When my girlfriend’s dad chased me out of her bedroom that Saturday afternoon, I never expected to end up transported to a world based on some sort of RPG System. But I guess that’s what happens when you're focused on avoiding the business end of a baseball bat and not paying attention to where you’re running.
To make matters worse, I managed to get myself indentured to some sort of dungeon god. That’ll teach me to not read the fine print. The job had some great perks an epic class, magic powers, and a smoking hot succubus that couldn’t get enough of me.
But there was a catch. The world was on the brink of some kind of oncoming apocalypse that my new boss thought I was somehow qualified to stop.
In my old life I probably would have lost my mind, but with my beautiful bondmate and a feisty redhead at my side, anything seemed possible. Even delving into a dungeon potentially full of void demons hell bent on devouring the world… or worse… spiders.

Absolute Buzz-kill. This story is a typical isekai (reincarnated into another world) fantasy novel series of an EI (Emotional Intelligence) retarded/challenged main character (and/or author) that "chooses" to learn to play the guitar, as an easy way to "seduce" the girls....then without any logical reasons, chooses the Bard Profession in this other world for the "same reasons". It's sad, really. To think that, a reader, that usually privileges Intelligence (reading over playing video games or watching porn) over "basic instincts" (physiological needs: eat, sleep, reproduce) would "enjoy" a story about some "dude" that is just "cruisin' in this other world" for his next sexual intercourse (wet-dreams come true/fantasy/Isekai). To make it an un-readable/un-bearable/cringe-worthy experience, it turns into a total HORROR/Freak-show the moment that the main character and his first adventuring team enter to delve at a "Dungeon". As a person/writer that prioritizes "music" and "mood", over substance and real story arcs, then this 90 degree-deep-dive-into-a-hell-like-dungeon ends this story badly. This book has no maps, no inside illustrations, no real world building (describing the systems in place in this other world: geopolitical, territorial, economic, social, religious, etc.) The author, this book does not describe the main characters well either. Just one liners about the girls curves, hair color, or amount of freckles... I do not recommend this book or its series.
Book wasn’t unreadable, but it was pretty toothless for about 75% or the book and the main character really doesn’t make much sense, but that last quarter showed some potential. Hopefully things pick up and the book uses more of this worlds potential in the next book.
The characters are flat, none of them are very well described except the main character. The combat is the same way, it's just rough. The main character is blah, nothing horrible about him but also nothing impressive. I'll try book two to see if this series improves.
MC way to timid and frightened. OMG "spiders" I mean really! This is the OP Warlock we're supposed to cheer for? What a joke. The all knowing bossy Lyra I want to strangle myself just to put her in her place and the whiny MC regarding taking others to his bed got OLD fast and I mean resl fast. It's a harem novel for pity sake!! Grow up already and shoe a strong spine but no. We're left with a mouse trying to get us readers to imagine a tiger. NO thanks. I'm off. Won't be reading more from this author. Take my advice and pass on this weak story and MC.
I wasn't sure about this. The title caught my eye, but the blurb didn't really sell it to me. One of my Goodreads friends gave it a good rating though, so I gave it a shot.
4.5 stars. Not top of the genre, but competently written with a decent MC and good execution. A note for the current generation on sexual consent, however. Sebastien has a good reason to not bang the inebriated hottie who wants him, but both of them being drunk (but mentally functional) is not a good reason.
Alcohol lowers inhibitions, it doesn't fundamentally change your personality or interests. A woman who is physically capable of dragging you into her room, and copos mentis enough to verbally express her intent is NOT being taken advantage of.
Traditional warnings about women scorned apply should you not follow through because you judged her incapable of making a decision due to a few drinks. I hesitate to use words like "mansplaining" but it covers the assumption that you know better than she does in this situation. Rant ends.
Pretty interesting... dungeon demons vs void demons
The MC is a high school student that gets killed accidentally whilst fleeing his lover's dad after being caught with his pants down. He ends up isekied on Lor and later fails to read the EULA. One should always read the EULA, especially after being sent to another world. LOL.
Remember high school students are immature horn dogs so this is fairly "normal" behavior. This results in his being cast into a dungeon where he finds out that he has been selected to be the bond-mate of the dungeon Lord's daughter. Leveling up he learns to fight dungeon monsters, before they are sent on their first mission where they discover a void demon plot to invade. What could go wrong?
MC dies and gets resurrected in a fantasy world with a game like system. He gets into a deal and does not read the EULA text that forces him into a 5 year pact. As reward he becomes a warlock (diguised as bard) and a succubus at his side. More or less standard dungeon delving litrpg stuff but the nice interaction between the characters and the good integration of the bard part made it more enjoyable then the average. There are sex scenes but they are not too much. Looks like there are more books to come - i would read them.
This is my first book by this author, and I enjoyed it very much. Honestly, the first chapter had me a little worried. I don't typically enjoy MCs who are so young, and lol act their age. I was pleasantly surprised how quickly the feel of the MC changed. He was still youthful in his actions but not a total idiot when it came to his interactions. He quickly adapted without becoming boring. Great job by the author. I look forward to exploring more of his works and the next book in this series.
There are many Isekai books to choose from, I find they are mostly hit or miss. This one was a hit for me. Written by an adult for adults. The MC is not over powered but more importantly, he’s not a whimp. A plausible plot, (sorta) fast moving, and enough action to hold my interest. I’m looking forward to the next one.
Generally a good read with interesting characters. Does have the typical Genre downside however. - Frequent and lengthy character stat sheets that are fully reproduced when only portions were necessary to the story. Also excessive padding of the page count due to formatting with waste full double or triple spacing between paragraphs and every line of the character sheets.
Loved the story, although alexa screwed it up a little
I live this story, and the characters. Even tho alexa had to speak out every single "equals" lol. Nothing like hearing 5 minutes of "equals equals equals equals" before carrying on with the story. But other than that it's a great story
I thoroughly enjoyed this and am looking forward to the next one. Characters have personality, the world building is interesting, and the MC doesn't just fall into bed with every woman he meets. I have to admit it was the title that got my attention more than anything, but I'm glad it did.
This is a fun story with fast paced action adventure and spice. Funny premise as nobody read the EULA! But in this case it bit the MC in the ass. Now with two hot companions it's off onto the next dungeon. Bri g on book two.
What a way to be sent to a new realm. Fun read with many comical moments. Finding out some things in life is transcending through the multiverse. Can't wait for the next installment of this series.
You like succubi and dungeon delving? This is for you! Wasn't sure about a few other plot points but it surprised me how everything flowed together to create a good story with good pacing.
This book was a blast to read. Likeable characters, great action, steamy scenes, and a great deal of humor. It is a bit dark in parts, but that's par for the course.
I quite enjoyed reading this book, with plenty of Earth references, and lots of action, RPG elements, humor and sass and thrilling battles, magic and of course a glimpse of the great big evil to be fought.
Great start to a new series and author. Looking forward to more in he future as the story progresses and more characters and scenarios get introduced. Keep up the good work!
Not terrible, but a bit heavy on "present day" stuff. MC won't f*ck Lyra because she's drunk, and when they finally do f*ck there's paragraph after paragraph of consent drivel. Oh, and the elf is they/them because why not.
Is a strong male lead character too much to ask for?
I really enjoyed reading this book. It was fun and entertaining. The story and characters were interesting and engaging. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next. This book is definitely worth checking out.
MC who acts like a 6-year old does some stuff in a fantasy world that works like a video game that wouldn't work with a bunch of 2-dimensional NPCs. The end. Reading this is the worst use of your time possible.
