The man turns around, and my eyes bulge out of their sockets. He says, "Raven?" at the same time I say, "Ian?!"

I'm staring at Ian Reyes, aka Aimee's stepbrother, though he's old enough to be her dad. Aimee's stepfather–Ian's dad–is old enough to be her grandfather. When her mom was first dating him, Aimee would call him "the ancient one."

Like always, my heart beats a little faster in Ian's presence. For a while, I had–okay, fine, still have–a crush on him, which of course, is something I haven't told Aimee. I'm not totally sure about the rules of lusting after your friend's stepbrother, but I'm fairly certain they're similar to the rules of lusting after your friend's brother.

This is a well written short, fast paced book that I read in less than 30 minutes. It's an enjoyable read with descriptive scenes.

As if having a crush on her best friend's step brother wasn't bad enough, our hero is also considerably older than our heroine, adding yet another complication to the mix. That just makes it all the more appealing, right?

This is a short erotic romance with a taboo theme and a bit more. The story is well written and easy to read with a small but effective cast. The story moves along at a good pace with plenty of steam along the way. The plot is not complicated, but it is fun nonetheless and leads to a nice tidy conclusion. Overall, it made for a pleasant evening read.

Highly recommended.

My Best Friend's Stepbrother is a steamy, instalove, OTT, age-gap, girl gets her best friend's much older stepbrother romance. Raven is a college student who was just placed on academic probation at her dream school. She goes out with her BFF, Aimee, and ends up very drunk. They run into Ian, Aimee's hunky, much older, billionaire brother, when leaving the bar. Raven has always had a crush on him and let's him know it. Aimee and Ian take her to his place to sober up, and the next day, things get hot and steamy between the two. Isla is the queen of age-gap, erotic shorts. This was another fun read.

I am a huge of Isla Chiu because her stories are quick and very steamy. Perfect afternoon reads. My Best Friend's Stepbrother is definitely one of my favorites. After drowning her sorrows with Aimee at the local bar, Raven's crush and best friend's older stepbrother, Ian shows up and quickly takes control. I loved the intense chemistry between Raven and Ian and now that Ian knows of her crush her is ready to stake his claim!

This story is unique for a stepbrother story since he is actually much older and almost like a father figure instead. I liked their dynamic and it is a short read. The setup for the story is also really good so it flows well for their reasons to be together.
