Trudy is a fashion model living her best life in sunny Los Angeles. She shops on Rodeo Drive and can afford it, owns an expensive home, and has a circle of family and friends who love her. But being just an ordinary model isn’t enough for Trudy. Nope, she wants to be a SUPERMODEL…one on par with the likes of Naomi Campbell or Tyra Banks. With faith, prayer, and humbleness, Trudy has managed to keep her Godliness intact in Tinseltown, even when many other aspiring models haven’t. But when one of the biggest movers and shakers in the fashion industry offers her the world on a pretty, platinum platter, will Trudy exchange her holiness for success? And when an unforeseen situation changes everything for her, will she be able to keep praising despite her flaws?
The book was much longer than I needed it to be, but it was an enjoyable read. Trudy Young, a model and wants to be a supermodel but there are limits on what she will do. Her ambition drives her to that decision point and she must decide how much she is willing to sacrifice to advance. This decision lands Trudy in more than she can easily get out of. She meets the handsome Lance, and finds out he is more than he appears to be. Lance is doubly interested in Trudy, and he will do whatever is necessary to ensure her well-being. In the process of time, life happens and the two go their separate direction. Years later they are reunited and Lance still has to keep her safe. I hated Trudy’s medical diagnosis -what a setback. This condition dis-configured the beautiful Trudy. As a young lady that desires marriage and family she is left wondering if this condition will ruin all chances for a happily ever-after!
Another beautiful story about learning how to love oneself beyond the outside looks to the inner beauty Trudy and Lance found a love brother was looking for but one that was ordained for them Trudy let fear determine how she saw herself and how she thought others outside her inner circle would view her dictate how she dressed and went places even though she had faith she still had doubt about her beauty This book deals with these issues beautifully and gives us life lessons that we can take away when the story ends We all have flaws but our Savior see past them all and if you find a Lance who loves you like he did Trudy you will realize that your flaws become invisible under unconditional love Great job Taretha Continue being used by God yo write these inspirational books of encouragement Getting ready for next in the series
Title: Praising Past My Flaws Author: Taretha Jones Publisher: Firstman Publications Series: Faith, Flaws, and All Book 3 Reviewed By: Arlena Dean Rating: Five Review: "Praising Past My Flaws" by Taretha Jones Beautiful Read:
'Praising Past My Flaws' book 3 was indeed an excellent read of how this will turn out when you let God be the one that leads you as he did for Trudy. Yes, she truly wanted to be a Supermodel, but God had something even better for her. Will she receive it through her 'faith, prayer, and humbleness? Well, I will stop here and say you must pick up this novel because this author did an excellent job bringing it all out of how God is sending up what we need at the right time.
PraisingPast MyFlaws: A Christian Romance Novel (Faith, Flaws & All Book 3)
So wonderfully written. God wants us to seek Him even when we don’t feel like it.. God is able to turn our worries, pain, frustrations and anger around. He ask that we have faith and trust in Him. Trudy had to allow God to take the wheel and control her life. As she learned to accept her condition and realize she was still blessed in spite of what things looked like. God began to move in her life. She finally learned that what God had in store for her was for her.Lance was a God sent.
This was okay. There are a lot of unnecessary details. I have noticed that is a thing with this author. At the beginning of the book, Trudy could feel chills when dealing with Salvatore but thinks that Amanda is a sweetheart. It is interesting how God always gave someone a message but nothing regarding Amanda. I am not being funny, but Trudy not figuring out why she was not feeling well makes her come off as someone without common sense. Last thing, the reason that Lance stayed away so long was crazy!
A really good story of faith to know no matter what happens in your life God will come through. I saw this in Trudy and Lance’s story of a chance meeting that turned into so much more. This story had finding love. The story had intrigue, suspense and deception. But most of all, the story showed regardless to whatever happens,as long as you have faith in God all will work out for his good.
I read this book in the "Faith, Flaws & All series 2 years ago. Reading it a second time was just as refreshing as the first. Despite the obstacles that faced Trudy, God's Will prevailed. I don't want to give any spoiler alerts. I recommend reading the book (entire series for that matter). Be encouraged by what God does for those who love the Lord. Thank you, Taretha Jones. God has anointed you to bless us with your gift.
Beautiful story of how We go through situations in life and dont know how it will work out- but God always works it out for our good! I love Taretha's stories!!! She is an awesome writer!
Trudy had a loving family, a love for God and a nice career but she almost got caught up. Lance came into her life for a reason that only God knew but it saved then both.
I have read the author's work for a few years, the writing ✍🏾 gets better and better. I enjoy this series that uses some imperfections as humans perceive. With the emphasis on faith in God, the romance stories shine.
