Perry Altair is following in his father's footsteps, has been since he was old enough to walk. There was never a question of what he’d do when he grew up. Not when a seat at the prestigious Altair table was presented to him on his graduation day.
The Assistant/Dancer
Dominic Summit lives a double life. By day, he’s the executive assistant to a very sexy CEO, who he also happens to have a crush on. By night, he’s an exotic dancer with a hidden identity. His two worlds are never meant to collide.
The Best Friend/Bodyguard
Peyton Lynx has been guarding Perry’s back since their freshman year in high school. For Peyton, it was love at first sight, one he never voiced. Years later, he’s still protecting Perry while loving him from afar.
Three ties to bind. Three hearts on the line.
Three souls who break trying to ease their ache.
With Perry’s father gone, it’s up to him to keep the company from going under. Decisions have to be made and risks need to be taken, not only in business but in their personal lives too.
Three men find something precious and beautiful together. Something they’ll fight with their lives to hold on to.
Three Ties to Bind is an MMM steamy contemporary romance and book one in the Three Ties series. It features a hot-tempered CEO, an exotic dancer with all the right moves, and a bodyguard who loves taking care of his men. There is bi-awakening, best friends to lovers, an employee/boss relationship, an age gap, hurt/comfort, and a HEA. This isn’t your typical office romance. Each book in the series can be read as a standalone but is better enjoyed when read in order.
Content warning for descriptive violence, depression, PTSD, and attempted off-page suicide.

I thought this would be great but it got real cheesy real quick.
There’s Perry the boss, Peyton the bodyguard, and Dominic the assistant who also works at a high class strip club on the side.
Peyton and Dom are both into Perry but have no feelings forward each other, until Perry goes to Dom’s club one time and see’s him dancing as “Ocean”and feels a way about him he’s never felt about anyone else except Perry. Dom also suddenly falls for Peyton just by the way Peyton looks at him 🙄 Peyton doesn’t yet know that Ocean is Dom, because he wears a mask that covers his eyes and you know that is a perfect disguise. But Dominic wears the same scent to work the next day and when Peyton gets too close and smells him, that’s how he realises that Dom is Ocean.
That’s when I started skipped cause it was just ridiculous. I skipped ahead a bit to see what would happen and they bring Perry to the club and ofc he also falls instantly in love with Oceans dancing. Perry thinks Peyton is jerking off watching Ocean and gets turned on, which is a big shock cause that’s his bestie and he’s never had those feelings before ya know. Then they go meet with Ocean privately and Peyton straight up tells Perry “I love you”. Dom reveals himself and I finally give up cause I don’t even care where this goes anymore.

This is the first book I have read by this author and I quite enjoyed it. It seems that MMM romance is what they’ve been focusing on lately. I absolutely love MMM but I’m super particular about the relationships and how it has to work for me to enjoy them. I found that the love was fairly equal in this story and I didn’t have any issues about anyone feeling left out.
I’m fairly certain this is the first MMM that I’ve read with a bi-awakening and I think that was what threw me off the most with the story. Perry had never been attracted to males before so he needed time to process and figure himself out. However, I don’t feel like Peyton and Dominic really understood that and almost rushed him to make up his mind. Once Perry made his decision though I loved their dynamic!
I’m a huge fan of MCs having surprising side jobs and the other MCs discover this and make for some interesting scenes. Because this is an MMM we got this discovery twice and both times were amazing! I’m really happy with the HEA they ended up with. I think the author dealt with the coworker issues very well. I definitely recommend if you enjoy office/bodyguard MMM romances!
Surprisingly good. The plot worked well, I wanted to slap Perry for snapping pencils, Payton is defiantly the alpha of the group and Dominic is just so lovable and sweet. I liked this book!
I’m going to tell you the premise of the story and then explain what I liked and didn’t like about this book.
Perry is a 40 ish rich, privileged CEO and owner of a race car company. He is the nephew of a crime boss. Because of a threat to his life when he was younger, his best friend is his body guard. Perry is straight, never having looked at guys sexually.
Peyton is eleven months older than Perry and his best friend and protector. He takes his job very seriously. He is also in love with Perry and has been for 25 years. As a teen he was taught by Perry’s father how to fight, shoot a gun, and become Perry’s bodyguard.
Dominic is a 25 yr old assistant to Perry and a male dancer at a high end strip club. He has had a crush on Perry since he started working for him a few years ago.
These are the three men that get involved with each other and learn to navigate a complicated relationship and finding love.
So, what I liked about this story was the sweet factor, the way the three men loved each other and how they showed their loved. The sex scenes were very spicy and well written. The side characters are interesting and set up nicely for her second book.
What I did not like about the book was the amount of tropes casually tossed around without bringing them depth. I think if the author would have either gone into more detail and support for the various tropes they would have worked. This book could easily have been two. We have Peyton and Dominic who did not have a crush on each other have one quick scene at the strip club and instalove. It was whiplash. Then, since they both have crushes and are in love with Perry they quickly bring him into their circle and although he has been very straight, even sexually promiscuous in college with only women, he goes along without any real hesitation. Then, we throw in the company having problems, the uncle gets involved, the cousin, and some kidnapping. Each plot is quick.
A 3 ⭐️ to me means some areas had difficulty but was not a hardship to read and I’d be interested in reading sequels.
This book was a whole lot of deliciousness!! It was the perfect blend of sweet and some extra spicy moments. The relationship development of these three characters was on point, individually these guys were well developed and extremely likable....together these guys were magic. Growly, possessive sweet, sweet MAGIC!!! Each man gave their own strengths to this relationship and they blended so well together, the author did such a great job with matching all of the puzzle pieces just right to make this relationship work and work it did. I especially thought the first encounter between Pey and Dom was the perfect symbolic match to ignite the inferno of these three!! The world building and side characters were great as well, it left you with a feeling that you needed more when you finished reading. I would most definitely recommend this book. I can't wait for the next throuple of this series, I mean JJ, Greer and Dex 🔥🔥🔥.
* I received an ARC from GRR, this is my open and honest review *
I had super high hopes for this book based on the blurb. The premise sounds totally hot, but something was off for me. Perhaps it was the character development. I didn’t feel as if these characters were well fleshed out. They were simply people doing things. Ultimately, I felt no connection between Perry, Peyton, and Dominic, and what should have been a smoking hot read left me feeling pretty meh. 2.75 stars rounded up to 3.
I enjoyed it but it wasn’t something I had to read because I couldn’t put it down. They all seemed to have insta-love and it didn’t work well for me in this car. There was a lot more “tell” than “show” in places. And the suspenseful piece seemed to come out of nowhere. It was well written but just…I needed more feelings.
2,5 ⭐ idk the story was a bit off and it I lost interest several times. Characters were okay but nothing special and the writing felt awkward at times...
Trigger Warnings include: mentions of stroke and death of a loved one, kidnapping, descriptive violence, depression, PTSD, and attempted off-page suicide.
“All these years, how do you not know you’re in love with your best friend?” Oh…they knew. They just need a little nudge in the right direction. Dominic was that nudge. Not that he had to push Peyton very far. That poor man has had googly heart eyes for his best friend, the man he has dedicated his entire life to protecting, for two decades. Perry just needed a little…eye opening. And open his eyes Pey and Dom did! From page one, I enjoyed each of their connections to each other. Each bond is special, and I loved getting to spend time with each of them. But the three of them together? I felt the electricity. That love. The respect, appreciation. They each oozed dominance, a need to protect one another at any cost. I loved that no matter how well they knew each other, they truly discovered each other once their hearts were open.

8/10 Dirty Birdy 4/10 Age Gap 9/10 Friends to Lovers 8/10 The CEO Type 8/10 Workplace Romance 8/10 Series
I was hoping for this book to be amazing but it just gradually got worse as the story continued.
The writing style felt like the words were talking to the audience rather than actually describing what's going on in the scene. It's easy to lose track of who's talking to who every time there's dialogue because it doesn't say who's speaking each line. And there was a few spag errors that annoyed me.
One of the most annoying things I found with this book was that every character was a man (except for Dom's replacement) and guess what? They're all gay. I read this book willingly because I love MM romance but not every character needs to be gay.
Won't be reading the rest of this series but you mean to tell me that the next book is JJ (Perry's cousin) x Greer (Peyton's brother) x Dexen (Dom's friend/owner of strip club) ??? Seems like a weird mix of characters considering Dexen and JJ have never spoken to each other.
Perry has an obsession with snapping pencils and throwing things in his office. But every time he throws something Peyton runs in as if someone's broken in through the window just to see a pencil pot on the floor.
By 57% of the book, the three men finally admit that they're serious about dating each other. But then JJ walks in for his first day of work and Dom is lusting for JJ immediately?! For someone who's been obsessed with Perry since he started working there and loving Peyton since he saw him at the strip club he sure isn't acting like that. This gave me an ick.
THEN DOM WHIMPERS FOR JJ?!
(Spoilers for next part)
Also Alan/Emerald's character was so stupid. He kidnaps Dom because Perry wouldn't be friends with him at school (30 years ago) or hire him for his company. It's not that deep. He then sharpens a nail file to stab Dom in the leg. A nail file?! Why? It just sounded a little pathetic if I'm being honest. Kidnapped him to stab him once with a nail file.
Took me 4 days to read this and I probably won't be reading from this author again. Can guarantee I won't read the rest of the series.
This book has me liking the characters, but wishing for a little better story for them. The set up works well with Peyton and Dominic both working for Perry in different roles and both being in love with him. Perry and Peyton have a long history that we are told about, but not shown, and Peyton has been in love with Perry for a long time. Peyton and Dominic never thought about each other in a romantic way, until one night at the club where Dominic dances changes that.
The relationship dynamics then change quickly. Once Perry realizes that both men are in love with him, he gets on board fairly fast with exploring that side of a relationship with them. The intimate scenes worked well, but I also would have liked to see more relationship development. Following alongside this is Perry’s business troubles and his extended family that is in the Mafia.
This is the first book I have read by this author and I enjoyed reading it. It is a mmm story between straight CEO Perry, his bodyguard Peyton and his assistant Dominic. Peyton has been in love with Perry for years but never thought he would have a chance. Dominic has a crush on Perry too. He is a dancer at night as when Peyton sees him one night they realise they have chemistry too but since they both have feelings for Perry, they feel they need him as well. They plan for Perry to come to the club and when he sees Dominic dance, it stirs something in him and that's the start of their relationship. They enjoy exploring each other. It was quite a sweet story despite a bit of angst when Dominic gets kidnapped by a fellow dancer who was obsessed with Perry. Look forward to reading the next book in the series.
Ok, so this is one of those instances where I think it's not the book, it's me. Objectively there wasn't anything wrong with this story. I had a feeling early on that I wasn't going to connect with the characters and while I could have pushed through and finished with a 3 star rating, there are better things for me to be doing on a Sunday afternoon.
I never felt the connection between Perry and the others, not once. Peyton and Dom have clear chemistry and it just seems like Perry is just there for the ride. I think I would have enjoyed the story more if he’d been left out.
Firstly let me say I’ve got this book from gay romance reviews and this is me leaving my honest review. This is the first book that I read by Michelle Dare and I’ve got to say I thoroughly enjoyed this book. You have got Perry who is Straight and a CEO of a family built company, Peyton Who is Perry’s best friend and bodyguard, and Dominic who is Perry’s personal assistant. Peyton and Dominic are openly gay. They never really looked at one another Just kept on about their day keeping Perry calm informed and safe. Perry is stressed about the business not doing well and think he’s only chance from not laying off staff is going to his uncle who is the head of the mafia. Peyton has been secretly in love with his best friend since he met him because Perry is straight, he never thought anything would happen. Dominic is also taking care of his sister so for extra money he dances in a Gentlemans club and this is his first passion he is an outstanding dancer. Does it sound like the three would make the best throuple in the world?? The answer is yes.
That’s all I’m gonna say about the storyline because there is a lot going on twists and turns that I didn’t see coming, But what I am going to say is that when somebody knows they can look into their partners eyes and just see love then it’s a game changer. The best thing that ever happened to Perry was Peyton and Dominic taking him into a private room after he sees ocean dance. I got Very excited for their future. Peyton’s brother Greer who also works With Perry, Peyton and Dominic and is a massive part in their lives. He takes Perry‘s safety very seriously. He’s protected him since they both went to college together. I’m just gonna say this because it was one of my favourite parts of the book when Peyton’s mum learns about these three being in a relationship, I just love her she is a mama bear who is just happy for her boys. I am so excited for the next book it’s going to be a humdinger
✮ not bad but i was bored ✮ there was no chemistry between Perry and his partners ✮ i kept confusing Perry & Peyton, maybe because both their names start with “P” but also they lacked character ✮ writing didn’t flow. it felt like a giant stop sign was being dropped right in the middle of sentences and the dialogue was stiff ✮ nothing happened ?? i mean it did, but it was executed badly and the MCs’ emotions when the bad came felt inauthentic. so inauthentic i wanted worse to happen to pull some FEELINGS
This was an enjoyable read, where I take issue is the characters made it seem like Perry was this lynch pin for Peyton and Dominic to work out. I didn’t feel the chemistry was organic with Perry in the mix, while Peyton and Dominic felt believable with in the story. Perhaps much if it was due to Perry’s thoughts predominantly focusing on himself/the business while Peyton and Dominic were focused more on relationship building.

2.5 Had the elements to be a good story but it just didn't grab me. The relationship building just wasn't interesting or compelling. Nearly DNF'd a bunch of times but hate to quit. Am interested in some follow up characters but not sure the writing will be worth it.
This book had a lot of potential but it fell a little flat for me. I like all the three guys but I felt like there was just some things missing in this book. For one, I just didn't feel the love between the guys. Yes they had reactions to each other but there wasn't much touching beforehand or really much of showing their attractions to one another. Perry was the local celebrity thanks to his dad starting the business he now runs. He is kind of a spoiled brat in a way. He has always had Peyton and Greer protecting him. Peyton, especially, takes this very seriously. Perry was always with girls and never once thought about being with a guy. This is my other problem with this book.. When these guys finally confess their feelings towards each other, Perry just jumps into "Ok I like guys now." I expected some kind of questioning himself and being hesitant to it but we really didn't get that in this book. He had to be coached. Peyton has always known what he wanted and that was to protect Perry at all costs and tell Perry how he feels. Perry has the reaction to Dominic first and I was seriously hoping to have some one on one time with these two but really didn't have that. I was a little disappointed. Dominic, oh Dominic is a character you love because of how he protects his little sister and with how much he's overcame in his life. He is a man who knows what makes him happy and will do anything to make it happen. My beef with him was even after the guys get together and they are all in their love bubble, he still has doubts about how they feel about him and if what he's doing is really what he wants to do. It kind of threw me off of him. I think truth be told that this story felt rushed and there could have been more added to it to make you feel the connection with the guys especially Perry. I would have loved to see him show a softer side and get into his head more. If you're looking for a book that full of all kinds of steamy times between them, this isn't it. You have to seriously wait until the second half of the book for that to happen. Also there's a bit of weird moment that honestly came out of nowhere for me and I don't know if it was really needed or could have been done a different way. It was just out there. I will continue to read the next two books in this series cause I'm curious of what's going on with Greer, JJ and Dexan cause they are all being very secretive about it.
Meh, this really wasn't my cup of tea. Could be because I'm a straight woman, and this was a MMM where one of the men has a sexual awakening. Could be because the writing felt like fan fiction and the major plot points didn't match up to where the author was leading us to believe it was headed. And sure, you expect that kind of thing in a murder mystery or even a horror book. But in a romantic, smutty book? Doesn't really make sense in this genre. I will say that weird plot aside, the spice in this one was pretty freaking good (3/5), with an author who pays attention to detail when it comes to anal prep. It's important for that to be a priority!! So kudos for the anal prep. I would say that this wasn't a terrible book, but it definitely wasn't up there as a top contender in the MM world. Not a bad read, but not great either.
These men are all supposedly in their 40's ... or close to being anyway. But the way their characters are written make them seem much less emotionally developed and they read like teenagers or early 20's to me. Specifically Perry. He seems like he's coddled and placated a lot, and that only makes sense, at least to me, if he were a lot younger than what is purported.
Perry and Peyton are such fucking similar names that I had to orient myself to who was who practically every time one of them was mentioned. Dominic was different enough that it was easy to separate him, but the other two? It was like mental gymnastics keeping the two separate.
I don't know that its necessarily fair of Peyton and Dominic to kind of gang up on Perry in the office after they have their threesome. They both threw their love and affections and intentions with what they wanted from him and then got physical. Perry hasn't been with a man ever, and is dealing with a lot of shit in his office life. They gave him very little time to wrap his head around what they wanted and were asking. He has to rethink everything about who he was and it's been flipped on its axis. Did he handle it well by basically saying that he enjoyed having sex with them and not speaking to any kind of relationship outside of that? No. It did not. But Peyton and Dominic have a dramatic reaction to Perry needing time and that's just not fair. But when Perry does get on board, he goes from straight to gobbling down dick like a freaking pro so fast. You think there'd be some kind of learning curve or something. But he seems to take to it like he's been doing it his whole life.

Take two best friends and add a spitfire of an assistant and what do you get? Three souls meant to be together. Three Ties to Bind is the first book in the Ties to Bind series by Michelle Dare. The chemistry and dynamic between these three are written to draw the reader in and she didn't disappoint. The premise of this story was a great way to start a series. This is not the first I've read of her work and while I won't say that I liked this more the scope of the story was way different than what I've read of her in the past.
Perry and Peyton have known each other since they were teens. Dominic came into the picture as Perry's assistant. Perry comes from a mafia family but owns a Race Car Parts business. Peyton works for Perry as his security. Dominic is a dancer at the club Untouchable when he's not holding Perry's life together. When Peyton goes to Untouchable one night to get his mind off of his feelings for Perry, he doesn't realize until his pal Dexen puts Peyton in a private room that it's Dominic whom he saw dancing. That night he realized he can't let Dom go. He needs Dom and Perry in his life and all he and Dom have to do is make Perry see the light. When these three finally come together, the awakening begins for Perry. He knows from that moment he can't live without either of them. The unexpected twist is the psychotic man that invades their lives without any of them knowing. It isn't until that psychotic person takes one of their men hostage that their love is really put to the test. Will their love get them through? What will happen if they don't get to their loved one in time?
I'm so happy I was able to read this. I was given this opportunity by the author and I can't thank her enough. If you're looking for a MMM romance with a bit of an action aspect, I highly recommend this book and look forward to the rest of the series.
Independent reviewer for GRR, I was gifted my copy of this book.
Peyton is body guard/best friend to Perry. Dominic is Perry's PA. They shouldn't work, but can they?
For the most part, I liked this book, I really did. It pushed lots of my buttons and that's always a good thing. All three get a say, in the first person, but all changes are clearly headed. It's steamy and smexy, cos you know, 3 guys! But emotional, at some points, heavy on the emotions. Lots of drama, what with Uncle Jordan (to Perry) being head of the local mafia, and Perry struggling to keep his company afloat, but also between JJ and Uncle Jordan (his dad ) I liked that long standing history between Perry and Peyton, and how well Dominic fits into that. I loved that once they decided they were doing this, they were all in, all three of them. I found it well written, and well delivered, and it kept me fully engaged throughout.
So what didn't work? I found, while the story does flow, it was also stilted in places, a bit stagnant for a time that made me feel like I was plowing through pages of mindless rambling from all three guys, not just one, and I did, at a couple points, contemplate dumping this. I'm so glad I didn't, but I have to say what I felt about this book and that's what I felt. I'm GLAD I kept going, but I did struggle.
Up next is Greer, Peyton's brother, along with Dexen, who owns the club Dominic dances at and JJ, Perry's cousin. There is clearly, given what happens here, something already between 2 of these three, not saying who though and it will be fun watching them actually get their heads out their backsides and doing something about it!
Ms Dare writes both M/F and M/M or in this case, MMM. I havent read anything else by her before, and I'd like to to delve into her M/F collection. I'm an equal opportunites reader, and am happy to read every which way the romance comes!
Three Ties to Bind: An MMM Romance is as it says a MMM romance story with a strong thriller element in the second half which I’ll keep you in the dark about. Perry Altair is the CEO of Altair, a race car parts business which is in danger of crashing. Perry cannot see his way forward as he will not look at anything not relating to race cars even if it is automobile related. He makes a decision that may have consequences that reach far outside book one in the Three Ties series.
Dominic Summit is Perry’s personal assistant and an exotic dancer on the sly Dancer. He puts up with Perry’s anger issues and protects him from unnecessary interruptions. In addition he has strong feelings for Perry as does Peyton.
Peyton Lynx is Perry’s best friend and his bodyguard as he needs one due to his family connections, mainly his uncle who is the crime boss ruling the other side of town. On top of that Pey is secretly in love with Perry as well. When Pey goes to Untouchable, the night club where Dom dances he finds his love is capable of encompassing more than one man. That comes to light when they both reveal their feelings to Perry.
The story follows the three as they navigate their feelings for each other and what it means to be in a threesome. There are going to be consequences they could not have imagined.
This a rarefied world involving the privileged and their employees and as such does little to garner my sympathies for the protagonists. Still they are likeable enough and their interactions are fun or heart felt when appropriate. It is an okay read with some interesting secondary characters who will get their time to shine in the next book in the series.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
