4 Rival Stars.
Two rival families. A forbidden romance that went bad ten years ago. A small town that despise her because of her family’s mistakes. An inherited brewery.
Now Miranda is back to try to save the brewery along with her two sisters, but the town power members are decided to go against her. And that includes Logan, the man she had a forbidden story a few years ago and it went bad when the town found about it. Ten years later the feelings are back, but how can you successfully love someone when you’re fighting on different sides of a war?
This is a quick, nice and sweet reading. It had a “Romeo & Juliet” vibe to it that only added the romance the part. It had drama enough to keep us on our toes and it had some steamy moments. When you find yourself wanting something romantic and sexy, this is a good choice.

Characters Development: Miranda was a very strong heroine. She was fierce, she went after what she wanted and didn’t gave up. I really liked her. Logan was a little hard for me to like in the beginning, but after he grew a back-bone he was really great. Not to mention he was a sexy man! It had a nice group of supporting characters, of which I’m really curious to read their story,

Let the games begin...
If you like the enemies to lovers trope, then I recommend this one. Unfortunately, for me, while there really wasn't anything wrong with this one, it also didn't have anything to make it stand out!
Miranda Sweet grew up trying to being anything other than a Sweet. The Sweet's were ridiculed, hated, talked about. You didn't ever want to be associated with a Sweet.
Logan Martin grew up being loved by the town. His family owned the local bank in town. He was treated with reverence, he was well liked. Men wanted to be him, women wanted to be with him.
So what happens when a Martin and Sweet lose their virginity to each other??? NOTHING GOOD!
Miranda gets labeled as the slut trying to bring a Martin down and Logan has to keep his mouth shut...afteall, he can't defend a Sweet.
Fastforward ten years and Miranda is back in town. Her crazy uncle left her a Brewery and if she wants a promotion at work she has to get it profitable within 3 months.
The one man standing in her way of making that happen, Logan Martin.
What ensues is a bitter battle between two enemies. Enemies who still have some unresolved issues....
I enjoyed the banter between Miranda and Logan, neither character annoyed me. There was some decent sexual tension and build up. I would have liked a bit more as far as the sexy times go.
I found this one to be fairly predictable. And overall I liked it. I think it's great if you are looking for an in between read or if you're looking for something light.

Enemies on Tap is enjoyable read. It has that chemistry for enemies turn lovers romance. Miss Flynn is well known for a likeable NA romance book.
For me, I need more. The story is too short and the chemistry is not explosive enough. I need more plot/ twist.
Overall this is OK story for me.

3 - "He's a Martin. You're a Sweet. This is Salvation." Stars!
Enemies on Tap, is my first experience of Avery Flynn’s writing, and I really enjoyed it, a little romantic suspense, and sexy couple and a whole plethora of quirky townspeople make for an interesting beginning to the Sweet Salvation Brewery Series.
Miranda Sweet has avoided Salvation like the plague ever since upping and moving to the city for College. The Sweet family has a less than stellar reputation in town and as such are looked down upon by almost every one of its residents. Being one of triplets, she along her sisters Natalie and Olivia are bequeathed ownership of the Sweet Brewery by their deceased Uncle, which necessitates her return, in order to turn around the Brewery’s fortunes so it can be sold on to her employers, guaranteeing her that corner office she has always wanted.
West Virginia had the Hadfields and the McCoys. Shakespeare had the Capulets and the Montagues. Salvation had the Martins and the Sweets.
Logan Martin and Miranda have history, history that involves the loss of virginity, and the loss of a reputation after the town finds out. Being the Manager of the only Bank in town, as well as “Salvations version of Prince Charming”, the town on the whole are extremely interested in how he lives his life, and who he is involved with, and as such a repeat performance with Miranda is not really something he should be considering.
Added to that, they now also have the Sweet Brewery in common, but not for the same reasons, and once again they find themselves on opposite sides of the fence, and on the tips of everyone’s tongues, with the most of the town firmly in Logan’s corner.
I loved the little battles between Miranda and Logan, and the banter between the two of them at times was absolutely hilarious, even though they both want each other they still try and deny themselves, and even when they give in they still pretend they don't want each other. It was funny, refreshing and just a little bit different.
“I don't want you, and this doesn’t change anything.” ... “I still hate your guts.”

I'm a huge fan of the enemies to lovers trope and that of reacquainted first loves. Enemies on Tap is both and with a Romeo and Juliet feel to it, it made for a fantastic read that I inhaled in one sitting. Avery Flynn has a gift of creating spirited characters with fight, fire, determination and a real likeability factor.
I loved both Miranda and Logan. Childhood sweethearts, their families couldn't have been more different. The Martin's own the town's bank, are wealthy, powerful members of the community and Logan is primed to take the mantel. The Sweet's were the town's misfits; quirky, unconventional,always ready for a protest and familiar with the inside of a cell. A third of triplets, Miranda, like her sisters, left Salvation and made something of her life, but when her Uncle passes away and leaves his ailing brewery to them, she is first to return, determined to turn it around, sell and return to her life. With a name that has a history of anything but sweet, small-minded residents and Logan declaring he needs the land the brewery sits on, it's beer bottles at dawn. Let battle commence...
“I don’t want to want you, and this doesn’t change anything. I still hate your guts.”

From their first re-encounter, the tension between them was intense. Together they are argumentative, stubborn and witty yet underneath they have regrets. 2.5 Stars.
Logan and Miranda were once high school lovers, they even lost their virginity to each other, but the town of Salvation was never nice to Miranda and her family so she high tailed it out of there right after high school. Fast forward a decade and Miranda is back in Salvation because her uncle left Miranda and her sisters his brewery. A brewery that is in shambles and in need of some serious revamping. Miranda needs to get it up running again so she can sell it and get a promotion at work. Because there is no way she wants to stay in a town that has hated her family for so many generations.
Needless to say, it's not going to be a piece of cake and Miranda has many obstacles in her way. From Salvation to even Logan. It seems like everyone is against her.
My Thoughts:
- Holy-motherfucking-shit. I hated this stupid town so much! Everyone was just so against Miranda, it made me so angry on her behalf. Now I feel like I need to go find a book about a small town that is loving and supportive to get rid of the bitter taste of Salvation.
- As much as I admired Miranda who kept her shoulders back and chin up at all times, I just want her to throw in the white towel and get out of this stupid prejudiced town so badly. I never would've been that strong. I would've left them in my dust long ago.
- And I hated Logan in the beginning! He was SUCH an asshole. Deliberately manipulating things to make it harder for her. And letting the town talk smack about her. I did not like him at all. I did warm up to him a little towards the end, when he took his head out of his ass, but I can't forget the beginning.

I loved this book about first love revisited. Miranda and Logan's story had a real Romeo and Jukiet feel to it, although no one died in this version! It was a great story about family redemption. I fell in love with some of the secondary characters, and truly hated a few others! I cannot wait to see what is in store for Miranda's two sisters in books to come.

Enemies on Tap is the first book of the Sweet Salvation Brewery series by Avery Flynn and oh what a great start to a series it is. The witty and often times hilarious plot line was so much fun to read. But, none of this took away from the attraction between Logan and Miranda. This book is just a feel good, lovely read from beginning to end.
The Sweet triplets were born and raised in Salvation which was not sunshine and roses. You see historically and not-so-historically the Sweet family are known to be quite quirky and downright crazy. The townspeople had no problem treating all of the members of the family as the village idiots. This was especially hard on the triplet girls since they actually tried to contain the crazy and not live up to the family tradition. Knowing they would never get a fair shake the girls left town at 18 and never looked back. Until now!
Miranda Sweet is back in Salvation. To be honest, she is as surprised as everyone else. Her uncle passed away and left her and her sisters the brewery. They could have just sold out and gone on with their successful lives away from the judgement of their beloved (insert sarcastic font) hometown. But, she is determined to show the town that a Sweet can do something right. It doesn't hurt that she's talked her boss into investing in the brewery if she can show it's a good investment. If she can prove herself in this endeavor she will finally get the promotion she's been working her butt off for.
Logan Martin is tired of living in his father's shadow. His father was a drunk and a mean one at that. Yet, the town of Salvation didn't see that so much. All they saw was the rich bank owner and the Martin family was hailed as Salvation royalty. Logan knows the reality and the weight of living life as a Martin and intends to make his own way. Yes, he's stepped into his father's shoes now that his father is working less, but Logan has a big expansion in the works. Once this deal goes through Logan can finally relax knowing that he has done something good for the community on his own merit. The only thing standing in his way is Miranda Sweet. The one girl who he has never been able to resist. But, resist he will. He has to put the Sweet Salvation brewery out of business and buy it for his idea to work.
Even though, Logan and Miranda were pitted against one another you could still feel the attraction and mutual like. Logan was really underhanded in the beginning and instead of aggravating me I felt so bad for him. He was fighting his need for independence and self-respect versus his love and want for Miranda. The little war they waged against each other was funny and so smart.
I was appalled at how some of these townspeople acted. Open hostility because of someone's last name should be a thing of the past, but I know small towns and sadly this little tradition is alive and well. We met some really great secondary characters and I can not wait to read more from this town and these sisters.

Simply loved this book. Avery Flynn had me from the get-go with the whole premise of beer and a deliciously bad-boy hero, Logan. I really do enjoy Ms. Flynn's ability to write a story with witty dialogue and sharp humor. Avery Flynn is an author to watch. She's about to take the romance world by storm one, hunky hero at a time.

Sometimes, it pays off to have a sexy and a half naked model in a book’s cover. In this case, judging a book by its cover worked in my favor. Avery Flynn is a new-to-me-author, and I’m damn glad I took the chance to read her book. Enemies on tap had a great brew of revenge, second chances and a hate-to-love romance…it was a perfect blend.
“West Virginia had the Hatfields and the McCoys, Shakespeare had the Capulets and the Montagues. Salvation had the Martins and the Sweets.”
Not as dramatic as the McCoys or the Capulet stories but you get the point. The Martins and the Sweet family have been at war for generations. To this very day, the cruelty and hardships that fell upon the Sweet family from the Martins still affect them and had actually driven the sisters out of town. But not for long, Miranda, Olivia and Natalie are the new owners of Sweet Salvation Brewery, given by their late Uncle Julian. Not the best of brewery institutions but they are determined to making this business thrive. Enemies on Tap is Miranda’s story.
Miranda and Logan were sweet together, and their story was romantic. There wasn’t much angst, but it was a love to hate relationship. Their sexual tension was definitely palpable, and the steam factor was hot enough. I am impressed with both Miranda and Logan. They are both successfully with what they do, and they have become good people. They don’t take shit from anyone, and they can totally hold their own. But I am most impressed with Miranda. Though she and her family were treated badly, she wanted to make a change to prove her worth. Giving one person a chance is one thing, but the whole town is another so for that, I give her props.
Enemies on Top is a great start to Sweet Salvation Brewery series. If you like Victoria Dahl’s Donovan Brothers, you’ll love Ms. Flynn’s Sweet Sisters. My only complaint is that it was too short for my liking.

I was given an advance copy of this book so that I could share my honest opinion when it is available for you to read. Well, that opinion is that I LOVED IT.
It has the feel of a small town community and real personal interactions.
Do you remember being in high school and saying that as soon as you graduated you were getting out of this place and not looking back? Now imagine that your family were the town screw ups, the freaks from the "wrong side" of the track. How fast would you make your escape?
Miranda had that experience, as well as being one of three sisters - triplets! You know she could not go unnoticed in a small town. Then imagine she is attracted to the popular high school quarterback from an affluent family;
A family with which her own has a generation after generation feud worthy of historical proportions.
When an uncle passes away and leaves a failing business to the sisters, Miranda is the one to return to town.
When she needs to arrange funding for the business turn around, guess who is now in charge of the bank?
This will keep you turning pages and not wanting to set the book down.
When you think the two wanna be sweethearts can come to a truce, misunderstandings and circumstances get in the way.

Avery Flynn has started a new series with a bang. This book had me hooked from the blurb, through the opening and till the very last word.
There is something about a enemies to lovers trope that sucks me in and this was no exception.
Logan and Miranda were just fantastic. I loved how the sparks immediately flew and despite what else was happening continued to burn all through the book.
"Sweetling, I'm not going anywhere except upstairs, where I'm going to make love to you till you pass out happy"
Logan is swoon material and Miranda is amazing.
There is everything you want in a good romance book, great main characters, flirty-ness, sexy times, humour, snark, a easy reading storyline and secondary characters that you will want to get a book of their own.

I am a huge fan of this author and I loved this book. I look forward to Miranda's sisters books. Did I mention Miranda is a triplet ? Once you meet them you will understand why.

I absolutely loved this book. Miranda Sweet and Logan Martin have a long history, most of which is not pleasant. Historically the Sweet and Martin families don't get along. However, no matter how hard they try to stay apart there is a strong attraction pulling them together.
Miranda is back in Salvation to save the brewery that she and her sisters have inherited from her uncle. If she can make it profitable she gets a promotion and a corner office.
Logan is determined to see Miranda fail because he needs the land for an industrial park.
Neither one of them was counting on falling in love. Is love enough when most of a town is against you?
I loved the secondary characters as well and can't wait to go back to Salvation, Virginia and read their stories.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves small towns and second chance love stories. Definitely a must-read.

This had been on my Kindle for a long time. I’ve been wanting to read it and I’m glad I finally did.
Enemies to lovers...check.
Small town romance...check.
A bit of forbidden romance...check.
Beer... check.
Definitely things I love.
Loved the sass and feistiness of the heroine, Miranda, and the sexiness of Logan, and the determination of both. The sneakiness of their relationship started back in high school. Their families have been enemies since way back, so for them to be together was not allowed.
This story had shenanigans, a little suspense, and enough steam to satisfy.
There were a few things that happened where I felt I was left hanging at the end. I would’ve loved an epilogue to get some closure on those things, but there wasn’t one. I didn’t realize how much I need/want an epilogue until I read this story.
Also, the switching of POVs within a chapter was not marked, so at times it was a bit confusing as to who was talking. But once I got it figured out, all was good.
Overall, I enjoyed this story!

Ms. Avery wrote an astounding book..two enemies because of there families. Bittersweet story. This book was pure perfection. Look at what's important to the one you love.
You see Logan Martin and Miranda Sweet have a history. She only came back to the town of Salvation after she and her sisters inherited the Sweet Salvation Brewery when Uncle Julian passed away. Logan Martin has his own plans for that land he wants to build an industrial park. He wants to prove to his family he can do something without there help, well she wants to do the same but to herself. They're arch enemies. A long time ago they were so much more, and she left. Like the Hatfield's and McCoy's each side had someone fall in love with the other and the feud began.
It gets interesting when they have a little bet going on, but Miranda needs funding to make a go for the brewery. "The only thing about beer was how to drink it".
Miranda goes to his bank for a loan, but when Logan turns her down it won't be easy to find another source of money. The town is treating her so terrible, but when Ruby Sue from the diner helps her she takes it. That cracked to find out how she how helps. It leaves Logan dumbfounded to what he just did. Wait and see.
As the little bet between Logan and Miranda goes on it seems that it's a never ending battle between them. When things get way out of hand and pretty dangerous Logan finally sees the light. He stands up for Miranda. Even when Miranda presents a plan to the Mayor which will be a win win for everyone which he refuses right away. He just wants the Sweets out of Salvation.
See what happens with these two. Along they're journey of disagreements..It's a great one.

Sometimes, it pays off to have a sexy and a half naked model in a book’s cover. In this case, judging a book by its cover worked in my favor. Avery Flynn is a new-to-me-author, and I’m damn glad I took the chance to read her book. Enemies on tap had a great brew of revenge, second chances and a hate-to-love romance...it was a perfect blend.
“West Virginia had the Hatfields and the McCoys, Shakespeare had the Capulets and the Montagues. Salvation had the Martins and the Sweets.”
Not as dramatic as the McCoys or the Capulet stories but you get the point. The Martins and the Sweet family have been at war for generations. To this very day, the cruelty and hardships that fell upon the Sweet family from the Martins still affect them and had actually driven the sisters out of town. But not for long, Miranda, Olivia and Natalie are the new owners of Sweet Salvation Brewery, given by their late Uncle Julian. Not the best of brewery institutions but they are determined to making this business thrive. Enemies on Tap is Miranda’s story.
Miranda and Logan were sweet together, and their story was romantic. There wasn’t much angst, but it was a love to hate relationship. Their sexual tension was definitely palpable, and the steam factor was hot enough. I am impressed with both Miranda and Logan. They are both successfully with what they do, and they have become good people. They don’t take shit from anyone, and they can totally hold their own. But I am most impressed with Miranda. Though she and her family were treated badly, she wanted to make a change to prove her worth. Giving one person a chance is one thing, but the whole town is another so for that, I give her props.
Enemies on Top is a great start to Sweet Salvation Brewery series. If you like Victoria Dahl's Donovan Brothers, you'll love Ms. Flynn's Sweet Sisters. My only complaint is that it was too short for my liking.

I am a small town, beer loving country girl, so imagine my happiness to read Enemies on Tap, the first story in the Salvation series by Avery Flynn. It's a fabulous little gem about a woman, Miranda Sweet, returning to her hometown of Salvation, to re-vamp her family owned brewery. The brewery left to her, and her sisters, by their crazy uncle Julian.
But the downfall is that her once crush, and maybe even first love, Logan Martin, whose family is the arch nemesis of the Sweets, is the one man standing in her way of success.
When the Martin Family bank denies a loan to the Sweet Salvation Brewing company because their success would hinder progress on a project Logan is working, a long standing rivalry takes hold and the two make a bet on who will come out on top. And one is not going to play fair.
You would think that this would be enough for a good enjoyable read, but add in an steamy attraction between Logan and Miranda that has never faded, a small town full of gossip, a mayor with a vendetta and pecan pie, and you have yourself one hell of a good read.
It's not full of angst, it won't make you sob your eyes out (but you might shed a small tear, I should know, I cry at just about anything). It's fun, it has action and it didn't take me weeks to finish, but only hours.
A good summertime, sitting in the sand with a beer in hand, escape from the daily-grind!

With both Miranda and Logan having feelings for each other, but also realizing what it looks like to the town because they are supposed to hate each other, the two’s airiness and “hatred” sizzles on every page. Readers fall in love with both characters, loving that they are “supposed” to hate each other, but knowing that they want each other to the point of desperation. The fights are hot and sex scenes hotter!

This was such a great start to Avery's new series. I love when authors can truly bring in so many different emotions in a book. At one point you want to throw Logan against a wall to knock some sence into him and the next you want to throw him against a wall for, well you know. Miranda is a strong female who can stand up for what she believes in and doesn't let others walk all over her. Some would have given up to have to deal with the s**t she did, but she keeps going. And falling in love with the enemy along the way!!!!

Avery Flynn's novel Enemies on Tap is as refreshing as an ice cold beer on a hot summer day. The town of Salvation is everything you hate in a small town at first glance, but everything you love when you discover it's heart. At first I wasn't sure Flynn could redeem her hero, Logan, enough to satisfy me. But I was oh, so wrong. She turned his pompous ass around in the best Romeo and Juliet story I've read this year. Thank God, it doesn't end in tradegy ;). Congrats to Flynn for making the town prince, a reader's choice to wear the crown.

Another fun sexy read from Avery Flynn! This is a great combination of enemies to lovers and second chance stories with a Romeo and Juliet flair. The characters are fun and lively and the small town of Salvation is brought to life by the writing. Can't wait to read more as each of the Sweet sisters return! Great entertaining read I highly recommend.

What a way to start a series! This book was sexy and fun from word one and never slowed down. In typical Flynn fashion, the characters leapt off the page and sexual chemistry was molten. You will need to keep a cold beer nearby to cool you down.

I don't get the high stars at all. There was no designation on when the book changed POVs. Logan called her sweetling, enough said. It was insta love after years and they shared one night in high school. Not for me.

3.5 stars! A very enjoyable read. Didn’t have quite the emotional punch for me that other Avery Flynn books have had but still a great way to spend an afternoon.

Enemies on Tap is the first book in a new series about the Sweet Salvation Brewery and my first book by Avery Flynn which is based on the enemies to lovers romance trope. I am always fascinated how authors take two characters that can't stand each other and turn it around to have them fall in love. Avery Flynn does a great job messing with the readers' emotions in Enemies on Tap, reading about Miranda and Logan's journey to love was a fast paced and fun time and I was hooked from the beginning!
Salvation, Virginia isn't exactly your typical Anywhere, USA small town, but it does have a quirky charm that keep my attention and looking forward to meeting the town's cast of characters. Salvation's two founding families the Sweets and the Martins are in a long standing feud and the town has definitely written off the Sweet family and all its members. While at times it was hard to read such small-minded hatred for someone based solely on their last name, I have to say Avery Flynn wrote in some funny scenes and gave us a pretty tough skinned heroine in Miranda that more than made up for it. Logan starts as a hero you love to hate and then (quickly) decides that he doesn't have to follow how is has always been done and rethinks his attitude.
Enemies on Tap was a quick story to read (I think I had it read in two hours) the characters were interesting, different and sometimes hard to connect with and the town is one that slowly starts to grow on you. While I did feel that some of the story was rushed, it did deliver a enjoyable read that has me looking forward to the next book in this series. Oh Avery, Avery, Avery…lol! Anyone who knows me knows that I am a sucker for an Enemies to Lover story – it is probably one of my favorite romance tropes. So when I saw the description of Enemies on Tap, and then saw the post on facebook that there were going to be ARC’s available, I was on it faster than (insert some kind of inappropriate joke here) – which goes along with the story itself.
To say that I hugely enjoyed EoT is an understatement. There were times I was laughing so hard, I’m sure the people around me (I was on the metro heading home from work) probably through that I was having an attack or something. EoT was a short read (only about 160 pgs according to Amazon), so I managed to read it in about 2 metro rides – but I made the drudgery of my day job just fall away as I was sucked into Miranda and Logan’s story.
I will admit that for a good portion of the first half I wanted to go and find a baseball bat, reach into my kindle and boing Logan over the head. He was such a stick in the mud – and yet at the same time, I could kind of understand with the history that he shared with Miranda and the small town prejudices (having grown up in one myself, it was almost like a reoccurring nightmare). The whole Sweet and Martin dynamic (think Hatfield and McCoy’s without the shooting at each other – although I’m surprised it hadn’t gone that far) was funny and it was like Ms Flynn had grown up in a town where stuff like that occurred. The romance wasn’t as hot as some, but there was a reasonable amount of UST between Miranda and Logan, as well as some seriously hot moments – it just wasn’t all wham, bam, thank you ma’am type stuff (which is a pet peeve of mine).
I can’t wait for the next book in the series, to see where it goes (and of course, to see what Miranda and Logan get up to in the future). This book has firmly put Avery Flynn on my current autobuy pile. 4 stars.
