Feara is a Black indie author and illustrator, passionately pursuing writing. For countless years Feara has suffered with social anxiety. In an effort to alleviate this anxiety, she immersed herself in the world of theatre, writing, and art, and although she has triumphed over major challenges, she still confronts it to this day.
Feara's name is a result of the alter ego character she crafted at the age of 9 in order to embody the antithesis of her own self; a fearless, strong, and enduring character. She uses this alter ego to empower her to work through her fear of failure and disappointment, thus the name ‘Feara’.
She considers her childhood in Japan after living there for a while as a child and gets inspiration from it. She wishes to see more representation of Black and Asian characters as the main characters in various genres.
Though it started off as a hobby, Feara enjoys writing and wants at least one person in the world to enjoy her stories.
