FBI Special Agent Faith Bold and her K9 German Shepherd, Turk, have gained a reputation for solving even the most perplexing cases, but when victims of a new serial killer are found left in plain sight, in the busiest train stations, Faith—and Turk—are stumped. The overwhelming amount of sensory information and the muddled crime scene make the killer untraceable. This time, Faith will have to help Turk, as the two of them watch each other’s backs as they walk into a deadly trap that seems set just for them.
FBI Special Agent Faith Bold doesn’t believe she can ever return to the force after the trauma she’s been through. Suffering from past demons, she feels unfit for duty and content to retire—until Turk walks into her life.
Turk, a former Marine Corps dog, wounded in battle, suffers from his own demons. But he never lets it show as he gives everything to Faith to get her back on her feet.
Each are slow to warm up to each other, but when they do, they are inseparable. Each is equally determined to hunt down the demons chasing them, whatever the cost, and to watch each other’s backs—even at the risk of their own life.
A page-turning and harrowing crime thriller featuring a brilliant and tortured FBI agent, the Faith Bold series is a riveting mystery, packed with non-stop action, suspense, twists and turns, revelations, and driven by a breakneck pace that will keep you flipping pages late into the night.

How do you find THE NEEDLE in a stack of needles? With a penchant for killing people right out in the open in a sea of people and then posing them on benches, the serial killer is like a chameleon and fancies himself as invisible. Even security footage doesn’t seem to capture him! Even Turk, the FBI K-9 gets confused on this case.
So Normal is book four in the Faith Bold series by Blake Pierce. FBI Special Agent Faith Bold and her K9 German Shepard Turk caught a case of a new serial killer who left their victims in plain sight of a busy train station. However, the train station made it hard for Turk to get a reading on the killer, which made it hard to find the killer. Will this case stump K9 Turk and his handler, Special Agent Faith Bold and end their perfect record of finding killers? The readers of So Normal will continue to follow FBI Special Agent Faith Bold and her K9 German Shepard Turk to discover what happens.
Readers of So Normal will learn about the role of law enforcement K9 dogs and how law enforcement officers use them. I like that Blake Pierce makes his main characters have problems and issues. So Normal also started me thinking about how we see people in the community and whether I make people feel invisible. I love this series, and So Normal is a fantastic addition to this excellent series. I love Blake Pierce's portrayal of his characters and their interaction with each other throughout this book. So Normal is well-written and researched. I like Blake Pierce's description of the settings of So Normal, which allowed me to imagine being part of the book's plot.
Faith's personal life is almost under control, she is now struggling with Michael's relationship with his new girlfriend to whom neither she nor Turk are able to warm up. They are assigned to find the killer who is posing his victims in plain sight and they pursue some leads that will take them nowhere near the culprit, until they do, and find him with Turk's decisive action. So Normal has a very interesting plot that leaves answers to be given in the next book. Good entertainment!
Faith Bold just might be the most stubborn character you'll ever read about in a book. She's trying to overcome adversity, but sometimes can't get out out her own way.
Binge reading these now, the story ends with a hook into the next book and need to find out what happens next. The relationship between the main characters is strained and now another agent is playing into the mix and it doesn't sound good. The is a very engaging series.
The books are interesting! Faith is (a bit) not a rule follower or great at being part of a team ... Turk is a Amazing Dog and a big reason I like these books!!
The story is a solid 3.5-4.5 start book. This is true for the entire series.
But it gets an automatic one start for using an AI audio narrator instead of getting an actual narrator to save money or whatever. There are tons and tons of narrators out there who are just starting, good and don’t need a paycheck for their work. Many work off audiobook sales or even credits (I know from experience with said narrators.)
AI “art” is lazy and a theft of real people creating art.
