous couple’s story but overall, this doen’t impact the current story line as all vital information is given.
This has quickly become one of my favourite romances. It's fun, easy to read and sweet. I enjoyed the humour from page 1, it was brilliant. Annie and Craig are perfect. I love them! They’re fun characters and relatable. Annie was my favourite by far. Her comments and actions are unintentionally funny and she reminds me of a couple of friends in that way.
The author’s writing is descriptive without being too much and simple without being patronising. It’s easy to follow and a great read for when I was feeling down.
I loved this book and look forward to discovering more from this author!
Annie is not looking to settle down. She is over the entire aspect of getting married. Craig doesn't have any interest in being serious with anyone, ever. But for whatever reason, they have an unquenchable, undeniable attraction to one another. After an agreement to just let the next 2 weeks run their course and then be done. But will 2 weeks really be enough when all they can think about is one another?
This book has it all - the emotions, the turmoil, the "fun" of small town drama, and steamy scenes.
All I can say is that I'll never be able to hear the word "beading" again without chuckling to myself!
There were so many times when Craig annoyed me, but he was so redeemable and loveable that I just had to forgive him for it! As for Annie? What a sweet, kind and realistic heroine she was. She was no damsel in distress, neither did she let Craig walk all over her.
Also, midnight black sheets - yet another thing I won't be able to think about without chuckling to myself! 😉
Definite re-read material right here!
NOTE: ARC received in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
Annie Miller has had tragedy in her life, losing both your parents is a trauma but when you lose them together in the same accident you become lost but knowing she had to look after her brother and sister they decided to make a break and move to a town which held both good memories and a new start for the family.
Marietta was the place that her parents had taken them on holidays and the right place to make a new life, buying the B and B and making it home was all Annie was thinking about. Her sister was getting married in a few weeks and all the arrangements were getting sorted, but Annie worried about the business, she had a few bookings but nothing to make it a living which she needed to do. Although Janie has suggested her godson a big marketing man from Portland, Annie had reservations about working with the handsome man from the big city.
Craig O’Sullivan is becoming disillusioned working for a big firm, with the new contract they have just won meant that a smaller marketing company folded and that does not sit right with him, so when his Aunty Janice calls saying she needs help with his cousin’s wedding plans he sees this as an opportunity to escape the race for a bit and unwind. When he arrives to the small town of Marietta, he is pushed into helping Annie with her marketing strategy for the B and B but once he meets her the sparks fly and he can’t get her out of his head.
They decide to see where these sparks go but can they both agree on the short-term fun or when its time to say goodbye can they or are there hearts too invested in each other.
I loved this story; it was fully of swoon moments and just a good romance from start to finish. This is the first book I read by this author and loved the storytelling that flowed from the page. The character of Annie was lovely and although her confidence had been hit with a shovel by her ex-partner, I loved the willingness in the end to take a chance and go for what she wanted. Craig’s character was a perfect accompany to Annie and although he seemed confident and sure on the outside there was the doubt in him that he would be hurt and abandoned just like his parents had done all those years ago and that giving your heart always meant heartbreak.
The secondary characters were brilliant and enhanced the story and showed the families merging as one, please tell me that Riley and Mitch get together in the end as that chemistry was also jumping off the page and deserves a book of there own lol. Thank you for letting me invade and feel that these people could be my friends to.
