an amazing collection of poems about war to the "general observations about war" arranged from the wars of ancient times to WWII and after by poets to those fighting in the wars.

found many recognizable poems and some new ones by poets unknown to me.

a great little book of "pocket poets".

what i like about poetry books is that the reader is never required to just sit and read all of the poems...i didn't. i took breaks for days before deciding to read "just one more".

A wonderful selection of war related poems written (and translated) down through the ages. This includes such classics as The Charge of the Light Brigade and In Flanders Field.
