ARC review. This was my 1st Mandy Muse book, and I can't wait to read more. I was hooked from the jump. This was also my 1st MFM book.
Loved Dev so much. He was just the right fit for Darcy. He cared so much for her but also didn't push her, which was great.
Evan was a good balance to the group. I would have loved to see him and Darcy talk a bit more about their past together.
Giovanni.... shook!!! Literally gasped.
Epilouge gave such a great glimpse into their future.

Oh my.. this is one of my favorite books I have read this year! This was such a good mfm relationship and the storyline was so interesting throughout the entire book!
I was so frustrated between Evan and Darcy! I wanted to sm@ck them both and tell them to actually talk to each other instead of ignoring each other for the the first half!
Devlin, god that man sounds so sexy! Bad boy with tattoos, he’s a mechanic, but also the mafia son.. He has so much immediate chemistry with Darcy and you know they are going to hook up from their first interaction.
This book holds your attention and is an emotional roller coaster. It’s compelling, suspenseful and so hot! I highly recommend reading this! You won’t be disappointed!

ARC Review
I highly suggest you read the Breathe Duet and also Sharp Love before you read this.
It was awesome to see the working of the fighting and see what Callum had to go through. I was confused at the end so I read Sharp Love and it made so much sense. The writing is really good and the spice level is about 4.
Candy is a bitch. That speaks for its self. She got what she deserved.
Dev is such a sweetheart. He deserved so much. His dad is fucked. But that didn’t stop him from being amazing.
Even tried so hard to make things easy for everyone while he seemed to be slowly drowning.
Lucio is a fucking nut job.
Darcy is amazing and so broken. Her and Mary are great. I’m so happy she had her when her shit parents left. She deserves the world and she is getting it.
Overall I loved it I didn’t see something’s coming and that surprised me because normally I can predict what’s going to happen. It made me laugh and at one point I literally cried I also got overly pissed of at certain things. I just could not believe what I had read at two different points. (When you get there you will understand).

This was a roller coaster of a read from the the emotional highs and lows as well as the twists and turns I didn’t see coming. This is technically a stand alone however I do believe that having read the Breathe duet was helpful especially when it came to character references. The storyline for The Air You Breathe is intertwined with the Breathe duet.
This was an easy and fast read as it takes place in a small town where everyone is fighting to protect family(biological or chosen) at at any length. The MFM sexual tension does not disappoint at all!
This is the third book I have ready by this same author and I will continue to read her writing.

I was given a ARC of this book , this is my second Book that I have read of Author Mandy Muse it was 4 stars for me . This story is a Why chose MFM it is a standalone the main characters are Devlin, Evan and Darcy. This is story does contain Mafia and MFM , there are some very Hot sex scenes and some underground fighting. I enjoyed reading the book because the author kept a little bit of suspense in the book. Thank you Mandy Muse for allowing me to read this ARC

Everything about her writing always has me hooked & needing a cold shower! I love me a good why choose romance & this one was it. Add in some Mafia & second chance? Yes, please! Darcy, Evan, & Dev - Told from all three characters. Only thing in my opinion that was missing is more of Evan & Darcy’ back history. I wish it was talked about it for closure, mostly for me, I guess. But I still love how it turned out and it all came together in the end. I was living for those spicy scenes 🥵 Mandy does not disappoint in that department. Would I recommend this book, yes I would! Would I recommend this author, ABSOLUTELY!

ARC review The Air You Breathe by Mandy Muse
This book bounces between 3 different POVs: Darcy, Evan, and Dev
The book begins with Evan deciding to end his relationship with Darcy to keep her safe from the new dangerous lifestyle he has found himself involved in.
Fast forward 3 years later, where Darcy runs into Evan at a bar with her friends. She is extremely stand off-ish due to their past and the way Evan ended things, but they end up having a little rendezvous in the car that Darcy immediately regrets and decides to ignore Evan and any attempt he has to reconnect with her.
During this time, we meet Dev, who is one of Evans' good friends and the son of the king pin mafia guy Lucio that Evan is twisted up with. Darcy takes her car to get fixed by Dev, and they start a friendship that eventually turns into them both flirting back and forth.
Flash forward to Evan, and he is dealing with issues in the fighting ring and with some of the dealings Lucio wants to get involved in and begins trying to put a stop to it. This puts a target on Evans back and has Lucio going after Darcy since he finds out about her and what she means to Evan. Together, Evan and Dev try to hide her and keep her safe from Lucio.
Overall, I would rate this story a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and

I do think the pacing of the story could use some work, and the writing took me out a few times, but overall, I enjoyed the read and meeting the characters. If I had to change anything, I would wish there had been more interaction between Evan and Darcy, and at times, the relationship between Darcy and Dev seemed forced.

Minor spoilers for Just Breathe and Reasons to Breathe.
The Air You Breathe is a stand alone book in Mandy Muse’s Breathe Series. While you don’t necessarily need to read Just Breathe and Reasons to Breathe, I do recommend it. The Air You Breathe takes place within their story lines. You get more background of Darcey’s relationship with Jane and also Dev and Evans relationship with Aiden, Nathan, and Cal.
I really enjoyed reading The Air You Breathe!! Mandy already created the world in the first to Breathe books and this expands on it. We dig deeper into Mountain View’s shady underground that we were introduced to in the first two books in the Breathe series.
The story revolves around Darcey, who we meet in the first two books, and digs deeper into her past and her relationship with Evan. Mandy throws a delicious wrench into the story with Dev. The relationship between the three of them develops in the middle of a huge shake up at the club where Evan works and outs all their lives at risk.
The spicy scenes are excellent! The story does gloss over any part of the story m that involves the first two books in the series which conflicts with it being a standalone. I felt like you needed more of Darcy, Evan, or Dev’s POV. I also sometimes felt I was being told about the characters feelings more than being shown.
Otherwise it’s a good story, and you get a sweet epilogue with guest appearance from everyone i. The Breathe series and from the characters from Sharp Love. I was happy to get an ARC of the book!

I had the honor of receiving an ARC for The Air You Breathe!

I devoured The Air You Breathe! The why choose troupe is one of my favorites! Why have one boyfriend when you can have two! This is also a second chance romance! Mandy did not disappoint with this one!
In the start of the book, Evan breaks up with Darcy to protect her from the dangerous life that he is leading working for a crime organization . Fast forward 3 years, he spots her a nightclub and the feelings that he has for her come flooding back. Evan does everything in his power to win her back. I love everything about Evan! I really loved how he was willing to do anything to prove his love for her. I loved how he told her he loved her but only wanted her to say it back when he prove himself to her.
Darcy is amazing! I love her sass and how she is ride or die for both Evan and Dev. Darcy was broken in the beginning and I really believe that Dev brought her out of her slump and helped her love again! I'm happy that Darcy had Mary to rely on! I loved Mary!
Don't get me started on Dev! Dev is every girls wet dream! He cooks, he cleans, he listen to smutty audiobooks! That man's dirty talk is out of this world! Darcy and Dev were made for each other! I loved that Dev was fine bringing Evan into their relationship and becoming a family! The spice between the three of them were unmatched! It was so hot!
This book definitely left me in my feels and I may have cried at the end! All happy tears of course! I loved seeing characters from other books in the bonus epilogue! I loved all of the twists and turns!

I received this as an ARC and I really wanted to give this 5 stars but I just couldn't. I wish it would allow for half stars I would have given it a 4.5. I loved the story and the three main characters. Darcy was a very likeable and relatable character. Even had his moments where I liked him but also moments where I was not a fan. Dev was just absolutely perfect.
There are a few things that made the story lose points for me. The first 2-3 chapters seemed to be very slow. I found myself thinking "can we just get on with it" after that I thought the pacing was better. In one of the chapters the words "my ma" were in almost every sentence for a at least a whole paragraph or two and that really irked me. I found myself cringing when it was said.
I know there are two other books with these characters but it's also supposed to be a stand-alone. I felt there were many things that you wouldn't really understand unless you've read the other books. With it being a stand alone as well I feel there should have been a little bit more introduction or backstory for some of the characters. Something small that could have been both a refresher for those who've read the others and an introduction for those of us new to the story would have been enough.

The Air You Breathe is the third installment in the Breathe series, but can be read as a stand alone novel. There is a lot of character crossover between all the books which can cause some spoilers to occur. In this novel we meet Evan, Darcy and Devlin. Darcy has a past with Evan that she has not moved on from regardless of three years and tons of heartache happening. Devlin is the HOT mechanic that comes into Darcy's work occasionally and has definitely caught her eye!
Mandy Muse is a master at writing characters that belong together! Evan is a man with a plan, serious, controlled and dominant. Devlin is younger, romantic, calming, yet fiercely protective. Darcy is a hard working, sweet and semi-innocent women who needs a plan, protection and attention. I loved how the three main character's story unfolds. There is some suspense with the mafia aspect of the story (though I wouldn't consider this a mafia romance). Included are some very big twists that had my jaw dropping more than once! There is a decent amount of spice, once you get through the slow burn romantic chase of the first half of the book. This was definitely a slower moving, and slower read than some of the other books from Mandy Muse, however that did not take away from the sweet and spicy story!
I recommend this book to all Why Choose readers, Contemporary Romance readers and any one who wants a good book to read.

This is my first Mandy Muse book I’ve read and I was not disappointed. I’ve learned that there’s a breathe duet set in the same world and I haven’t read it yet but I do think it would’ve helped me appreciate some of the characters more. I’ll definitely be checking them out soon!
Darcy and Evan have a past and Evan decided to save Darcy from his dangerous activities he’d make that choice for then both of them and end things all together. Fast forward 3 years and Darcy sees Evan again and things get going. I was worried from the synopsis when the third player was going to come in but then we finally meet Dev! I think both guys were needed to balance each other out in the end and I’m glad Darcy didn’t have to choose. In my opinion Evan should’ve groveled a bit more but I love their relationship in the end. I was a little surprised the town was described as being small but then there was such a big mafia presence? I guess I just associate mafia with big cities but maybe it was explained more in the other books I haven’t read!
I laughed, got teary eyed and felt betrayed all in this book and can’t believe that ending! Never saw it coming and I love being surprised like that. Would definitely recommend!

A rollercoaster read!
This book takes place in Mountain View, a small town that readers of the "Just Breathe" duet will be very well acquainted with. Although it is not strictly necessary to have read the duet, I highly recommend doing so because the main the characters in this story are side characters in the duet and a relationship between character and reader will already be established. (I also recommend reading Sharp Love as there may be a familiar face or two!)
This is a great read, filled with wonderful characters. The characters each find comfort from their past pain through their relationship and they grow in the strength of it.
This story includes some friend-to-lovers, second-chance romance, mafia and heroine in danger tropes.
This is a MFM romance, where sharing is caring. Both MMC's are alpharolls over the FMC, and she is fiercely protective and sassy about her men.
The story is filled with tension, suspense, danger, excitement and twists! It's one of those reads that is impossible to put down. There are also so many fun Easter eggs for future books that already have the excitement building.

The Air you Breathe by Mandy Muse is the first I’ve read by this author. This book is a why choose romance meaning the female character is with more than one person. If that’s not your cup of tea, this isn’t the novel for you. If it is your brand then welcome to the steamy cup that this book is…also always remember to check trigger warnings. Better to be safe then sorry. ⚠️👍😎
Time to get into this, I quite enjoyed reading this! It was a compelling story of heartbreak, finding oneself, learning it’s ok to go for what you want. This book is told in the three perspectives of Darcy, Evan and Devlin. (My personal favorite of the three is Devlin. 😉😉) There’s fighting, there’s protection and there’s a mafia element. It’s fairly straightforward read (not a bad thing) I personally finished it in one sitting but that’s me. But I did absolutely love the epilogue. It was great to see everything that’s happened in the future.
My final rating is 4.5 stars and on the spicy scale about a 3 🌶️🌶️🌶️.
Time to get into this, I quite enjoyed reading this! It was a compelling story of heartbreak, finding oneself, learning it’s ok to go for what you want. This book is told in the three perspectives of Darcy, Evan and Devlin. (My personal favorite of the three is Devlin. 😉😉) There’s fighting, there’s protection and there’s a mafia element. It’s fairly straightforward read (not a bad thing) I personally finished it in one sitting but that’s me. But I did absolutely love the epilogue. It was great to see everything that’s happened in the future.
My final rating is 4.5 stars and on the spicy scale about a 3 🌶️🌶️🌶️.

The Air You Breathe by Mandy Muse is my second book from Mandy Muse that had me on my toes. We all know becoming an avid reader means you start to be able to anticipate what is going to happen, but not with this novel. This book had me guessing what would happen, and this doesn't often happen anymore.
The Air You Breathe is a second-chance romance with a why-choose flair. Darcy has stayed in Love with Evan since they broke up three years ago, and it isn't until she starts things with Dev that Darcy thinks she can be happy again. When something happens to Evan, they all realize what is at stake and are willing to do anything to have their happily ever after.
I was enthralled with this story from start to finish and loved their communication style and willingness to work through problems healthily so refreshing after reading Darker Romances. Mandy Muse has a way of creating a world with darkness and danger built in but with partners who understand the importance of patients and understanding.

This is a great standalone but I highly recommend reading the breathe duet first since you get a lot of info from the duet.
Evan broke up with Darcy to keep her safe and away from the messy life he got himself into, but he still loves her fiercely.
Dev is unfortunately the son to a horrible man that he hates and will do anything to protect his little sister, whom he loves so much.
Darcy had been basically running the coffee shop with Mary for a while and one day she starts seeing Dev with different eyes when he comes around more often.
Dev and Evan are friends and one day when things are starting to go south Evan asks Dev to help him keep Darcy safe without knowing that Dev is starting to want Darcy for himself.
The way that this two men go all in to give Darcy the best orgasms is freaking hot, she gets worshipped like every woman in this planet should.

Why Choose, MFM, Second chance romance, & broody, mysterious, romantic men… SIGN ME UP!!
I absolutely adored this book! It revolves around the Darcy, Dev, and Evan relationship who we meet in The Breathe Duet and I think adding the extra uniqueness of these characters into the world was just a wonderful fit! I definitely say though that reading “The Breathe Duet” first is a must because you are able to meet the characters there and learn about the start of their dynamics relationship! I personally think just jumping straight into this one kinda doesn’t clarify enough other characters like Lucio, Jane, and her boys but overall it was still such a fun and engaging read. Dev is an absolute SWEETHEART and Evan is just such a serious protector ugh!
PS the end of chapter 23 made my tummy DROP

This was my first book by Mandy Muse, I freaking loved it. I felt the pacing could of been slowed down an bit. It felt to fast at times. This book made me cry, laugh, and gave me anxiety at times and others I was like looking at my husband 👀👀 overall I loved this book, the plot was so well thought out and the plot twists got me so excited to read more from Mandy. I loved the ending and the justice that was served and finding out about Giovani. The
were also so good! I loved seeing into their lives and meeting all the new family members and friends. I do wish I had read her other books from this collection so I could of had a better understanding of the other characters that are established more than the ones we are focused on in this story. This is Darcy’s, Dev’s, and Evan’s story! It is consider a stand alone, but I recommend reading the other books before this one. You get a better picture of everything and will just love Darcy before reading this book! Oh holy tattoo HOTNESS! These men are EVERYTHING! I can say I love Dev more and he has joined my book boyfriend’s, and I guess Evan too! I can’t leave him out lol If this author keeps on writing these type of men, I don’t know if I’ll be able to keep them all straight haha All seriousness now this book had me on edge in a chokehold that I was gasping with all the twists! It made me love Darcy even more and fall for them all! It’s definitely a must read if you love MFM! Seriously READ IT! Can’t wait to read more by this author, love her writing style!

Well damn. The Air You Breathe took my air right from me. This why choose mafia romance had me right from the start.
Evan and Darcy were the IT couple. They were like fated mates. But when Evan needs to help support his family and get his sister the help she needs he enlists the help from the mafia boss Lucio. In doing so he must also protect his loved ones, so he breaks things off with Darcy ending in heart break for both of them.
Now it's 3 years later and out of the blue Darcy sees Evan again and all those thoughts, pain and emotions coming flooding back. But the hot mechanic, Devlin has also caught her eye and the chemistry is explosive. He tries so hard to be the perfect gentleman for her but you can only be polite for so long. She's stuck between her one true love Evan, someone who she's never gotten over and Dev, the kind, sweet and charming tattoo guy whose love snuck up right on her. But its okay to love them both? Right?

This is my honest review of the ARC I received.
This is a standalone, but the characters are interconnected with another series, so be prepared that there isn't much backstory to the characters shown here. I have read so many mafia romances, and while this story isn't bad by no means, I had a hard time getting through it, I think it's mostly because I didn't like how it was narrated in the sense of her attraction to Dev, I understood the past with Evan but some of the way the scenes between her and Dev were written were poorly described and felt rushed I didnt feel the true attraction. I will go back and read the other stories, but I felt like it could have been better described in parts.

There are spicy scenes that my husband definitely reaped the benefit from. There is a sassy baker who you will wish was your mom.
This book was the perfect combination of sweet and smiley to dark and dirty. Definitely recommend.

Absolutely loved this book.
Dev is literally perfection. He cooks, reads romance books, and is absolutely genuine in his love and passion for Darcy. The friendship he has with Ev. Evan's one goal in life is to protect Darcy and his family. Even at his own expense. But even he can't fight his love for her, or her love for him.
Darcy is a freaking trooper, handling everything that's thrown at her in stride. I love her sass and determination is written so beautifully and perfectly.
10/10 recommend reading this (It's not needed, but you should totally read the Breathe Duet first but The Air You Breathe can be read as a standalone)

Oh-Em-Geeeee! I am in love with this book. I could not stop reading it for the life of me. This was a MFM mafia romance and when I say this book was 🌶️🌶️🌶️I’m not joking. In the best way tho. The story was so so good. All the main characters were so likable. The smut was a whole level but it was straight passion and honestly made u feel like u were there🤣🫣. This book has EVERYTHING I want in a book. Element of mystery, passionate romance, incredible storylines, gasp moments, laughable moments, and numerousy POV. If u want a book you can’t put down (in my opinion) go grab this book! It is the second of a duet series but can be read as a stand alone…or get the first book “Just Breathe”🥰

This book kept me on the edge of my seat with all the action, but gave me all the cozy vibes with the romance as the book went on. Mandy will rip your heart out but stitch you back together again.
Darcy, Evan, and Dev have my heart. The amount of action, detailed complications, and turmoil coming from the underground fighting/mafia aspect in this book kept me on the edge of my seat. I loved the depth of the relationships between each character but also between their friends. Mary and Darcy's friendship had me laughing out loud through the whole book. Dev and Evan both are so protective but both very different that it is the best combination for Darcy. The steamy/spicy scenes were perfection with a slow burn beginning.
I loved the peek at her previous characters from other books. The plot twists and turns will surprise readers, but one slapped me upside the head. I was so shocked. Mandy hooked me again with The Air You Breathe, and I cant wait to read more of her books.

This is the first book by Mandy Muse I’ve ever read and it didn’t disappoint. It’s a multi POV. So it does do some bouncing but i didn’t mind that. The book starts with Evan and Darcy in college and in love. Evan out of the blue decides that he’s all done with their relationship, it’s for a good reason but he doesn’t trust her with that info. Fast forward three years and Darcy runs into Evan one night at a bar. They steam up his car windows then he seems to disappear again. Then there’s Dev that makesDarcy thinks things she doesn’t think she should. I’m glad Darcy got her Men in the end and her HEA.

This is the first book I've read by this author and the first MFM book as well. I wasn't sure what to expect. I love how each characters story line and feelings develop. Slowly merging together to create an impressive love triangle relationship. The love triangle that these characters have is so loving, and caring. They really make it work. I thought at times there would be issues but they worked through it. Some of the scenes took me by surprise, but also peaked my interest. This story line was definitely a page turner. The drama and romance is all there. This is an author I will be looking into more!

Ok i struggle with second chance. Especially if it’s a miscommunication issue. This was not that for me. Add in the MFM relationship…. Chefs kiss. This is the second of the authors books I have read and I loved it. I fall very easy in the the writing style. There is so much behind each character but it’s not a slow drawn out detail dump. You get pieces that make a beautiful puzzle by the end. I love the three MC’s immediately. Not o my were they well written but each one gave something different to the story. Also to go along with the main characters were the side characters like Mary and Jane (and the boys). It was just a great boot. I cannot wait to read more.

Darcy, Evan and Dev!!! Well hello MFM!! It's in the same universe as the breathe duet and this definitely does not disappoint!! I love Darcy so much she is sweet and sexy and is so in love with Evan, who got reasons revealed in the book ,stays away from her to keep her safe. Enter Dev , the man is fine!!! He is smitten by Darcy , and her comes in the throuple! Add in some dark themes and this book is just fire. Loved everything this book brings out. Definitely a comfort read! Mandy I love you and this book!!
