Once again I read and dislike a strategy guide, this one guiding (ruining) your Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess walk. Zelda games are RPG's, each with a unique storyline, each spoiled before your eyes after the purchase of a strategy guide.
They really could have done so much better with this guide. It felt rushed, poorly thought out. Extremely difficult to complete collections with the vague lists provided.
Revised review as I had the wrong book and realized my mistake a day later, of course. This guide is colorful and quite helpful, and well worn now. Might have to invest in the hardcover edition (hint hint to family) and as usual, a bit helpful during those few extreme puzzling moments when that bit of help is needed. But, they do have some errors, one of which sends you to the wrong bridge top for a chest/item which made for some frustration as to where it really was. The typo's were a bit annoying too. I'll hope the hardcover edition is done better.
My wife and I have spend a lot of time together playing The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. She plays while I navigate her through the game with the (paperback version) guide. Mr. Hodgson gives very clear directions (using compass directions instead of saying "look left" or "run right" was a fantastic idea. If you decide to purchase one, get the hardback "collectors edition" because the paperback's binding does not hold up all that well. I still have all the pages, but 4 or 5 of them are loose.
This was great as a game guide - other than the momentary confusions. It told where all the items where at the right time to get them - not just an index in the back. It was really nice.
