Set in the mid-1980s Sunset Strip rock scene, Star Maker offers an all-access pass to the rise and fall of life in the music industry through the eyes of two up-and-coming stars: one aspiring executive and one aspiring artist. Kit McKenna was determined to make a new life by moving to Los Angeles, where the rock scene was taking off. Fueled by blind ambition, she gladly left behind her sordid past in a rock band as the primary songwriter. Being a big-shot entertainment attorney and record executive was her chosen path now. Once Kit landed in Hollywood, she quickly realized the road was not as paved in gold as she had thought. Rock bands were getting record deals almost weekly, but as a female band manager, she was constantly overlooked, not taken seriously, or even worse, harassed and propositioned. All of that changed one day when she signed Joe Arden to a legendary rock band as their flashy, new lead guitarist, quickly turning him into a guitar god overnight. Then she met Sully Foxx, frontman of the struggling Sunset Strip rock band Gypsy Tango and her whole life changed. Sully had talent in spades. Kit recognized it from the moment he took the stage and started singing. She was already in over her head managing other bands on the Strip and juggling law school, but she couldn’t pass up the opportunity to manage Gypsy Tango. They were her diamond in the rough. She knew she could take them to that coveted spot that marked success: a seven-figure record deal. Despite the long hours, egomaniacs, and chauvinistic battles, Kit was rising to the top and taking Gypsy Tango with her. Her focus was sharp, her desire strong, and her will unstoppable. And with Sully’s constant support and love, she felt invincible. But when things start to go off the rails, and the success gets too big to manage for Joe and Gypsy Tango, Kit has to make tough choices that affect not only the band’s future but her own.
What a rockin' flashback this was for me. I'm probably a little older than the average reader of this rockstar romance, so I lived through the eighties rock scene- so first- kudos to the author for getting so much of it right.
Secondly, this book has a lot of heart. Friends to lovers is the trope, but it really goes deeper in this one and I fell in love with Kit and Sully's journey and was sad when the book ended. Also- the ending is going to leave you wanting more, so I found myself desperately searching Amazon this morning for the next!
P.S., the author shared the playlist for this book and when it started out with KISS ME DEADLY by Lita Ford, she went straight to the top of my Auto buy authors. Much respect!
She is about to meet a man who could be big in the music. They will face many challenges as they try to navigate the music world while trying to have a relationship. How will they get on? Can they make it? How many bumps could they face? See how it will go I received an advance copy from hidden gems and I want to review

ARC: I am usually not a romance reader, but this book had me completely entranced. The combination of love and rock and roll mixed with personal battles and achievements kept the story so inspiring and entertaining. I did not expect to be so connected to the characters in such a short time, but there I was crying by the end. I am so excited to discover what the author has more to offer.
The only thing I struggled with was the fast pace plot and time jumps, but it wasn’t too difficult that I lost interest in the book or that the story lost its special touch. I highly recommend this book if you want a fun read about what could’ve been and what will be.
I love the book. It was different and fresh. 80's music with crazy fun stories..
I can say that this book has focused on every aspect of this industry. The glittery part, and there is the dull part of reality. This is all music, dreams, hustle and hurdles.. ❤️
Sully is charming and he has Kit's heart. Sully is a raw talent but he's dependent on something that scares Kit.
Kit is an entertainment attorney. And she is scared of things ending up like her parents' What happened?? You have to read the book.
I love how the challenges, highs and lows of their relationship was shown in the book. It was not all roses, they had their fair share of doubts, love, insecurities, flaws but they came up stronger than ever..
The author did a great job. The set up was on point. You can get all the rock band vibes..
And I loved the side characters as well. They added extra stars as well... ❤️❤️
The novel captures the essence of the 1980s rock scene, with vivid descriptions of the music, fashion, and culture of the time. The authenticity of the setting adds depth to the story and enhances the overall reading experience.
Star Maker, written by Jessa Nevins, is a vibrant and thrilling narrative set in the summer of 1984. Star Maker explores several themes, including the pursuit of dreams, the complexities of friendship and relationships, and the consequences of living a life of excess. Sully, a talented musician, and Kit, a woman from a prestigious family, form an unlikely pair whose connection is tested by external pressures and internal insecurities. Sully’s discomfort in Kit’s world is palpable during their interactions with her family.
Overall, Sully and Kit’s relationship in “Star Maker” is a beautifully crafted narrative of love triumphing over adversity. Jessa Nevins adeptly portrays their journey with authenticity and emotional depth, making their story resonate with readers. Their relationship is a beacon of hope, illustrating that true love can withstand the trials imposed by a judgmental world.
Nevins’ writing is energetic and engaging, much like the world she describes. Her dialogue is snappy and realistic, perfectly capturing the voices of her characters. The pacing is brisk, keeping the reader hooked from the opening scene to the final chapter. From the moment I opened "Star Maker" by Jessa Nevins, I was transported back to the electrifying rock scene of the 1980s. Picture this: a bustling Los Angeles, neon lights flickering, and the raw energy of rock music pulsing through the air. It felt like stepping into a time machine, with each page immersing me deeper into the vibrant world of rock and roll.
The story centers around Kit McKenna, an ambitious entertainment attorney with dreams as big as the city she lives in. When she crosses paths with Sully Fox, the enigmatic and charismatic frontman of Gypsy Tango, their lives are forever changed. Their friendship is built on late-night gigs, shared laughter, and an unspoken connection that simmers beneath the surface. You know that feeling when you meet someone who just gets you? That's Kit and Sully.
What I loved most about this book is the authenticity with which Nevins portrays the 80s rock scene. The descriptions of the music, the venues, and the culture are so vivid, it’s as if you’re right there in the crowd, cheering for your favorite band. The dynamic between Kit and Sully is beautifully crafted, capturing the complexities of their evolving relationship. It’s a rollercoaster of emotions, filled with highs and lows, passion and heartbreak.
As their journey unfolds, you can’t help but root for them. Their chemistry is palpable, and the tension is masterfully woven into the narrative. By the end of the book, I felt like I had been on an unforgettable journey with Kit and Sully, experiencing their triumphs and tribulations alongside them. "Star Maker" is not just a romance; it’s a celebration of music, friendship, and the courage to follow your heart. If you’re looking for a story that will make you laugh, cry, and everything in between, this book is a must-read.
The Blurb had me at 80s rockstar, as a person born in the early 80s and raised in the 90s glam rock was the mainstream during my childhood. 🎸The story follows Kit, an entertainment attorney through her journey of fame and love. Kit is living the life of a rock star while finishing up with law school. The storyline takes you through some emotional turmoil and has the reader guessing what Kit will do next. The story is told in the third person, and due to the extensive background, I did have to reread some parts. There is a bit of a cliffhanger, and leaves the reader wondering where the story will go from there. This story had me pining for some 80s classics and gave me a serious dose of nostalgia. I hope to be able to read the next book when it comes out. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was such a fun book. I have a special place in my heart for 80’s rock. I am not quite old enough to have lived through it (was born in the early 80’s) but I was always drawn to it. I love the rockstar romance genre and this one I thought was very well done. While I love a good romance, I always appreciate a story outside of the romance. This was the first book I have read by this author and I thought it was well written and entertaining. This story showed the good, the bad, and the ugly of the rockstar lifestyle. The main characters were fantastic and I thought that the chemistry between the two was amazing. This book does have a lot of descriptions, which helps paint the world but some people may not appreciate it. It is also told in the 3rd POV, which is different from a lot of the romance books that I read, but I didn’t think it took anything away from the story.
I adore friends to lovers stories. It was so wonderful to follow the story of these two characters. Kit was a total bada**, which she has to be with what she has been through and is going through. As a lawyer, I always have sympathy for anyone who is going through law school/ being a lawyer. You really see how amazing she is when she is working as an entertainment lawyer, managing her bands. It is no easy task but she really excels at it, which really can’t be easy during that time period. She is absolutely the star of this book and what this universe revolves around. Sully is absolutely Mr. Rockstar. It was so amazing to watch the growth that he goes through as the time passes. I really enjoyed watching this go from friends to lovers and the slow burn that they go through.
This was a great friends to lovers, rockstar romance. It is not often that we get to see those two dynamics together and I found it to be such a wonderful story. This was not just a simple romance, there is so much more involved. The spice wasn’t super spicy but I didn’t mind because I enjoyed the story. This is book one in the series and I am looking forward to the next one coming out.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Edit, I went back in and changed Joe to Sully. I don't know why I wrote Joe. I apologize for the mix up. It's Sully! I also realized I put Kit's name where Sully's should be. Ugh, I am so sorry. I was typing and didn't realize I got the names mixed up. Anyway, I went in and fixed it. I am sorry if this got people confused with my review!
This is the first romance series that I have read that involves a musician and an attorney. I don’t typically read novels like this, but it was nice. It’s a story of romance, with a mixture of truly pushing to make your dreams come true. This story takes place in the 1980s. Mainly following two friends, Kit and Sully. Kit, who has initially been cut off by her father, works her way to becoming an attorney. We then have Sully, who is talented, then moves to LA and becomes a rock star. The writing style of this book is very different from what I am used to. You also learn what it's like in the music industry at the time. I don't know much about the industry or how it's ran. I would assume this was fairly well-done research. The story does take place in the 80s, and I’m an 80s child, so I could relate to this book. However, even though you're not an 80s kid, you could probably still relate to parts and pieces of the story. There are lots of mentions of alcohol and drugs, so just be warned! I feel like this book is giving me the vibe of a Hallmark movie. It’s giving me something you could watch because it has that feel of drama, but also enough anticipation of, well, what happens next type of romance. It’s giving that old-school 80s movie or show. In the end, it was a fun read and definitely different for me.
Thank you, @sunnybabepr for sending me a copy of Star Maker.
This book is about a group of friends living in LA trying to make it in the rock industry. This takes place in the mid 80s. The music and vibes are there! The MMC and FMC attraction is instant and the spice is mild. I will say the 80s vibes were there and that's what I enjoyed the most. The author really described that era well 👏

2.75⭐ 2 🌶️ Tropes: Rockstar, strong FMC, friends to lovers
Starmaker is the first book in a series focused on a group of friends living in LA in the mid 80’s trying to break into the rock scene. The main female character is Kit, and early 20s woman trying to build her music empire by being an attorney specializing in musicians/bands and eventually Sully emerges as the MMC-aspiring rockstar and Kit’s eventual love interest.
I did not really enjoy this book. I’m not sure if it’s the writing style (which I think could use some polishing) or the story itself. It’s more of a story about the mid 80s rock scene with a romance side plot; I prefer more romance heavy books.
Things that stuck out to me: -The excessive use of instantly and immediately. -The chapters are very long and there are a lot of jumps forward in time which cause some plot holes. The book takes place over 3 years so it makes sense that there are big gaps, but it was pretty jarring sometimes. -Along with the jumps in time, it jumps between POV with little indication. I often had to go back and reread to stay on top of what was happening. This might be a formatting issue though, because I read this as an arc.
The story toward the end dragged. TBF I didn’t realize this was going to be a cliffhanger but I was having a hard time staying focused on it and skimmed the last 25% or so because it seemed like it was going to go on forever. Once I realized there was no resolution in this book it made sense.
Voracious readers Kit and Joe have been friends since they were kids. Kit, Joe, Lex and Max were all trust fund babies but Kit had been cut off by her dad because she decided on law school in UCLA instead of Harvard. Her trust fund wouldn’t be unavailable to her until she turned twenty-five. She’s very beautiful, very smart, and musically gifted. Joe was born to be a rockstar and when they arrived in LA he got his big break. It’s sad that he’s so in love with Kit but she friend zoned him and now even though he’s gorgeous and famous, he’s so unhappy and spiraling out of control. Kit’s been through two relationships but her career and studies drain her, I don’t see happiness for these two. I love that Kit and her two besties are driven and they’re helping each other to the top. I’m having a hard time with the direction of this story. There’s no romance, why would there be? There are too many characters in this book and some are dating, but they’re like afterthoughts. There are also dates, recording in studio, hanging at the bar, and dinners that lead to nothing. I’m halfway through this book and there’s just no clear vision of where this story is going. So finally there’s a love story in there but it’s still wrapped in a lot of nonsense. The ending was terrible because cliffhangers are terrible. I didn’t know this was a cliffhanger or I would have passed. Now I understand why there were so many chapters of nothing. I’m giving this book three stars.
I had so much fun with Star Maker! Reading a book that takes place in the 80s was fascinating and I feel like I want to give myself a homework assignment to research more about the 80s or find books about bands from the 80s. It had to have been just the craziest decade to live in!
The writing style wasn’t my favorite and only one character stood out to be a favorite but I still loved all of the characters and felt like I was reading a real life story about my friends in the 80s. Loved seeing Kit (fmc) kick butt at managing her bands while trying to manage law school. She worked so hard! The author herself did manage bands back in that time so I’m sure some of this played into the characters personalities!
The book overall seemed to be a lot of tell, tell, tell and not a lot of showing or dialogue. I would’ve liked to get longer scenes with our characters so I could feel more connected to them especially when it came to the romance! The book also spans over a few years. I think it would’ve been nice to have a few things happen then use book 2 for the next section of events etc. I’m really looking forward to finding out what’s going to happen in book 2 though!
Thank you Truly Yours PR and the author for the arc in exchange for an honest review!
Star Maker follows a group of friends who are looking to make it big in the rock scene. Talent and hard work ethic is what is portrayed with the occasional rock band cameo. This is a slow burn which I am typically on the fence about. But watching the friendships evolve and how the dynamic between Kit and Sully changes throughout the chapters is definitely a plus. You get to know two people who are not in the mindset to give their best in the relationship and they make the decision to stop and work on themselves. Kit’s relationship with her best friend Joe was also a big highlight for me. They had been friends from childhood. At first I considered Joe to be the love interest but quickly learned that he was the reason Kit and Sully made sense. Kit is one bad a** manager, lawyer and friend. She wears many hats but throughout the book you see how strong she is. Friendship and the way that the relationship evolves are what we see unfold. We are introduced to a friend group that has each other's backs. It is also refreshing that the story takes place in the 80’s so you also get a glimpse of how different from today working in the music industry was, especially when you do not have the luxury of modern technology.
This book takes place in the 80's and follows the lives of characters in L.A. rock scene. The concept behind this book is interesting and I wanted to see where this book went.
This book kept me intrigued with the storyline. However, I struggled with parts of this book. It is written in dual POV. Typically I enjoy multiple POVs, however, in this book of felt like the POV would just flip back and forth between paragraphs and I would get lost trying to figure out who's POV it was.
There were times that there wasn't much of a transition. One moment the characters were in one place and then they were somewhere else. I also didn't care for the FMC. While I liked that she was ambitious and had to fight for her to be taken seriously. She had no compassion for her friends and it felt like she would gaslight their struggles. I also didn't feel the chemistry between her and the MMC.
I did really like the MMC. He was the poster boy of rags to riches. I felt like he stayed humble while on his journey to fame. He was a loyal friend and wanted what was best for them.
This book might be for you if you are into 1980s rock. There are a few references to bands of that time. This book is also very much into that hair band days of the 80s.
This is 1980s rock beauty at its finest! Take me back to that 80s rock vibe with the likes of GUNS AND ROSES AND MOTELY CRUE! This book centers around our FMC Kit and artist manager in the music industry and Sully our MMC and resident front man for a popular emerging rock band!
The relationship ship between the two is insta chemistry that blossoms into much more and makes the music take more of a back drop curtain while the relationship takes center stage. Not without its highs and Lowe’s just lie the music industry itself.
This book and the author do a great job of navigating how the industry was back then and how it affected so many artists and managers during the turbulent yet for lack of a better term rocking time. The 80s were hugs for rock stars and this book captures the ups1 and downs and costs of fame very well.
I will say without being too spiolery the side characters really added to this story and that the ENDING has left me on one hell of a cliff hanger and I need more to this story stat!
I give this one a solid ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and 🌶️🌶️ for that slow burn angst!
This kinda hit home a bit. I grew up on the tail end of the 80s so I got to listen to a lot of this kind of music. And a lot of the struggles that bands went through to be at the top were real. So was the drug use and the fact that Kit had to really put her foot forward. Like any industry, the business part was a man’s game and Kit was really having to rely on her education to show that she wasn’t just looks. The misogyny that’s mentioned in this disgusted me but it was only because those characters assumed before knowing who she really was. And this story was not without emotional pain and loss, which had me fighting tears in public.
Hands down, one of the best drama romances I could have read. I say drama in the fact that you don’t get to know how far the bands get to go unless you keep reading. How far Kit gets unless you keep going. And it’s such a slow burn that it fits so well for the scenario of the setting. There couldn’t be room for anything else. For the period in time it was set, the goals they all wanted to achieve, there was no other way. I can’t wait to see how the next books turns out.
Thank you, @sunnybabepr and Jessa Nevins for this ARC!
Romance, music, and the ‘80s are a few of my favorite things, so this was a must-read for me!
Nevins created beautiful characters in Kit and Sully, and I instantly fell in love with each of them and their chemistry. They embark on a beautifully complex journey as they navigate everyday life, taking on the music world to accomplish their dreams and their growing feelings. It’ll give you a whirlwind of emotion, and the slow burn was worth the wait as I was hooked on every word! Aside from romance, there’s a story of resilience, chasing your dreams, and following your passion.
If you’re a fan of music, the 1980s, band life, and the highs and lows of stardom, then you’re sure to love this book. It paints a vivid picture of what it’s like to be a musician and date as a musician. It’s felt so immersive in music culture with the vibrant clubs, cutthroat artist management, and life on the Sunset Strip in the 80s. I loved every bit of it!
I can’t wait to read more in this series!
If you like: 🎸 Rockstar Romance 🎶 Workplace Romance 🌃 1980s Music Industry 🎸 Friends to Lovers 🎶 He Falls First 🌃 3rd Person POV …Then this is a book for you!!
I got an ARC of this book and found it's a very fun, fast-moving read that hooks you from the beginning, starting with a police chase in medias res. This book is a perfect fit for those who love music and a lil romance! The story immerses readers in the exhilarating rock scene of the 1980's with some pretty crazy fun stories. It vividly portrays the music, fashion, and culture of the era and it feels as though you are in a movie set in the 80's with the way she writes so vividly. She crafts a compelling narrative that follows Kit's efforts to sign two rock stars, Joe Arden and Sully Foxx, and captures the highs and lows of their intertwined lives. The novel goes into themes of friendship, ambition, and living life in the fast lane, while Sully and Kit's relationship stands out as a testament to love making it through hardships. With its realistic dialogue, lively writing, and authentic portrayal of the rock and roll lifestyle, Star Maker is a memorable read! I definitely recommend and look forward to future books in the series.
Tropes: 🎵 Rockstar Romance 🎶 Friends to Lovers 🎵 Star Crossed Lovers 🎶 Dual POV/3RD Person 🎵 80's Rock Scene
This was my first Rock star romance and I definitely need to read more with this trope! For as long as I can remember I've always fantasized about dating a rock star. There's something about musicians that just get me. Plus they were friends to lovers too? Sign me up! So with all that being said I was super excited to read this!
Kit is an entertainment lawyer as well as an amazing musician when she meets the talented Sully & their chemistry was almost instant. I appreciated that this focused on the good & bad parts of the music industry because while it looks glamorous to be with a rock star (or to be one), there's always a dark side. You can tell that Jessa did her homework on the 80's rock scene!
I really enjoyed Jessa's writing and I definitely want to read more, especially in this series! Thank you @Sunnybabepr for sending me a copy of this book!
I was very excited for Star Maker. It is rare to find a book that takes place in the 1980s but add a rockstar romance trope and I could not wait. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. The story overall was good (3/5 stars for me). The three main characters, Joe, Sully, and Kit lacked not only depth but personality. More time was spent describing the cars they drove than the characters themselves. There was definitely a missed opportunity to elaborate on the clothing and music scene of the 1980s in California. While Jessa mentions various bars she doesn’t elaborate on why these are exciting places for the band to play or what the atmosphere was like. The writer’s overall style was good and the storyline was interesting, I just wish there was more focus on the main characters. There were also a lot of extra characters and settings that I felt could have been left out and would have made the story easier to follow. This book could be compared to early Meghan Quinn (Love and Sports or Hot-Lanta series), where there was a great storyline but so many characters to keep up with that it didn’t quite make it to a 4 or 5 star read.
Star Maker was the perfect rock and roll musician vibe. Set in the 80s, it’s clear from the very first page that Kit is in control of her own fate and who she chooses to spend time with and help grow. She is the ideal Star Maker herself, giving the book the perfect lead character to root for and follow along with her journey.
Sully, on the other hand, falls head over heels for Kit. Their pairing leads his band, Gypsy Tango, to great success and to the stardom they both hope for. It takes them a long time to realize they’re meant for each other, but we love a good slow burn!!
I’m not going to lie, the ending of the book has me screaming! I’m dying for more of Kit and Sully and the continuation of their rockstar experiences. It’s not all sunshine and rainbows, but it’s a beautiful and honest portrayal of the 1980s Hollywood lifestyle.
I voluntarily reviewed a free advance copy of this book provided by the author. The opinions expressed are my own.
Hey, if you're going to read this, just know it ends on a cliffhanger. And it's incredibly rage-inducing :)
The pacing in this is terrible. I can not tell you how much time passes in the duration of this book, I can just tell you a lot passes. It's also hard to keep up with whose POV you're suddenly in. It's just hard, in general, to keep track of what's going on.
None of the characters stood out to me. Besides driving me crazy majority of the time. I say this in so many reviews, but I hate 3rd act breakups. And this one pissed me off so much cause you put me through an infuriating slow burn and then it happens 98% in and then ends on a cliffhanger. And it's so STUPID! I do not understand the need to bring unnecessary conflict when EVERYTHING IS FINE! The argument literally made no sense.
I appreciate the Author Agency for sending me this arc, but hoo boy this one was not for me.
This story is all about the 80s rock scene, and I'm all for it! Kit is an artist manager determined to make it big in the music industry. Sully is the frontman of a new upcoming rock band. When they meet the chemistry, it is undeniable.
I enjoyed this story so much! I'm such a big lover of all things music, including all different genres, so this was literally the perfect book for me! It was a beautiful blend of the music industry with romance. It gave major Daisy Jones and the Six vibes, and that was perfect! This author is new to me, but I'm so adding to her to my automatic buy list! Her writing was seriously so good! This is perfect for fans of rock n roll, romance, and drama.

Thanks so much to the author and Sunny Babe PR for the ARC!
This is my first book where I read about a music band that is filled with passion and parties. I was little shocked to know about the technology that was available in the 80s (on my defence I didn’t think they are too ancient!). The rock-band culture, the lifestyle and the nonstop parties tempted me to experience the life. Apart from that, I liked how the female mc was not just depicted as a beauty but she was strong, independent, kind, ambitioned, leading. And I am officially in love with Sully Fox. Apart from looks, he stole my heart the way he treats Kit. The plot also emphasizes on the bond that friends share, along with various other emotions. The read surely gave me a movie experience.
I love a rockstar romance and one set in the 1980’s, yes please! I grew up in the 1980s as a kid and loved the bands of the time frame😊This is a hugely compelling read. Our two MC’s are Kit and Sull in this book. Kit is an attorney and Sully is the lead singer for Gypsy Tango a very popular band in the 1980’s in this world. There is a definite slow burn romance for fans of that, like myself! There is a huge amount of chemistry between these two and you can tell right away. I really enjoyed this story since it shares the triumphs and also the failings of the music industry. The characters are really relatable and there is so much in this story like the growing of the characters and also pursuit of your dreams is a huge message in this one too.
Loved how the story portrayed all the difficulties that come with being thrown into the limelight too quickly. While Kit seemed to have it all perfectly planned out I feel like as she gained more success in her career she became reckless. Joe and Sully have so much in common including their love for Kit. They both realized when they were going through a rough patch and tried to reach out to Kit for support. While it’s true that sometimes you have to ride it out until things get sorted. There are instances when you just really need someone to help get you out of a dark place. Kit definitely failed both of them in that sense.
Look forward to reading the next book in the series.
"Star Maker" is a fun and insightful book about music, fame, and life in the fast lane! As well as the challenges and dangers of that lifestyle. The 80s setting was enjoyable to read about! The characters are very likeable and were fun to meet and get to know. The speed of the plot in this book is fast-paced but matches the spirit and vibe of the story perfectly, the writing style is smooth, the romance is fun, and the emotional depth of the book is great. I enjoyed reading this book! 5 stars!
Thank you very much to the author Jessa Nevins and Booked with the Emilys for the great opportunity of being a part of the cover reveal tour and for providing me with physical and digital copies to read and review honestly.
If you are looking for a 1980s Rockstar Friends to Lovers Book then this one is it! I personally really liked both MMC and FMC. They did have lows and highs but how the This one is wrote very realistically and honestly that had me so engaged and wanting more. Honestly my heart did go out to our FMC Kit several times while I was reading this one. I definitely would consider this one a strong slow burn with true Friends to Lovers. It does end on a cliffhanger. There is some tw containing some substance abuse. Highly would recommend this one especially if you’re an 80’s baby and love Rockstar Romance featuring the 80’s Music Industry
