The book breaks down fear, and looks at taking small steps, building the momentum, and dreaming big. The structure is very easy to follow with plenty of suggestions.

Mired in the Negative… How About Positive Action??

I agree with the author in one respect: we should dream big if we have aspirations, but we should start small, in bite-size chunks while we maintain and thrive in our current life as we build that dream. I disagree, however, with the two most significant issues the author seems to think hold us back from pursuing our big dreams: fear and procrastination. From my experience and what I've seen in other people as they work to achieve their dreams, these aren't what hold them or me back. I don't really see fear as being a part of it whatsoever, until you decide to make that not-so-small step to fully transition from what you've been doing to keep yourself going to living your dream. But for most of us, it takes a while to get to that place, and by the time you reach that precipice, you've hopefully laid a foundation so that it feels like a small leap rather than a giant chasm to try to get across safely. I don't feel procrastination, in and of itself, is a major hurdle, even though “adulting” does take up most of our time. It ends up being a matter of priorities. Although I do think the author spends far too much time on the fear and procrastination aspects and not enough on the “start small” actions of this, the book has nuggets to mine, but further along the book, at least for me. You may find this a worthwhile read if you have big dreams and fear or procrastination is part of what's holding you back.

The author lays out how to achieve one's big dream, or goal, step-by-step from start to finish. He introduces the necessity of baby steps and visualization in moving forward to reach the desired end result. The book could benefit from some editing especially surrounding plurals and verbs.
