“ I’ve been searching a long time for you, Azrael.” “ And what makes you so desperate?” “ Because you’re the only one who can protect me.”
Peter and Michael are supposed to be retired. Living off the fat of their last job. But retirement bores them stiff. That is until they meet computer hacker John Harker who begs for their protection, before revealing that he has recently come into possession of certain “files” belonging to a secretive organization. The two former assassins agree to harbor the eccentric—even if it’s only for the entertainment value. Skeptical of his “new world order” conspiracies. But when Harker is murdered in their custody, the two find themselves wanted by both the police and several clandestine entities desperate to get their hands on the stolen files. Fugitives of the law, Peter and Michael are in a race against time to find out what is in the encrypted files, and survive long enough to uncover a terrible plot that could change the balance of world power forever.

I just wanted to let you know that this Mr Archer IS INDEED the same as the of this book! I'm stunned that he wrote this book as well!! I'm am more willing to read the next book in this series (IF ONLY) to prove I can!!
This book is very different from my normal genre. I like mystery books and I enjoy most of the (WhoDoneIt). I also read every day and seldom start reading a book that is not my normal go to! The time was not wasted because I read this entire book, some if the time I was hanging on by my fingernails!! Very interesting story that continues and starts the next in series! Unfortunately, because I have about 300 books on my reading list I don't want to discourage anyone with my prejudices of this type of book. I've worked most of my life so now I m ready to sit still and read books I love! please don't judge this book by my review.
Good addition to the series. Simple, but fun read!
Book four didn't quite have the same suspense or intrigue as previous novel in the series. The book started off well but it was a little discombobulated putting the story together; it just randomly threw past characters together to put a story and plot that seemed a little too contrived. That said it was a fun overall ride with moments of suspense. These novels are unique in how they're written but the dialogue remains good, and the characters remain true to themselves throughout this book and the series. It was a good simple airport read that's fun and fast-paced.
Jack Reacher meets James Bond meets Mission Impossible —- in other words, long on action, short on plot. Action scene descriptions go on more than necessary to the degree you forget the point of the fight. Nothing wrong with a formula that works to hook adrenaline junkies.
This was the best book in series. Peter and Michael really came to the rescue of CIA. It was sad that Clara had to die. But in end Lena was taken care of and the Chinese refuted. Michael sustained slot of punishment but held up. And the Deputy Director of CIA kept his promise to take both off USA most wanted list. 10 stars plus !!!! Thanks, Carl Clause
Wow... I've never ridden a Ducati but I sure felt like I was there weaving in and around traffic. This was a book that had you captured almost immediately. I thenjoyed this book but am not going to spoil it for you...just read it ASAP
they're on a roll! just wish their editors were too. consistently lots of typos and spelling and punctuation errors. yes. they can be overlooked, but are still distracting. the two best bad guys in the world should have their stories told by the two best writers and their staffs.
I like that the heroes were always a step ahead. However, sometimes by a razor thin edge, so it made for so very close shaves, pun intended. Overall, it's an enjoyable book and series, so I'd suggest if you enjoy the good guys winning. Plus them playing for their own team right or wrong then give this series a chance.
Very fast paced. Peter and Michael save the world with a little help from their friends. Makes me wonder if fiction might be imitating fact with how our world is right now. Scary.....hope we have a Peter and Michael to come to the rescue!!
While trying to get used to a normal life, a stranger appears that is asking for help. Wanting some excitement again takes priority, but Peter and Michael might be underestimating the situation. This is a wild and brutal ride!
Peter & Mitchel escape death and find success again
This close-knit team of assassins struggles against all odds, gets double crossed but finds a way to deliver an explosive ending. You can’t put this story down.
Finding the twosome in Japan, not the scene of too many action books. Fortresses, gangs, traditional tattoos are involved. A little twist at the end. Mainly Peter this book, a determined man.
