Gimme MMMMMore #1

Team's Omega

Rate this book
What's an omega to do when he has to interact with an entire lacrosse team of handsome alphas every week?

Ash loves his job working at the Valle Granja University Library. He gets to help students find the information they need for their classes and research. However, one thing is missing in his life: an alpha. Unfortunately none of the men he's dated seems to quite meet his needs.

That is until one of the local lacrosse teams needs a temporary place to review training and game footage.

Ash quickly becomes attracted to several of the flirtier teammates. But the jock and nerd thing was just a romance trope, right? They'd never actually be interested in him. And if they were, how would he be able to pick just one?

Team's Omega is a 15k word, non-shifter, MMMMM, mpreg, omegaverse romance

Adorable mpreg OV with four lacrosse playing alphas and one librarian twink Omega 😍 Smutty and sweet - exactly what I want in a short OV romance. I’ll definitely be checking out more in this series!

Wowzers...

This story was brought to my attention by those who know my reading habits well. I prefer as many m's as a writer will put in and this one did not disappoint.

Slight spoilers

In here we have Ash, an omega working in a library. One day the captain of the adult lacrosse team shows up to book a meeting room. Eventually, he gets to know four of the alphas from the team.

Ok so this was the first slow burn erotica that I have ever read. The story literally is a monthly time jump of basically seeing them once a week, with a surprise visit by one of the four here and there. These five did not spend any real time together. Then around 60% Ash goes into heat on the last night of the meetings and the four alphas help him through it while in the library. There is even a dp scene. We also find out that these four also are in a polycule already.

Ash has a friend who is his boss and he is interested in another player and I guess he also is with multiple alphas as well, considering the ending. But there was no details given about them.

Ash does get bred and has three babies.

This had minor editing issues but not enough to take you out of the story. My nitpick is the use of months instead of chapters. Also multiple pov would have helped with knowing what the alphas were feeling.

Team’s Omega is the first book in the ‘Gimme MMMMMore’ series. It stars Ash, an omega librarian, and four Alphas from a lacrosse team. This is told in first person from Ash’s pov.

The blurb gives a decent rundown of the plot. It pairs four Alpha males with one omega in heat. Each chapter designates one month as the story moves through time. What we get is one scene each month, so time passes quickly. The fast progression helps in that it shows how Ash grows more attracted to each of the Alphas and how he gets to know them, although we’re only shown a quick snippet of who each of the Alphas are. There isn’t much depth to this book because it doesn’t go deeply into the relationships.

A lot of the story is taken up with Ash talking to his best friend about every day stuff, like what’s happening at the library and what they’re going to do for the day, and about food. I found the beginning chapters incredibly flat and boring. The dialogue and plot felt planned and forced. For me, the only part of the book that wasn’t boring were the scenes when Ash went into heat and had sex with the Alphas. At least they weren’t talking about mundane everyday stuff.

As to the characters, they were okay. Nothing stood out about them and I’ll forget about them once I finish writing this review.

Normally, I don’t mind reading this author’s stories and give them at least three to four stars. But this book was a complete miss. I don’t know if it’s the whole series or just this first book that’s this way. I do have the second book and plan on reading it. I wouldn’t recommend this story unless you can get it for free. I give, Team’s Omega, 2 Stars.

I love Lacey Daize and her sweet low angst books. However, I prefer one on one relationships. I’ve read a few 3 way books that I enjoyed, but they are the exception. So, I could only give this three stars. I’ve got the next book, but I guess for now I’m just going to skip it.

A pretty cute nerd/jock romance with four alphas in love and the omega they add to their polyamorous quad, making it a… polygon? Yeah. Anyway, this was short and cute. Despite the length I feel like I got a decent feel for each character, and I enjoyed the sex scene and how they found their low-angst HEA.

Perfectly cute and short!

3.5 stars for me, rounded up because I did enjoy this one! I just wish it were a longer story with fewer time jumps, and more time spent where the group of them could really get to know each other. I did love how everything started, with the alphas flirting and checking in with Ash individually, that was cute.

I also notice that the next books in this series get longer in word count, so I'm hoping that each book will grow in terms of storytelling, too!

2.5 mild salsa stars

Excessive snow shovelling
Half story half spice
4 Alphas flirt with an Omega until he makes a life changing choice
There is indeed Mpreg

I had hopes! Sadly this fell just short of the mark for me. It was long enough I felt like i should have been more emotionally invested in Ash but really I was more interested in the flirty dudes that pop in and out of the first 60% of the book. The last 40% of the book felt like it moved lightning fast as at least 25% of it was medium salsa level spice.

I liked the writing in this, and there were some strong scenes in here, but unfortunately for such a short book there were so many unnecessary scenes, but also so many necessary scenes that were left out. I could have used WAY more time getting to know the men on the team, and way less time of Ash just chatting to his friend about nothing. I was expecting this to be erotica, but there's only one and a half sex scenes, and while the sex scene is well-written, I don't actually know who any of the teammates are because they've all been on-page for maybe 3 seconds each, and their names mean nothing to me. Only Tyler gets a description of what he looks like.

And if the book had ended right after the first sex scene I would have been willing to give it a 4 star review. But then it just keeps going for another 30 pages of Ash having another pointless conversation with his friend (setting up the plot for the second book, I guess - I always hate when authors do this instead of focusing on the main characters of the book I'm actually reading), and then little vignettes of a pregnancy that isn't even worth my time. Like the last 30% could have been scrapped and just had the very last scene of him giving birth be the epilogue, and it would have been a way better book.

This book either needed to be longer (so each character actually gets developed), or shorter (just to cut off the unnecessary fat and just be porn without plot - not that there is much plot to begin with, but you know what I mean)

𝗥𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴: 3.5 ⭐️

So Ash is an omega who works at a library. He tends to work the later shift so one night the alpha captain of a local lacrosse team, Tyler, stops by and reserves an AV room every Thursday night for him and about 20 other alphas to review game footage. Over the course of several months, Ash gets to know a handful of the gorgeous alphas and experience things he only wished for.

Over the course of a few months, he’s drawn to Tyler, Garrett, Nate, and Miguel. There’s flirting and Ash and his best friend, Jace, go to a few lacrosse games but it isn’t until Ash goes into heat one Thursday night that things get serious. The four alphas turn out to be together and they want Ash as their omega. We get one powerful, sexy, detailed scene between the five of them and then we get some mpreg and cute moments.

It wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t really GOOD. We barely get to know the guys and while we get a little personality, the story needed much more to be better than an “okay” read. Not sorry I read it though because it was super quick!

University librarian Ash is an omega who has never found his perfect match. He drools over the lacrosse team who meet in the library each week but is entranced by four alphas in particular. Luckily he doesn’t have to choose as the four alphas welcome him into their established group in a steamy impregnation scene.

Told from Ash’s POV, this is a sweet & spicy super-quick MPREG read (79 pp, 1hr 40 min audio) that zips along in short chapters to cover the meet-bond-birth timeframe. Due to the short, sharp pace, we get to know Ash and his best friend, Jace, the most … the others make a series of cameo appearances. For those who like their MPREG high steam and no angst. US voice actor Richard Pendragon does a great job of catching the light, sweet & sexy tone on the audio.

An amazing start to a hook-worthy series!

Even though I have read book 3 & 4 already, it was high time for me to start this at the beginning, and lemme say I was NOT disappointed!

As is the norm with Lacey (on the books I’ve read so far), this short story was full of fluff, cuteness overload, and all the alphas needed for a cute omega to have.

Def worth reading if you’re looking for a quick read omegaverse fluff!

What to expect in this book:
-MMMMM Omegaverse Romance
-Jock x Nerd (lacrosse players x gamer librarian)
-Some Slow burn
-Fast paced short story
-Time Skips (well done tho)
-Everyone are boyfriends (iykyk)
-Mpreg
-HEA

Overview:
Overall: 5/5
Storyline: 5/5
Smut: 10000000/5
The feels it made me feel: 5/5

Not sure what I expected from this tbh. I got the five book collection on audible as it was cheap and I figured they’d be quick and easy reads - which this was. There’s not much plot, but a little buildup; the narrator is an omega who works in the library at a university, and one day an alpha stops by and asks about reserving a study room, which leads to a whole lacrosse team showing up once a week for ages, and the omega is particularly drawn to not one, not two, not three, but four of them. So we end up with a story with a quintuple; that’s certainly a first for me!

As I said, not a lot of plot and character development, but quite smutty. Omegaverse, non-shifters, but definitely contains mpreg.

Omega Ash helps a lacrosse team reserve a viewing room in the library where he works. The team has exquisite looking Alphas. The team captain, Tyler flirts endlessly as does Nate. They invite Ash and his supervisor Jace to a few games as well as a few after parties.

Right before his heat, Tyler, Nate, and their boyfriends stay after their av appointment and the 5 men have some sexy times in the library.

This was a sweet, quick read.

"Team's Omega" is a delightful, quick read that feels just right. It's perfect for when you need something light and refreshing after heavier books. The story flows naturally, and despite its brevity, it never feels rushed.

The characters are charming and their interactions bring a lot of warmth to the story. The romance is sweet and adds a nice touch. If you're not familiar with the Omegaverse M/M tropes, this book offers a fast-paced introduction. Overall, it's a cute and enjoyable book that leaves you smiling. If you're looking for a lighthearted escape, this is a great pick!

I feel like I’m always surprised when I read/ listen to shorter stories how…rushed? Incomplete? it feels. For a shorter story it was enjoyable don’t get me wrong; however, i believe id have enjoyed it more had it been longer. That’s definitely the hard part with shorter books is that i don’t feel as if i had enough time to know the characters and their story feels like it started and then ended with no middle ground. For what it was i did find it enjoyable and did enjoy the little snippets i got of the characters.

I think that I've just found a real guilty pleasure in this novella which was my first time from omegaverse and mpreg and I really enjoyed that even though it may be weird to others. I think that I will continue with other novellas and books by Lacey Daize as her writing style suits me and it was really easy to read (and listen as I also had an audiobook to this one). If you are also new to this subgenre I can only recommend it, but please count with the fact that the spice level is really high.

Cavity inducing

This book is so sweet that you'll have cavities after. *lame I know;p* This is a great read, very well written. There were only a couple of grammatical errors, but not so many that it distracts from the read. You'll enjoy this book if you love sweetness overload. I recommend you go out and buy this book or, as in my case, buy the digital copy.

Cute quick read.

If you’re in the mood for light and fluffy, with several helpings of hot alpha, and cute babies, look no further!

Our nerdy librarian gets all he’s ever dreamed of and more, when the local lacrosse team needs to reserve a room for reviewing tape. Whatever will the alpha’s do when his heat starts while at work? Grab your copy and find out!

OK, I only dip my toes into the Alpha/Omega world now and then, my interest is still in the nursery stages, but I'm enjoying it. This one is flipping hot as heck at one point as we have four Alpha's claiming one cute little Omega, an Omega just going into heat. A teensy bit over the top but, so what, it's fun and sexy read.

Quick, cute read

This was a nice, quick read. This author is a first for me but I definitely find myself looking forward to more books from them (Jace anyone?).

Nice and steamy but I definitely like the build up and flirting each individual partner had with Ash before their relationship started.

For a short story, this was good. We spent the first half of the book getting to know the characters, so it didn’t feel unrealistic when they finally got together. The second half of the book seemed to fly by as it was mostly all just steamy scenes. I liked Ash, the librarian, and all of the Alphas that he met on the lacrosse team.

Slow start for a strong finish

At the beginning I was a little meh. I wasn't turned away but it felt a little off. I really liked the month by month play. However once the alphas popped in, and the flirting? Hella cute! And the big heat scene was very hot. Overall I really liked this! And the end was cute as well.

This was overall meh. A 5-person relationship needs to have way more character work. This is also very short, but our MC spends more time being a librarian than in a romance. It did make me think about how omegaverse acts like a layer as if using those tropes/set up are an excuse to not have world building.

This was all really great until the last chapter. I hated that each dad didn’t get their own kid. Yes I totally did deduct a star from a detail from something I don’t even like (mpreg).

I love the idea of omegaverse until they’re actually pregnant/having the baby. I have never enjoyed that part. Not even once.

The 30 page breeding chapter was pretty great though.
