I was hellbent on making them pay.
Instead, they bent and twisted me.

I am the golden child, the one who’s supposed to be perfect.
During the day I attend Spine Ridge University as my father wishes, but when darkness falls I put on my mask to hunt criminals and destroy them.

Until one night when I come face to face with three evil boys …
Kai, Nathan, and Milo from the Phantom Society. Secretive, violent, dirty guys who promise to expose my vigilante justice and put my dangerous side-job in the limelight.

They’ll show the world how savage I truly am … unless I let them have their way with me.
My body bartered for their silence … And I say yes.

They’re shameless in claiming me, not even my dignity is spared.
With their devious games they make me question my sanity.
Worst of all … I’m beginning to love every inch of their corruption.

Until it’s no longer just bodies against bodies, but four hearts beating in sync.
But if I’m really going to go down this path to hell …
I’m taking those devils with me.

Holy crap this book would melt the undies off a nun 🔥 🔥 🔥 it's that HOT!!
the author has nailed it perfectly, it's not full on too much smut, it's perfectly spaced out, and each interaction is fresh and not repeated.

These three boys and their Queen slowly crawled under my skin and claimed a small piece of my heart.

347637959-3559777050904944-5909358352875641431-n

I’m always chasing those unique reads and I found it in this, little twisty dark turns, and unpredictable never knowing what the author would throw my way chapter by chapter. This was a wild over the top read which was everything I could’ve wished for and more.

348612426-3560288417520474-7522674579462294762-n

I loved how our heroines darkness matched our hero’s, her need to run towards chaos, to wipe the earth from predators, a fighting, killing machine, throw in these three boys sitting beside her throne and she was a woman to be reckoned with.

356919122-3561715927377723-4166750657379935021-n

This ticked so many boxes and above it all was the three possessive boys who claimed her from the moment she set foot on campus.

The only reason why I am giving this book 2 stars is because the first half of the book had potential.

While reading it I started getting really bored of it. At the beginning the spicy scenes were interesting, they had a very mysterious atmosphere around them, but then they just became boring, nothing new, I didn't feel any emotion from the characters.

The story is not going deep into the character's background, at the end of the book we basically know nothing about them. Half of the characters have no personality, besides the fact that they like to have sex. The main feminine character is acting fake half of the time, like she's just a puppet, not showing any emotions for the entire story.

I feel like the idea of this book could've been interesting, but the execution is really bad. I didn't any see character development or any conflict fully solved.

I was quite excited for this book, but it left me disappointed.

Horrible. Very juvenile. It's like the author is trying for dark and disturbing but didn't research the simplest things.

The girl just "realizes" she's at a phantom society party and instead of leaving, she goes in.

Lana is like a little kid pretending to be a killer. It was very embarrassing. I kept kept second hand embarrassment for all the characters. I couldn't finish it.

SPOILERS AHEAD: i actually can’t believe this book has so many good ratings. the main character is an absolute moron and the smut scenes are so repetitive by the end of it i was just skimming them. you also never find out if they ever found her friend who got abducted with her because they just like immediately forget about her and start banging? she gets a nude video of herself with a dead body sent to the entire school and then just goes oops it was a joke and everyone’s just like oh okay np! also i never want to hear a ladies puss referred to as her “slit” ever again omg

"I was supposed to be the golden child. The perfect daughter my father raised so she could one day take over his business empire and continue the family legacy. But now all that dangles on a single red thread."

Lana Rivera is the perfect daughter. She is supposed to take over her father's empire.
But Lana Rivera has a dark secret.
By day, she is just a normal college student but when night falls, she puts on a mask, hunts criminals, and makes sure that justice is served.
Lana cannot have this secret get out.
So what happens when the Phantoms stumble upon her secret?
What will Kai, Milo, and Nathan do?
And what will Lana have to do to make sure her secret doesn't get out?

"She wants us to keep her violent secret and this filth to ourselves? We can, for a price."

She will do anything. But she will not go down without a fight.

"Because if I'm going to go down this path to hell… I'm taking those fuckers with me."

Felix warned Lana. He told her one specific thing.
To stay away from the Phantom Boys. But will the Phantom Boys stay away from her?

"Believe what you want, little kitty… it won't change the fact that you belong to us now."

💫4.75 stars💫

This book was everything I wanted from Lana's book.

When we met her in Sick Boys, I immediately said "Omg I need a mafia good girl princess book" and this book DELIVERED!!

"I've seen enough to know that I want you. The way you kill, the way you fight, the way you bleed… I want to own all of it."

Lana is acting like a vigilante by night. Killing child predators by catching them in the act and making sure justice is served. She is a goddamn badass and she will not go down without a fight which I love!!

"They think they can break me> Lana fucking Rivera? Over my dead fucking body."

Then we have Milo, Kai, and Nathan.
I thought I would not like them after what happened with Penelope and Sick Boys.
Now I am definitely not justifying what they did at all!!! But we do get a reason which I feel is very important.
And trust me their mouths make up for it a little…

"You belong to me, and you will learn to fucking take it like a good girl."

"Tell me, kitty, what does it take to make you scream?"

"Now straddle him and give him what he craves so badly… while I give you what you deserve."

Oh. Oh. I also made a playlist for this one:

I was so excited to dive into this one. The blurb sounded right up my alley. I love a good dark academia bully romance. It even gave me vibes of a dirtier version of Hanaford Prep. But sadly the excitement I had quickly dwindled the more I read. Considering this book is 500+ pages and I read more than half, there was absolutely zero character development...or much plot. I felt no connection to the characters or chemistry. And right around the 50% mark I found myself fully losing interest.

I'm all for suspending my disbelief but the things these characters. do is just ludicrous. It felt entirely formulaic with various plot devices thrown in with absolutely no build up or true development. The characters felt like caricatures of themselves. I have high hopes for my dark romance reads, but this read like shock value for the sake of shock value. Not my cuppa.

Over the top!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 🖤💙❤️
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗
World building: 🌏🌍🌎
Character development: 🙂🥰☺️
Narrator(s): 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration type: Dual Narration

The heroine: Lana - she is a mafia princess and the sister of Felix from the Skull & Serpent society (he was also in the previous book in this series). Lana is now attending Spine Ridge University. She is the perfect daughter and sister during the day, attending school and hanging out with friends. However, at night she tracks down men who prey on girls and women. She makes them pay for their crimes in a bloody and permanent way.

The Heroes: Kai, Nathan and Milo - They belong to the Phantom society and live in the best house on campus. They are calculating and dangerous men, though they owe money to someone powerful.
Nathan - he takes care of his sister; he has nightmares about the day the Feds came to take everything away. He grew up wealthy until his parents were put in jail for financial crimes and it was all gone in an instant. He is a sadist.
Kai - he lost one of his eyes and sees it as a disfigurement. He doesn’t think a woman like Lana would ever want him. He is the president of the Phantom society.
Milo - he is a masochist, and he swings both ways. He is very submissive and somewhat unsure of himself, not nearly as arrogant as Nathan or Kai.

The Story: One night after Lana tracks down a pedophile and kills him in his home, there is a break in and three guys in skull masks arrive. She hides in the dark while they talk about the fact that they were planning to do what she did. They are not too happy to find out that someone else got in their way. When Lana makes a noise, they give chase, but she escapes on her motorcycle leaving one of her hair ribbons behind. They plan to find her and make sure she doesn’t give away anything about them and that she doesn’t get in their way again.

The guys were deviant and depraved. They immediately want Lana and basically blackmail her into sexual situations. There is BDSM, spanking, knife play, blood play, MM action, stalker behavior and much more. There are plenty of super steamy scenes. I didn’t read the first two books in this series, so I was not quite sure what the societies were at Spine Ridge University. Though other than that, I didn’t think I missed anything from starting with this book. Amazon does have it as a standalone, so that was good. I sometimes hate the way many reverse harem books are 3 or 4 book series.

I occasionally find that a story tries too hard to be ultra violent and the characters are just a bit too bloodthirsty and/or too sexually deviant that it almost becomes a parody of what the story is trying to be. This was the case in this book. The characters are just trying too hard to be bad, criminal and sexually diverse that it is beyond the bounds of being believable. There is no way they would be able to commit so many murders without being caught, they don’t seem to take any countermeasures to keep from being caught, they spend too much time at the crime scenes and are just a bit too careless. The fact that they take time during a murder to get busy doesn’t help either. I think the author should have spent more time on the plot holes and less time on trying to have the characters being sexually freaky in every way possible. Also, I didn’t get why the guys were supposed to be so bad but were afraid of whomever Nathan owes money to. Why not just torture and/or kill them?

This audiobook was told in Multiple points of view via dual narration and was narrated by Corvin King and Desiree Ketchum. Corvin King has a deep, sexy voice and is great at dirty talk. I really liked him; he sounded so natural and was good at using different voices for different characters. I will definitely be looking for other books he has narrated. Desiree was pretty good also. She has a nice voice and has a great tone and tempo. Her male voice isn’t bad either.

You know those cheesey old school pornos? ("Oh no, I have no money to pay for this pizza I ordered, can I pay another way?" *Wink*). This book is literally a darker version of that ("Oh no, you caught me killing the guy you were going to kill? Guess I'll buy your silence with my body"). So it's a forced plot with unrealistic characters and a LOT of smut.

And, hey, sometimes you just want to read porn. Nothing wrong with that; except for the fact that this book is 506 pages. WHY!? That's almost the length of Fourth Wing! This story could easily be condensed to 200 pages and it'd be a lovely dark romance novella. Like a spicy hallmark movie. Unfortunately, the characters are stuck on the same issue regardless of what happened in previous chapters so there's a ton of repetition. Almost like the same plot point was rewritten multiple times and the author couldn't decide which version to put in the book so she just threw them all in. Actually, I'm 100% convinced that's what happened.

Also, the phrase "home in on" is used in nearly every chapter. Mostly incorrectly since it means "to locate and move towards". But since the characters are just focusing on something or someone the context warrants the phrase "hone in on" (hone, not home). Yes, that's extremely nitpicky but, like I said, the book is VERY repetitive so these things get annoying after the tenth or twelfth time.

HOOOLLLYYY SHIT. I thought I was in for some hot, smutty times based on a TT I saw. But this was so fucking cringe I had to stop. The dialogue was juvenile, the "frat" names were stupid
(Phantom Society, Tartarus, and Skull & Serpent Society - get absolutely fucked, those are such stupid names), and the inner monologues were so dramatic. I get it's a fictional world with a fictional university.... but it's so dramatic I felt like I needed to have acne and braces in order to relate to these characters.

First of all, Clarissa, I want my time back, second of all, what the hell. I saw this on book tok and was interested as I like dark romance stories, but this was just so all over the place. I liked the beginning part just for the spice, but even then, that got repetitive. Lana is so "not like other girls. You're right! She's even more annoying! There were so many points where I thought the book would end, but it just kept going and not in a good way. Also, I guess Crystal's just dead??? Like she got Takened like the movie Taken and they just start banging about it?? WHICH ALSO HOW DO YOU ACCIDENTALLY SEND AND EMAIL OF YOUR FRIENDS NUDE TO THE WHOLE SCHOOL?? HAVE YOU USED EMAIL BEFORE? ARENT YOU IN
COLLEGE???
Also side note why does Nathan mention his parents being in jail like it's the equivalent of them being in hell? It's jail?? Which based on their actions, they kind of deserve to be there??? He's like, you wouldn't understand.... my parents.. are in jail😔... and Lana's like omg poor bb let me suck your dick about it I guess🥺. ITS JAIL???

And don't even get me started on Milo "liking pain so much he gets a hard on from being punched" THATS NOT HOW THAT WORKS.

I know I'm in the minority here, but I couldn't finish this book. Sure, the spice ratings were one of the reasons I added this to my Kindle, but I felt like there was no plot. It felt really disconnected, like we're just throwing trends at the wall to see what sticks, and repetitive. I got bored very quickly.

I’m sorry but this was so corny literally just smut for the sake of smut which sometimes it’s okay but god this book sucked

I felt no connection whatsoever between the main characters. Everything felt rushed and no true emotional development at all. I’ve read other books in the dark romance category that at least had a plot that made sense but I was just left feeling like I read a fanfic where I was expected to know more about the characters than I did. I do know this is a “sequel” of sorts but still was just a waste of time. If you’re looking for smut, read it I guess but there are better options out there. (Also it was a long book too so there really isn’t any excuse for the lack of plot??!!!!)

Evil-Boys-by-Clarissa-Wild-5

Lana is keeping a dark secret.

When everyone else is asleep, she sneaks out looking for predators and turns them into her prey. Until three masked boys discover her secret and hold it against her. Forced into making a deal to keep her secret, she gives the three evil boys her body. They are depraved, twisted and evil. A part of her enjoys it, but the other part hates it. Will these three boys keep her secret or will everything she worked for get ruined the same way they ruined her?

Her brother warned her to stay away from the Phantom boys, and now she paid the price. She was determined to find a way out of this mess without her secret being revealed.

Evil-Boys-by-Clarissa-Wild-4

This dark romance is the second book in the Spine Ridge University Series. It tells the story of Lana, Felix’s sister, and the three evil boys: Kai, Nathan, and Milo. The Phantom Boys, her brother, warned her to stay away from. It’s a reverse harem bully romance with BDSM and violence. Lana soon finds herself pulled into a world of danger, desire, and submission. As secrets are revealed, Lana must decide who to trust. Will she survive the Phantom Boys, or will they take her heart along with everything she has to give?

Evil-Boys-by-Clarissa-Wild-2

There are a few reasons I’m giving this one 3.5 (I’ll put 4 here because I still have mixed feelings about it). I can’t give it more than that. Throughout reading this one, I kept comparing it to Sick Boys, and it felt somehow similar but also quite different. I think I liked Sick Boys more because of its plot. This didn’t really grab me as the first book in this series did.

Evil-Boys-by-Clarissa-Wild-3

They keep saying they’re not dealing with an immature killer. However, she’s out there walking everywhere with the same red ribbon in her hair like a huge flag saying “Hey, it’s me. I’m right here.” Also, how can she not put two and two together? They were as stupid about it as she was wearing these white masks. How she mistook Kai for Jason is ridiculous and the girl claims she’s a trained killer.

Evil-Boys-by-Clarissa-Wild-1

I have to say this one left me with mixed feelings. I liked how viscous Lana is and how she can handle herself. But when it came to the three evil boys, she couldn’t escape. They each kept saying Phantoms stick together, yet when it came to Lana, they did everything separately and almost ruined each other’s efforts. However, that made me keep reading to see how they worked it out.

It’s a dark and twisted book with many steamy scenes. The plot kept me reading, waiting, and wanting to see what was next. Some of it was predictable, but it worked out for this book.

I have decided this series isn't for me. I thought the first book was just meh, and I had some issues. This one was no different. There are a couple of hundred pages that just felt like a constant repeat. Or words that were so repetitive, you just wanted to scream. Pussy is one of those words. I swear it was on one page 5 times. When you hear the same word multiple times within the same paragraph, there's a problem. Find a different word.

I hate leaving series open-ended, but after reviewing the ratings, it seems I'm not the only one who has had enough. Book 3 has 10,000+/- less ratings (12,762) than this one (22,580). And then another 8,000+/- drop off for book 4 (4,955). So yeah, I'm going to walk away cause I feel like these books aren't going to get better with time.
