This has taken me a while to read. Just got tired of it at 75% completion and I parked it for 2 weeks. But I hate leaving a book incomplete -so I’m going to read it at maybe one chapter per day. The book just bored me.
When I downloaded this was from my library app, Libby, I had no idea it was the third book of a series. I started reading Rochelle Alers last year and was happy to get it so soon after the release date.
Bainbridge House is a mansion in New Jersey that the adult Williamson kids promised to bring back to its glory. Say It Like You Mean It is the story of Joaquin Williamson and Shannon, the new pastry chef at Bainbridge House. Their romance is ten years in the making. Can they each overcome a past filled with heartache to see their future?
This is a mild spice romance with some language. Very enjoyable read.
Shannon Younger was now a top chef. She was given the job of being the chef for the Bainbridge House. Joaquin Williamson was drawn to Shannon. He was willed part of Bainbridge House. His job was to be in charge of the greenhouses and the landscape of the grounds. Both Shannon and Joaquin had been through bad relationships. Neither was looking for a partner. The story of how they navigated their relationship with its up and downs was great I loved how Shannon and Viola decided to have all female staff. I cannot wait for the next story about Bainbridge House.
Good read, I liked the characters and story. Joaquin and Shannon had an instant attraction. They are both divorced and cautious. This is their journey to love. It was great reading about the restoration of Bainbridge house and catching up with Taylor and Sonja along with Dom and Violet. I look forward to the next installment.
Joaquin Williamson and Shannon Younger met after not having seen each other for ten years. Both having bad experiences with marriage had trust issues and fear of falling in love to fast. Great read now I'm waiting on Patrick's story.
First of all, this author is a very seasoned writer . I have read three of her books back to back and all of them had many errors, I find that unacceptable for an author as experienced as she is. Also every story cannot end with a marriage.
