This is so practical and so simple it is potentially life changing. I say potentially bc you have to put it into action but they are so simple but powerful. I will be training all my seminary students on these simple principles so they can more easily see the hand of God in their lives and see more miracles as well. I would thank the author for a tremendous impact on my life. Thanks so much for putting it in book form. I loved it.

Excellent book. Well worth the time to read. The author did his research on this topic and has great quotes, scriptures, and stories to help us understand how to act on revelation we are already receiving.

There are countless books on how to invite the Spirit of the Lord into our lives, but this has to be the best guide that I’ve found on how to actually recognize the voice of the Spirit when it comes (and it does come frequently…think about how many people need the Lord’s help vs how few are prepared to listen to his instructions and act as his helpers).

A must-read for anyone who wants to recognize God’s voice
This book was deeply inspiring. It helped me strengthen my communication with God and realize that He is already speaking—I just need to learn how to listen. Loren G. Dalton explains clearly and simply how to discern between thoughts that come from God and those that don’t. I especially loved how he teaches that the adversary is often “the second voice,” using convincing logic and even speaking in the first person to make us believe his ideas are our own.
Some of my favorite takeaways:
1. “He won’t prompt you to do good.”
2. “Satan is usually the second voice (or second prompting).”
3. “Satan uses great logic with his promptings.”
4. “Satan wants you to believe that his promptings are your own thoughts.”
5. “Satan oftentimes will speak to you in the first person.”
I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to better respond to divine promptings and avoid the deceptive whispers of the adversary.

I love the clarity and simplicity the author provides on recognizing and acting on promptings from the spirit. Each story shared illustrates the central point over and over--you ARE receiving revelation, now act on it! I thoroughly enjoyed the conversational, common sense tone that Loren uses, and having heard him give portions of this book as a talk before, it is exactly how he says it in real life. If you want to change your life and the lives of others for the better, learn to listen to and act on the Bings! that are already happening in your life. God loves and knows His children. How powerful to know that the Creator fo the universe is interested in us and will not only send angels in our time of need, but allow us to be those angels for others in their darkest hours, if we will simply listen and act.

Loren Dalton, a former mission president for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, provides some suggestions that all of us can use to recognize promptings from the Holy Ghost (Holy Spirit). Dalton includes many illustrative stories, along with supporting scriptural references and quotes from church general authorities.
Written in a more casual, accessible style, this book is geared toward teens and younger adults, but has information that may be helpful for anyone interested in understanding more about how the Holy Ghost may communicate with us. At the very least, it can provide some good topics for discussion.

This book is VERY interesting. In a lot of ways it's a little repetitive, but the doctrine here has the potential to be life changing. I find myself reflecting on my thoughts and promptings and trying to act more on the spirit's promptings. It was tough for me to finish (and granted I've read several in the in between) I think because it has the potential to change how you think and act and the adversary has been working to keep me from it. Wholeheartedly recommend.

This book is simple. It is a bit repetitive. It has a lot of stories and examples. It is repetitive - did I already say that? 😅 However, the 5 stars are for the fact that if you act on what is taught in this book - it can be life changing for you and countless other people. Read it and find out how!

Loren brings new light to how we receive revelation from the Lord! I gained new insights and new skills to help me know how to receive revelation and how to act on it. Great book with tools you can use today
