NO!!! Well hell!!
What can I say about this book without giving away too much. I am emotionally drained and exhausted from all the turmoil that has been inflicted on my poor unsuspected heart. How could you Debbie.....and I think I don't need to say it for the author to know what I mean. Debbie giveth and she taketh away. . .that is all I am going to say about it. Do you want to know what I love the most about this book. We are four books in by now so there is no need for unnecessary explanation. We know these characters so the easy page turner POVs are beautifully done. Straight to the point just like I like it. SIN!! I am so proud of Nyx....stay strong in your confictions. You know your worth!! I am still process but this book, that ending. Phew. I can't wait for the big finish because it is going to be epic.

I have to admit that quite often I don't really have the attention span for series consisting of more than four books. The series must be really good to keep me interested. The characters have to have gotten a place in my heart. However, this series hasn't been boring for one moment and it feels like there's still so much needing to be solved. I was therefore very excited when my arc for this fifth, and pre-last, book in the series arrived in my e-mail.

What I especially loved about this installment is that so many characters are getting their own stories and quests and journeys. Our Satan's siblings are outgrowing the secondary character role and are growing into main characters of their own. It means that as a reader you have to keep track of quite a few storylines, but it's absolutely worth it to see all those characters grow and learn and discover their own unique talents.

It's also clear that the story is getting nearer and nearer to the big finale. More and more storylines are entwining. More and more characters are being unmasked. Lies are being discovered and ugly secrets are being revealed. We know what the endgame is, what characters are trying to make happen or trying to prevent. It's now a matter of waiting and watching which side of the conflict will eventually win.

Since there are loads of reveals in this book it also means that the romance gets a little messed up at times and surprisingly enough I find it kinda refreshing instead of annoying. I like it that the romance in this book isn't invincible. Characters can disappoint, characters can break hearts, characters can turn out to be not who we thought they are. I'm really excited to discover who will eventually end up as consorts to the current Satan.

That is, if she manages to stay on her throne. We will have to wait and see.

I am ABSOLUTELY in love with this series. It's a banger and I hope that I find more such in the future.

Zepar😭😭you bitch. I sympathize with him but he's still a bitch. His daddy issues could have turned into a better person but no. Look what he chose to do. As a person with daddy issues, the last thing I wanna do is be God. I mean I'm f'd up. Wouldn't want the world to be run by someone like me.

The number or povs in this book was sometimes annoying sometimes appreciated. It helped to bring the whole story together. Sin's pov still doesn't make him any better.

Good ON NYX FOR STANDING UP TO HIM. ABOUT TIME SHE STOPPED THINKING WITH HER PUSSY CUZ DAMN. Didn't mean to type all that in caps but I'm lazy.
But the point still stands. Finally she's grown some ovaries. Good job Nyx.
Imma read the next book tomorrow, hopefully????. I kinda don't want it to end so I dunno. I might start it today.

Honestly I love how it begins with a recap of what's happened so far in the series.
This one surprised me pretty good.
I mean you spend the first 4 books thinking this guy is definitely going to be a part of the Harem and nope...he's bananas. I did not see that coming. Normally plot twists do bot shock me but this one did.
It was bittersweet getting to find out more about Loke and unravel that mystery.
This story has been quite adventurous already but in this one you can see everything lining up for the finale in the next book. Although some things do come to an end in this one.

This series is still a complete 5/5 stars for me and continues to be.
There are a couple spicy scenes but the whole series is very plot heavy.

This one was a disappointment in terms of what happens

What happens to Nyx here is a disappointment. This is not as happy of a book as I’d have liked it to have been. Zepar….I can’t believe he did and orchestrated a lot of this. I don’t understand why. How could he have been so twisted and how did we not see it? Were there clues? I don’t know. I’m disappointed in how the plot is turning out I feel like Sin or Nyx is going to die or something I have no idea how this is going to shake out. I dislike that Sin can’t even show an ounce of kindness or love toward Nyx and I suspect it’ll be too late if he ever does. All the things she goes through in this book suck, the things with Loke also suck. I hope things piece together and make sense.

Debbie Cassidy in only one of the few authors whose stories keep making me obsessed over and over again. And this book was no exception! Am I happy there is another book after this? Yes. Am I happy that there is only one more book after Demon Wrath? Definitely no. How can everything be solved in just one book?

Satan's killer is on the loose and Nyx is on a race against time to save everyone and herself. Although she's no damsel in distress, she can count on a newly found family (the siblings relationship has improved a lot compared to book 1) and an array of men who would kill for her.

I can't wait for the last book to be released.

Things just keep getting more complicated for Nyx and her men. She is on the hunt for a betrayer but they are not the only one. Soo many changes and twists in this book. Shocked by the reasons behind it all. Can't wait to see how it is all wrapped up in the end

Nyx, Nyx, Nyx…. I don’t know if I want to cry for her or just cheer her on. How about both? This girl has not only been through everything, she IS everything – and things are quickly coming to a head.

With 5 books out, one would think that things might be dragging on a bit, but giving this setting these many books is allowing the characters time to breathe and grow – ALL of the characters. The siblings, arguably some of the best side characters Debbie has penned, are coming into their own, solidifying as characters in their own right, with fully fleshed motivations, aspirations and backstories. Normally, with this kind of tale, you don’t have that space to let them all spread out, but Debbie and Nyx both are kind(ish) and the focus shifts just enough to intrigue while not taking away from the main storyline.

As for that main storyline? UGH! Can I wax on about Nyx again? Crimminie… what’s a girl got to do? Romantic interests take a beating and far too many questions are raised, along with doubts for both us and Nyx. Yet, oddly enough, even though this is a Reverse Harem and normally I am all about the romantic line in Debbie’s books, that plot takes a back seat to the THRONE.

I have been confused about the difference between demons and daimons the entire series. Now there are even more types/groups introduced.

Mageri- Are they just humans that can do magic?
Mara- described as nightmare creatures but do they have a horse form and if they do, does that make them horse shifters??
Daimons- ???
Demons- ????
Conji- Have feathers
Djinn- Aladdinish powers?? But what do they really look like? Do they look human?
Fallen- Fallen angels
Oneri- angel blessed but what does that mean? Does she look human?
All the fae creatures in Morningstar such as Pixies, Brownies, Minotaur. Are the fae creatures separate from demons or daimons?

Really 3 star

I'm gifting the extra star, because really it's me... . I'm kinda done with this series now, but it hasn't ended yet, and so every new twist or addition to the tale is just making me sigh and roll my eyes. I'll likely read the next book, as long as it is actually the last book...
I'm going to stick to trilogies for a bit in the meantime!

At the end of Demon Reign, they crowned Nyx as the new Satan. Once crowned, she had to face one final trial. Satan’s throne had to determine that she was truly worthy. Of course, she was. Once she took the throne, she got to meet Theo. Theo is the sentient power of Satan’s throne. No one else knows about Theo, so Nyx has to keep her a secret. The best part about Theo is that she can identify who killed Satan. Nyx and Theo could bring Satan’s murderer to justice, and Nyx just had to wait for Theo to recognize the person. Unfortunately, Theo doesn’t recognize Zepar in time to keep Nyx from being poisoned. He didn’t kill her. He just needed her heart to slow enough to steal the amulet she was supposed to protect. Zepar had learned from his last mistake. As soon as Satan had died, the amulet he wanted returned to the source. He poisoned her to within an inch of her life so that he could steal it.
Theo helps burn the poison out of Nyx. It wouldn’t have killed her, but it would have taken a bit longer to wear off. The source is pissed. The amulet that Nyx was supposed to protect is part of a lock to the Shadow Prison in Tarrifel. Now, Nyx has to find Loke and bring him back to the source because he is the key to the lock. While on her journey to find Loke and bring him to the source, Theo offers herself to Nyx’s siblings to help them while she’s away. Nyx has her mission, and so do her siblings. Will Nyx find Loke in time to stop Zepar from using him to open the prison? Will the others be able to handle whatever happens in Morningstar while she’s gone?
I think this book was even more suspenseful than the others. I’m a little ashamed that I didn’t see Zepar’s betrayal coming. Who would after he gave up a wing to save her? I love Theo. Her ability to communicate was a great idea on Cassidy’s part. I enjoy how she changes perspectives frequently, but it can be hard to keep up with. I love knowing what’s going on everywhere, though.
One more book to go! I can’t wait to see how everything is resolved.

OMG!!! Love love love this!

Wow… this series just keeps getting better and better, and the action, intrigue, and romance are ramping up! This book picks up right from the previous book where Zepar has drugged Nyx and taken the amulet. Thankfully it was just a toxin that made her immobile and slowed her heart, which is how he took the amulet, and she is able to free herself from it with the help of the Seats Power. But Zepar is on the run now, so she goes to the source who tells her that it is the lock and she must go get Loke who is the key. Except when she gets to Tarrifel she makes a grave mistake and ends up there way too long making it easy for Zepar to find them. That part about broke my heart… seriously. I had hope that Zepar was being controlled, but he wasn’t. And what he did to Loke made my heart weep. Thankfully, Nyx had a way to sort of fix things and go back to a point in time where she could fix what she broke.

There are a ton of other things happening back at Morningstar… and Sev has to find the contract in order to destroy it to be able to free himself and all the other Maras. Which he does thankfully!

But there is even more at risk… someone else is trying to take back their world, but will they be able to stop them in time? And will Sin ever be able to actually love her?

Man, this book was so good! I cant wait to find out what happens next!

Really bummed at how this series went so wrong

Until this book, I really liked this series. Now it’s just a total cluster. Completely off the rails with waaaaaaay too many lame storylines all competing. And writing from every damn characters POV? It’s not good. Who wants 10+ POVs in a book. More is not better.

And really, the FMC who is supposed to run everything. Who is practical. Suddenly decides that getting laid is more important than saving the whole world. Give me a fing break. That whole thing was stupid. Really stupid. There is way too much going on already. But hey, yeah, let’s throw in even more ridiculous storylines on top of the already ridiculous storylines. On top of the other unknown ridiculous -ness going on with Sin. FFS. Total dumpster fire now. I don’t even want to finish this now. Every bit of this is about stretching the story into more books.

The FMC is just a joke now. Even before the Loke thing her focus had become about nothing more than hooking up with all these guys. And her inability to control herself what so ever around them. Which by the way, is of the most annoying plot lines used.

This is like a really awful daytime soap opera. Full of over the top, unbelievable drama that makes me want to stick my head in the oven just to get away from it.

Wish I hadn’t wasted my time on these books.

Looking back, I have no idea how everything in this story manages to fit inside the book, so much seems to happen.

What I love about this book is that we bounce around lots of different characters, so we get all the different viewpoints of everything that's going on. It's going to be hard to write a review without giving something away. The world-building as always is just so well thought out, it really pulls you into the story.

Nyx is reunited with Loke, but it's far from straightforward, but I love that she got to spend time with him. She also firms up her relationships with Artimus, Ignatius and Sev. Sin is losing favour with me and I love how Nyx deals with him.

Things start coming together in this book, we start to see how all the pieces might start into place and some things that have happened in the past are making sense. But there are so many things going on and now nobody is entirely sure who they can trust other than the siblings.

Things have been brewing in this world for a while and everyone seems to have their own plan and agenda in how it should go, but I'm sure Nyx will do things her own way. She has come so far with the support of her siblings and consorts and I'm really looking forward to seeing how it all pans out and how Nyx will deal with it all.

WTAF!! Rollercoaster Ride Of Everything!

This was an epic continuation of this story and I've been blown away! I read this in one sitting & now I'm sad cause I have to wait for the last book to come out. So much happens that I don't know where to start lol but let's begin with Nyx. She has grown so much & keeps getting hit from every corner but she doesn't give up even in the face of the most heartbreaking situations. I love how she put Sin in his place it was about time & love how her & her men are officially official. Zedar is one sick person & I hope him and D get what's coming to them. So many traitors are coming out & now we see who really can be trusted but Nyx now has to forge her own destiny, the questions remains will she be able to do the right thing? I'd bet money on her any day! Now let's talk that frickin cliffy, how could you leave it like that so many lives left without knowing if they are alive or dead. How much more can Nyx take & what will happen when they are finally out again? All I know is the last book will be epic & I'm dying to know how it all ends. Definitely a amazing series so far and I'm 100% hooked!

Let me start by saying, this is an amazing series. The remainder of this review is me venting my heartbreak.

I just can’t with you Debbie Cassidy. It’s not fair to obliterate my heart like that. I mean it was just wrong to do that to us without like 15 warnings. Something like, BEWARE! BROKEN HEARTS DOWN THIS PATH!

This series has been such a whirlwind. I don’t know which way is up. I mean I can’t even get over one thing before another is happening. I’m seriously so addicted and I need the next book NOW… and therapy so please send some recommendations.

The guys is Nyxs life are just everything and it’s hurting me watching them struggle to be together.
Sin is a total jerk that just needs to pull his head out of his … you know
Sev is my bad boy turned hopeless romantic that is like a freaking puppy dog I just want to cuddle and give all my love to
Ig and Artimus are not as heavy in this book but I think it evens out when you read the series close together. Still top guys because they love Nyx so much.

This series was highly recommended by a book influencer that I follow and being a RH paranormal romance I had to dive straight in.
I really enjoyed this series with it's vivid world building, engaging characters, found family, various paranormal 'species', banter, romance and spice. There were a few twists and turns that I didn't see coming which is always great. The FMC was strong and feisty, and I loved the way she brought her family together with the varying personalities. The MMCs were charismatic, engaging and sexy. There were a couple of things that bugged me though... I wish there had been more romance (and spice), it seemed that area suffered to fit in all the plot points and action. To me it seemed like most of the romance was with one MMC in particular, and yet another MMC was left in the 'wings' for ages. I would have loved if they were together as a group earlier with more romance peppered throughout t he story. Overall, however, I did really enjoy this series and will be checking out more books by this author.

Poor Nyx, I was exited for her and Loke. Heartbreak follows Nyx around like a halo! She got a glimpse into what life with Loke would be like and it would have to comfort her as much as it hurts her. What is up with Sin? I’m getting sick of his wishy washy attitude and hope Nyx backs him against a wall metaphorically and literally! He needs that iron control ripped from him to see what he really feels. And Z! I refuse to say his full name he lost that right, I don’t care his reasoning. Poor grown man can’t handle his daddy issues so he’s going to destroy everything! Please, another man throwing toddler temper tantrums. Handle your crap Z and stop being such a donkey’s butt. I loved how the siblings bonded with Thea and how their family ties are growing. I’m still feeling worry for Tristeene and anxious to see how that plays out. I do love the changes in both Z’s and Mallini’s moms and I hope they continue to be better people.

The chokehold this series has on me! The emotional rollercoaster this entire series has put me through! The book hangover! It's been a wild ride up to now and I have loved every single second. Debbie weaves such intricate, unique stories with diverse characters and phenomenal world building. We are deep into this series now and I am fully immersed! Nyx and her siblings have such an inspiring relationship, I love seeing how it develops. She has been through so much, is dealing with so much and Debbie does such a great job of expressing Nyx’s emotions and thoughts. She has been so strong through everything she's had to deal with, I really hope she gets her HEA in the last book. With this series’s twists and turns it's really hard to see how the many story arcs within this series will end. This is another fantastic book, well written and while complex, easy to follow along. I am so excited for the next book!

This book had me hook, line and sinker!

The betrayal was so real and I felt all of the things to my very core - Nyx is so strong to keep going after someone she loves betrays her!

This point in the series really felt like it was setting everything up for the finale - including the absolutely stonkingly huge cliff-hanger! Excuse me I thought my soul departed!

The relationships between Nyx and her siblings continue to remain the highlight of the series for me - it's just all so wholesome and simple in comparison to her relationship with her guys who are all complicated and weaving emotional webs to build a roller-coaster!

Side note to add - you 100% deserve to be in the dog house -Zepar (you too Sin)!! Gah they were so frustrating!

10/10 read absolutely cannot wait for the next book because it promises to be more explosive than this one and this felt like a bomb had gone off in my brain!

Nyx ends the last book being knocked out and being betrayed but one of the men she loves. But when she wakes up, she wakes up mad enough to spit fire and with payback on the brain. But she has a lot on her plate and she wont let anything take away what she has worked so hard for from her.

She's found out that Zephar killed her father, and that another man she has loved is involved but has been lost and she needs to find him. She's lost a key, and he is the lock but life and the magic from the otherside takes away from them both before she finally remembers everything and tries to right a wrong but at what costs?

Nyx finally makes it back home to her men but she's changed and now nothing will stop her from saving the rest of those that she loves. She's now the queen of Hell and you know what they say about Hell, Fury, and women. I can't wait to see just how messy this gets as Nyx goes to right wrongs and to get her own form of payback.

Debbie Cassidy has an incredible ability to keep her readers engaged through 5+ book series. Not every Author can do that. Demons of Morningstar has been exceptional at keeping interest going throughout the series, and keeping even her most dedicated readers engaged. The harem Nyx is gathering has been so uncertain and fluid, I have never been more unsure of the final configuration. Even now, when I thought it was set, we had the incredible betrayal of Zepar in book 4 that sets up all the action in Demon Wrath. Far from the story becoming stale in book 5, I was hooked from the first page. Zepar gave us a ton of new material to follow along with Nyx and her siblings as they secure the throne from their enemies, and we also find hanging plot lines start to wrap up in anticipation of the ending. I dearly loved this book, and am full of excitement for the final book release to finish off what has been a thrilling and twisty series.

Ok. This was about to be a 1 star but then I decided to completely omit the part where Nyx literally puts HAVING SEX with someone WHILE THEIR MEMORY IS ALTERED over LITERALLY EVERYTHING ELSE from my brain so I could enjoy the rest of the series.
Because one of her boyfriends is trapped with his abuser and on a mission to free the rest of his people from horrific slavery, another is trying to find the evil entity trying to kill her and take over everything, another is trying to find his peoples’ sacred thingy, one of her sisters is fighting for her life against an insidious/sentient disease, and her mission was to stop someone to keep them from unleashing unspeakable evil. And she puts all that in jeopardy, because she wanted to get laid before bro could even remember who she was. Ugh!!!! The more I think about it the more I’m inclined to mark this down.

This 4th installment of Demons of Morningstar took so many twist and turns I have whiplash. I loved that we got a variety of characters POV in this book, though I would have liked a little more Ignatius/Hrath but I'm partial. I loved that we got more sibiling POV and they had a bigger role in this book. I still want to smack Zepar and I'm not really sure how he is going to end up in this series but I'm very curious. I really want Sin to have a redemption arc but I'm not sure it's going to happen. Nyx is so strong and I'm so sad that it might not be a completely HEA for her. This one got me in the feels and I'm a little salty about one part but I'm hoping this is only an intermission. I'm not sure how we're going to wrap everything up in the last book for this series but I'm eagerly awaiting it's release date.

What an amazing book! Seriously though Debbie has created another world you love and want to be apart of.
Nyx has been burned by someone she least suspected. Now armed with the hurt of the betrayal she's in a race against time to stop something really bad from happening. But don't worry, Nyx isn't alone. She has the love and support of her amazing siblings. She has some stubborn but incredible men. She has a nice blast from the past! Which after Nyx's last book I'd love to read about. She has the support of others who are becoming like family. But will it be enough? Does she have everything she needs? Can she go against someone she once held dear? Only this book can give you the answers you seek! It's another amazing step of Nyx's journey. So what are you waiting for? Jump on and hold on tight!

Nyx is missing and of course everyone is in an uproar. No one is more upset or ready to deal some hurt than the Satan of the hour. Awake and realizing just who has her and trying to figure out why, Nyx sets about doing what every “damsel” should do, saving herself.

This is just the start of a book so furiously paced, and so full of mic drop moments that readers are going to be left with the book-over AND the undeniable need to immediately reread just to make sure they did indeed read what they thought they read.

The author’s ability to weave in other worlds she has created to give readers teases of things they thought they knew but really didn’t is maddening and yet deserves a standing ovation.

As this series winds down, know that we, the readers, have an epic battle ahead of us along with hopefully some delicious groveling and heart-touching moments.
