This novel is truly a heavy one to read. It’s not a easy one and not a light one, this one is a heavy romantic hot crazy love story. With many emotions in the characters and many of the real world as well. I was also prepared when i got this book and read the prologue. So I wasn’t surprised…. But like i said, this book is a heavy one. Make sure you are well prepared and your mental health are in place to read this book cause it’s a long one….
Also the cover of the book it says “Sinful Novel” and Sinful it is 😆😆😆😆🤭
The author did write the warnings pretty detailed tho so I wasn’t too surprise when i read the scenes. I only left with a shock tho😆
The beginning of the book is kinda wild and a bit annoying. Not what I wanted to read at first to get to know the characters 😅 Because at the first scenes of the hero, the hero was having someone s*cking his d*ck and it was on FULL SCENE DETAILED on it 😓 I like it when the book starts with the hero and heroine already gonna date, or just them not ever being with someone else or involved or touched someone else if you know what i mean😅🥵 So the first scenes of the hero, his first POV is just really not what I’m glad to read. Even in other books I review before, there was scenes of the hero have s3x with someone else before meeting his true love, and I don’t like that very much… Cause i like it when the story just starts with them gonna be together or just them the couple, NO ONE ELSE. JUST THEM. No having s3x or do any sexual things ever to someone else ever in the book😅
Tbh it was a bit hard for me to read this book as well because the hero at the beginning seems to be very toxic and even the things his doing is SO toxic. I just got out from a toxic relationship myself and the ex is very toxic, so reading this it creates a complicated feelings for me cause the traumatic experience i went through😅 Just saying tho. So if you are not well in your mental health or you are sad or trying to heal or in a bad state of mind then don’t read this toxic sinful book. Just sayin….
In the beginning it was not pretty POV from both of them because they’re characters have been through a lot in the past that made them like that. But I’m glad that the story begins with them being like that, to them being happy and truly changed to be better ☺️
Especially the hero himself when he see the heroine for the first time and talked to her, HE CANNOT STOP THINKING ABOUT HER. HE PURSUE HER SOOO BAD AND HE TRULY LOVES HER LIKE SOOOO BAD…. And actually their love story is pretty toxic but soooo romantic at the same time ❤️❤️❤️ that’s why i kept on reading them cause I literally love their story 🥺

‼️‼️‼️SAFE ROMANTIC VERY HOT AND LITTLE BIT TOXIC LOVE STORY.
Safe all the way though especially when they were officially together and when they meet for the first time. When they meet before s3x, it’s totally safe all the way. The hero immediately only wants the heroine, can’t stop thinking about her 🥺

But the love at first sight was pretty crazy and insane when they first meet though. When they first meet, (SPOILER),
The hero was just finished getting a blow j*b and then the heroine see them. The heroine immediately called the hero a jerk because he told the person who’s giving him a bj to go away😅 She then go away but the hero can’t stop looking at her and thinking of her☺️ Then the second time they meet again which is the next day at the same place and same spot, the hero was doing drugs and the heroine meet him again when she wants to be alone😄 Then they shared a drug together and pursue on doing hot intimate things 😛
Since that, the hero even more into her and even after that he push her to give him her number… The heroine thought it was a one thing only and she walked away after (which btw way to go girl i love that part😄) but then the hero immediately grabs her hand and told her “I want to see you again”.
‼️‼️‼️THE HERO IS 18 years old and the heroine is older by five or six years if I’m not mistaken. But she’s definitely not too old though…
‼️‼️‼️IT HAS A UNNECESSARY CHILDISH DRAMA BUT NOT TOO MUCH and not too annoying…. Sometimes the drama happens because of the drugs from the hero and sometimes he can be childish lol.
‼️‼️‼️THE HERO IS OVER THE TOP POSSESSIVE PROTECTIVE SOON AND IN THE FUTURE BECOMES A CEO BILLIONAIRE.
Also the hero is a stalker to the heroine 😏 He stalk her first and even try so hard to find her apartment!
The hero wow. His past and his now present when he was 18 years old in high school was SUPER WILD! Also it’s manly sad… Many times he used cocaine, all kind of drugs you can think of. You used it all and almost every single day though. He used those things to numb his past pain and basically to numb everything. At first he used it with the heroine as well even offering to her but after a while the heroine didn’t used it anymore. There were times only two times the hero just go on radio silent on the heroine because he was doing drugs things. I’m glad he never ever once cheated or touch anyone else when he was high tho😅
At first the hero’s personality was pretty hard to understand because all the drugs and all the anxiety depression he went through… But one thing for sure is that the hero truly wants to get better for the heroine. He truly will do anything to the heroine. He became better inside and out when he meet the heroine 🥺 His anxiety and POV became less complicated when he begins to see the heroine…. Which was pretty freaking romantic ❤️

The hero used to be a manwhor3 but not a major one.
‼️‼️‼️THE HEROINE. The heroine is starting a new job at her hometown as a teacher assistant in a famous high school. She’s a straight A student, highest rank on the honor roll, double majors and graduating summa cum laude. But her past was very hard on her. She’s a foster kid but thankfully in her young age she found a great parents that still so lovingly to her and so great to her 🥺 The heroine have this belief of not getting serious with anybody and she’s too broken to be with anybody. So her emotions and thoughts were pretty sad and crazy. She is sassy too…. I love that she likes to dress up to make her feel good, she’s very confident but not too arrogant.
‼️‼️‼️VERY HOT SMUT SCENES! SO EXTREMELY HOT. The hero loves the heroine’s body way too much… He always make sure to pleasure her first then make sure to have her many times 😏😏⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
And they only kissed a couple times at school. Never actually have s3x though in school if you are wondering 😆
‼️‼️‼️IT HAS PUSHING AWAY FROM THE HEROINE IN THE PAST AND FUTURE BUT NOT TOO MUCH…. And not too annoying. The hero never ever push the heroine away…

‼️‼️‼️THEIR CHEMISTRY IS VERY ROMANTIC AND HOT 😆 It also toxic but in a good and hot way. Only little toxicity😆 The toxicity is that they like to yell each other at times but not too much though… And the hero yell because he was still childish like 18 year old boy here and a older woman who is frustrated because the way he thinks sometimes lol. And also he was yelling at her when he was younger and was still using, in the future he doesn’t do that anymore tho. I like the way that the hero always apologizes first to the heroine when he say something crazy or do something wrong.
Like he apologizes to her firsts and immediately regretted it 😆
But their love story is truly romantic despite of their situation… Many times they go on a date, go on to the beaches, many times and many moments of them talking about everything. And when the heroine was talking about her plans, the hero make sure to include him into her plans. Like he make sure to add WE. ME AND YOU. Not only her. So it was very romantic ❤️ They always like to touch each other and the hero likes to kissed her 🥺
“I don’t know why I say it, I don’t know why I’m fighting so hard for this, but I know I have to. I can’t just walk out of here and let go of the feelings barreling through me right now. He will do literally everything to get and have the heroine. His love for her is so freakin big! That made me give it many stars because how much the hero loves the heroine 🥺 He needs her like a air to breathe…
Even in the beginning the hero is the one who said it first to the heroine that he is into her. And he wants more… Like literally be serious about it cause that’s how much he loves the heroine like never before ❤️❤️❤️

It was annoying also very romantic. The hero keep on sending the heroine text messages during those times of them being separated, so many times you will see the messages of the hero keep updating his life to the heroine. Every single time! BUT UNFORTUNATELY the heroine was so heart broken, during the separation time cause she lost her parents so she was very very extremely lost and broken. The heroine dated this guy and got engaged with him. She never marries the OM because the hero found her again and all her feelings for the hero never left her. She broke up with the man soon after she meet the hero like a day after then yeah the rest is history…. So in the separation time the heroine only dated and got engaged with one guy.
BUT THE HERO NEVER EVEERRR DATED OR TOUCH ANYONE ELSE DURING THE SEPARATION TIME 🥺 HE WAS CELIBATE ALL THE WAY!
Even his best friends are so confused with the hero cannot even go to parties anymore, or even graduation because he just want to be alone. The hero wow. His past and his now present when he was 18 years old in high school was SUPER WILD! Also it’s manly sad… Many times he used cocaine, all kind of drugs you can think of. You used it all and almost every single day though. He used those things to numb his past pain and basically to numb everything. At first he used it with the heroine as well even offering to her but after a while the heroine didn’t used it anymore. There were times only two times the hero just go on radio silent on the heroine because he was doing drugs things. I’m glad he never ever once cheated or touch anyone else when he was high tho😅
At first the hero’s personality was pretty hard to understand because all the drugs and all the anxiety depression he went through… But one thing for sure is that the hero truly wants to get better for the heroine. He truly will do anything to the heroine. He became better inside and out when he meet the heroine 🥺 His anxiety and POV became less complicated when he begins to see the heroine…. Which was pretty freaking romantic ❤️

She’s a straight A student, highest rank on the honor roll, double majors and graduating summa cum laude. But her past was very hard on her. She’s a foster kid but thankfully in her young age she found a great parents that still so lovingly to her and so great to her 🥺 The heroine have this belief of not getting serious with anybody and she’s too broken to be with anybody. So her emotions and thoughts were pretty sad and crazy. She is sassy too…. I love that she likes to dress up to make her feel good, she’s very confident but not too arrogant.

But their love story is truly romantic despite of their situation… Many times they go on a date, go on to the beaches, many times and many moments of them talking about everything. And when the heroine was talking about her plans, the hero make sure to include him into her plans. Like he make sure to add WE. ME AND YOU. Not only her. So it was very romantic ❤️ They always like to touch each other and the hero likes to kissed her 🥺

Although you can technically understand and enjoy his storyline as a standalone—to get the 𝗙𝗨𝗟𝗟 Hayden Monroe experience—make sure to start at the beginning with 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿 (𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗳𝘂𝗹 #𝟭) and 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗲 (𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗳𝘂𝗹 #𝟭.𝟱)—for a deeper backstory.

A relationship between a student and teacher is doomed from the beginning, especially if one of them is as fucked up as Hayden is. He is young, rich, arrogant and always one small push away from a psychotic breakdown.
When it comes to the characters, I was intrigued by Hayden. I already liked him in the first book and I enjoyed seeing more of him and his friendship with Logan. We already knew he was broken, but he loves fiercely. Penelope has struggled through a lot as well, but she had time to work through her problems and only keeps growing. It took me a few chapters, but I started liking her as well.
The story has a lot of trauma, especially in both Hayden’s and Penelope’s past, even without the whole problematic bond these two form and after everything comes crashing down, Penelope blames it all on Hayden, which yes, he was the reason everything crashed and burned, but she was the grown-up in this scenario, so I think that she should take some of the blame.
I really like Alice Rosies’ writing style. Just like in the first book, it felt flowy and just right for me. And I’m definitely going to read more by her. I’m really excited for the next book in this series, which will focus on Levi. So far, we don’t know a lot about him and his background and I’m curious to see, what his story brings.

Hayden and Penelope are straight fire. Both struggling in life but found each other regardless of all the noise surrounding them. Loved every second of this. Teacher/student, mental health rep, toxicity, spice, vulnerable and raw. Rosie did such a good job with this story!

For me, I just personally don’t enjoy books with heavy drug usage. If that’s not something that bothers you, I highly recommend the book!

G-Eazy and Halsey wrote the song Him & I purely for Penelope and Hayden. I refuse to think otherwise. I have been playing that song nonstop since beginning this book and every lyric, every beat, overall everything about that song relates to P and H. It is them.
“I know you’re broken, that you’re pushing me away because you think I’m going to destroy you – but it’s you who could destroy me, Penelope. I’d let you claw at me from the inside out, rip me apart and scatter the pieces if you wanted to.”
God, I have no idea where to start. Hayden, my heart cracked right open for him from start to finish. I wanted to give him the biggest hug ever since beginning this book. Penelope..oh Penelope. She deserves the world.
There are so, SO MANY scenes that grasped my heart and squeezed it to near death that I would be here for HOURS writing this review. I cried so hard when I read Hayden’s texts to Pen during those months/weeks/years. I kept cheering and cheering for them to get their happy ending and it was a long, bumpy ride, but god am I happy they got the HEA they deserved.
“He grabs my hand, squeezing my fingers tight before he places my palm on his chest. “My heart fucking beats for you; my soul fucking aches for you. No one else. I am yours.”
The amount of emotional and sexual turmoil I experienced while reading this entire book has overwhelmed me but am I complaining? Not at all. I wouldn’t want any other story for these two than this and I think it was written and played out perfectly.
I love how Rosie always manages to write such steamy yet emotional and serious stories that not only have a solid and good plot, but deal with real issues that others out there deal with. No bullshit, no lies, just the cold reality about love and mental health. Hayden was far from perfect and anyone who reads this story and even got the sneak peaks at his life in the previous book, Logan and Carson’s book, The Star , knows just how imperfect he is…but how Penelope comes in and helps him rediscover himself, rediscover what emotions and what love is, I’m getting emotional thinking about it all over again. So so so many feelings and emotions running through me right now that I’m shocked I’m even typing all of this.
My heart purely beats for these two and their relationship. Their love showed that nothing and no one is perfect. We all fuck up, we all make mistakes, we all have our own demons and we all deal with things differently. What matters is how we deal and that we remember that no matter what, at the end of the day, we are important and we matter.
I have so many highlights and notes I want to share from this story but I fear this review will be never ending if I do that. Since I shared two of the many highlights that ripped my heart out and threw it to the ground, I’ll share a hot one that made me need to put my iPad down.

The amount of emotional and sexual turmoil I experienced while reading this entire book has overwhelmed me but am I complaining? Not at all. I wouldn’t want any other story for these two than this and I think it was written and played out perfectly.
I love how Rosie always manages to write such steamy yet emotional and serious stories that not only have a solid and good plot, but deal with real issues that others out there deal with. No bullshit, no lies, just the cold reality about love and mental health. Hayden was far from perfect and anyone who reads this story and even got the sneak peaks at his life in the previous book, Logan and Carson’s book, The Star , knows just how imperfect he is…but how Penelope comes in and helps him rediscover himself, rediscover what emotions and what love is, I’m getting emotional thinking about it all over again. So so so many feelings and emotions running through me right now that I’m shocked I’m even typing all of this.
My heart purely beats for these two and their relationship. Their love showed that nothing and no one is perfect. We all fuck up, we all make mistakes, we all have our own demons and we all deal with things differently. What matters is how we deal and that we remember that no matter what, at the end of the day, we are important and we matter.
I have so many highlights and notes I want to share from this story but I fear this review will be never ending if I do that. Since I shared two of the many highlights that ripped my heart out and threw it to the ground, I’ll share a hot one that made me need to put my iPad down.

the author had an extensive trigger warning page, yet i was a fool who thought her mentioning drug & alcohol use was meant as a couple of times occurrence, NOT THE FOCAL POINT OF THE WHOLE BOOK 😭😭😭
I was so excited about this book. I started the whole series JUST to get to this one and have more of an understanding of Hayden Monroe's character. I mean THE WAY HE WAS in book 1? 😭😈🥵👑💘 I was rooting for him!
Plus the blurb made it seem this would focus on student/teacher relationship, which it did to a small extent. But the majority of the book revolves around his addiction and the way it influenced his and her lives... which is SO NOT the book i wanted to read and that was hinted in the blurb 🆘
What makes me so mad is the potential this book had. The build up. It was wasted so foolishly. Plus the friend group annoyed me to no end. The talked the talk about family, being there for each other etc. yet NOT ONE OF THEM did anything to help the hero overcome his addictions.

La diferencia en la escritura de Rosie Alice de la novella a esto omg, no lo negaré no le tenia tantas ganas a este libro porque los primeros dos, mientras me gustaron, no les encontré nada especial, pero éste me dejó así de uhm wtf. En el buen sentido.
Hayden, ay, sufrió bastante y fue difícil leer cómo las adicciones le costaron varias cosas, y cómo es que se fue alejando de sus amigos. Su relación con Penelope tuvo momentos muy bonitos y bastante hot, pero eran tóxicos y mientras leer sus peleas y cómo se reconciliaban me dejaban de uy ❤️🔥 era obvio que ambos necesitaban sanar. Penelope igual tuvo una evolución a lo largo de la historia, en cuestión de sí misma y sus alrededores. Cuando por fin se reencuentran creo ella era la que le faltaba quizás un pedazo para verdaderamente sanar y bueno, me agradó que no todo se haya hecho de que “es necesario que la pareja esté para sanar” sino “seré mejor persona, por ti pero también por mí”. 💖
Reverse age-gap es mi debilidad y aquí la edad no fue tipo gran parte del conflicto (o sea sí pero no xd), y no sentí nada cliché. Ah, creo que me ayudó bastante no tener una expectativa fija y fue una linda sorpresa.

It has everything I love in a good read , it's 𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗦𝗧𝗬 , has broken characters and 𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗕𝗜𝗗𝗗𝗘𝗡 toxic love. I fell in love with both characters and devoured this complex love story.
I just clicked with Rosie's writing and I felt all of the emotions both characters went through , this is not a light read and deals with some heavy topics so check triggers.
I have to mention I usually don't like it when the heroine is older than the hero but it honesty didn't even notice in this book and the age gap is not huge. Thanks to this book I won't let it put me off in the future.
This will be one of my top favourites for 2023 for sure.

You ever read a book that totally consumes you? It sucks you in and refuses to spit you out. It’s impossible to stop reading. You neglect all responsibilities just to finish. “Wicked” was the book that did this to me. I’m not kidding you. The characters, the writing, the story itself is all consuming. This is definitely one of the best written books I’ve read. Rosie Alice is a new to writer and I’m blown away by her writing ability. My book bestie really came through with the recommendation!
Hayden and Penelope go down as one of my favorite toxic couples. I loved these two individually and as a couple. From the moment these two met, it was gasoline poured on fire. Both were incredible characters with troubled pasts and uncertain futures. Their coping mechanisms were unhealthy and destructive especially Hayden. Hayden was in an immense amount of pain. I just wanted to wrap my arms around him. This story had so many complexities and layers. There was an age gap. Penelope being older than Hayden. Not only that, but she was also his history teacher. This story had my emotions all over the place. I seriously fell in love with these characters and rooted for them even when I couldn’t see how a HEA was possible.
I can go on and on about this story. But you HAVE to read it for yourselves. You won’t be able to put this book down. I loved everything about these characters and this story. These are unforgettable characters and I’ll be revisiting this story over and over again. I highly highly HIGHLY recommend this book!

The way you write literally makes you feel what the characters are feeling and experiencing. It’s downright amazing!! When you read this book I think you’ll know exactly what I mean and feel it too! There was just so many times my heart felt like it was breaking and overloaded with emotion especially for Hayden.
I had no doubts that I would love Hayden but I feel speechless to explain how much. I like my fictional men broken, tattooed, crazy and wild.. gimme gimme! It’s all about the growth and redemption. Hayden has me wrapped around his finger and I didn’t want the story to end! Plus then we get Penelope as our Heroine. To endure this toxic and emotional love she needed to be a strong woman and she is that!
After finishing college Penelope moves back to where she grew up to be with her parents when her father becomes ill. She’s ready to begin her next chapter as a Teacher but before she does she’s ready to let loose before work begins. While out she runs into a guy that gives her all the f*ck boy bad boy vibes but she decides to trust her gut and tries her best to avoid/ignore the pull to him. But who can avoid Hayden?! This toxic love story is just beginning and I’m not spoiling anything… so now you gotta read it!

Rosie Alice’s writing has improved over the years and I find myself really enjoying her books, this one included. I was hesitant to read this at first because the teacher-student trope is a little too close for comfort, but I was pleasantly surprised by the depth and emotion in this story. It’s a classic toxic relationship, with lots of angst and steamy sex scenes. I really felt the connection between the love interests and was rooting for them the whole way through. At this point I’m pretty invested in all of the side characters in this series, so I’m looking forward to reading the other instalments when they come out.

The Wicked follows Hayden Monroe, the destructive and brooding member of Carson and Logan's friend group and Penelope Leyton, a carefree and mysterious woman. Oh, yeah... and she's his teacher. These two characters compliment each other so well; they feed each other's flames.
This book has it all -- addiction, toxic love, heartbreak, and mental health representation. There is a lot I can not only say about this book but these two wonderful characters, but at that point, you'd be reading an entire essay, so I'll just leave it at this: Everyone, go pick up this book and all of Ro's other books, I can promise you that you won't regret it!

This book came recommended as an age gap romance yet 2 chapters in and the MMC is having sex with another man in a bar while doing enough pills to cooked a horse and the MFC is only worried about chain smoking, going clubbing and wanting hookups while her father is dying in the hospital. This isn't an age gap as there's barely 5 yrs difference . I won't finish as this gives off all the Icks. It's not dark at all like the author stated either. This is my first and last book by this author.

Just like Hayden and Penelope, I couldn’t stay away from this book. So many toxic things happened, and they were horrible for each other at the beginning, but I always rooted for them. I always felt like they were soulmates, no matter how dark their souls were.
“Why are you broken, Penelope?” I run the tip of my finger down the artwork on his forearm, around his wrist, and then I trace the letters on his knuckles. “Aren’t we all a little broken?”
I was intrigued by Hayden when I read The Star, which is about his best friends Carson and Logan. He was broody and mischievous in that book and it made me want to read this. I’m really glad I did because I ended up enjoying this book the most out of the series. I really love a found family trope so I’m happy that not only did Hayden have his family (Carson, Levi & Lo), but P was adopted by her loving parents.

As someone who has lost an immediate family member, I found the scenes with P’s parents very emotional. When the time jumped, I was sad we didn’t get to see her say goodbye to them, but honestly I think I would’ve been heartbroken to watch her go through another tragedy. I wish she got to keep them for longer.
I liked that they didn’t meet while he was in school, but before the year started. It was the same way that I enjoyed the taboo romance in The Star, because it wasn’t TOO out there or morally wrong for me. Yes, she was his teacher, but they met before she worked there.
I liked that they were both broken, although Hayden’s age, trauma and darkness did make him more “crazy.” I liked that they both felt alone until they found each other. Two broken souls coming together as one.
I couldn’t put this book down and devoured it within two days. I haven’t loved a series (of this genre) since The Devils Night series. If you like that series, I think you’ll enjoy these books also.
H & P forever. I loved that they got their happy ending.

Just like Hayden and Penelope, I couldn’t stay away from this book. So many toxic things happened, and they were horrible for each other at the beginning, but I always rooted for them. I always felt like they were soulmates, no matter how dark their souls were.
“Why are you broken, Penelope?” I run the tip of my finger down the artwork on his forearm, around his wrist, and then I trace the letters on his knuckles. “Aren’t we all a little broken?”
I was intrigued by Hayden when I read The Star, which is about his best friends Carson and Logan. He was broody and mischievous in that book and it made me want to read this. I’m really glad I did because I ended up enjoying this book the most out of the series. I really love a found family trope so I’m happy that not only did Hayden have his family (Carson, Levi & Lo), but P was adopted by her loving parents.

As someone who has lost an immediate family member, I found the scenes with P’s parents very emotional. When the time jumped, I was sad we didn’t get to see her say goodbye to them, but honestly I think I would’ve been heartbroken to watch her go through another tragedy. I wish she got to keep them for longer.
I liked that they didn’t meet while he was in school, but before the year started. It was the same way that I enjoyed the taboo romance in The Star, because it wasn’t TOO out there or morally wrong for me. Yes, she was his teacher, but they met before she worked there.
I liked that they were both broken, although Hayden’s age, trauma and darkness did make him more “crazy.” I liked that they both felt alone until they found each other. Two broken souls coming together as one.
I couldn’t put this book down and devoured it within two days. I haven’t loved a series (of this genre) since The Devils Night series. If you like that series, I think you’ll enjoy these books also.
H & P forever. I loved that they got their happy ending.
