Nestled Hollow #5

Love Again at the Heart of Main Street

Rate this book
Tory is living her dream running her own coffee shop, Love a Latte, and raising four young kids. But her divorce left her doing it all on her own and not always succeeding. She'd consider marrying again someday-- as long as the man was the complete opposite of her ex. But she really has no hope of that, because who would ever willingly step into her chaotic life?

Not only has Nate's marriage failed, but during the entire time he was married, he'd failed at convincing his ex that they should start a family. Now he keeps busy with his construction company to keep him from dwelling on what he's lost. Or on how his divorce has left him with little faith that he could ever be a successful husband to anyone.

When a tree falls on Love a Latte during a lightning storm, causing extensive damage to the building, Nate steps in to help Tory rebuild. As the damaged building is being mended, can working side-by-side also mend their damaged hearts?

Awww! I love Nestled Hollow so much! It was great to return to this town and the characters that I've come to know after reading/listening to the different books in this series. They're like friends that I get to see little glimpses of throughout the other characters' books. I've been excited to read Tory's story and see her get a happy ever after.

Tory's little shop name makes me smile, Love a Latte. It's a great gathering place for friends to come in and say hello while getting a drink or treat. I thought it was great how as a single mother she was able to make sure she was helping and being with her children as well as running her business and being a good friend to those around her. She's a pretty tough opponent and great defender of her family and friends. I enjoyed watching her in different situations throughout the story. Moments when she needed to reach out and help as well as comfort and accept help.

Nate has had his own share of heartache and disappointments. I laughed a few times at the beginning before he was introduced but the author shows Tory watching him and acknowledging that she has feelings towards him even though she's not sure she's ready to move on after her divorce. Nate is also divorced and has his own moments of recognizing Tory and leaning towards sharing his feelings towards her. I thought the author did a great job of portraying the lives of two divorced individuals starting to open up their hearts again and allow for love. Tory and Nate have a sweet relationship and love story. I didn't want to stop listening (I listened to an audiobook) so I kept right on listening nonstop, straight through the book today. It was a rainy and gloomy day today so what better way than to curl up with a great audiobook!

This is another hit for me in the Nestled Hollow series. If you've been debating about this series and enjoy a sweet small town story with sweet romance and great, down to earth characters, this is a series I'd definitely recommend. You can read them out of order or in order. Either way, they're great!

Content: Clean. Some aspects of divorce. Nothing more than some sweet kisses.

Happy Reading!!!

I read Second Chance on the Corner of Main by Meg Easton a couple of months ago and I loved it. It was way exciting to see that there was another book in this same series. I love how the author is writing about all the characters in Nestled Hollow. They are all kind of intertwined so the reader gets to “see” how they’re doing in each consecutive book. And each book stands alone, that makes it even better.

This book was a quick read for me. I read the whole thing in an afternoon. That’s my favorite way to read a book. This book has great characters, a fun plot, and a great ending. I didn’t want to put it down.

Tory is one of those amazing mothers who seem to be able to do it all. She has 4 kids who keep her busy, and she’s a single mom. Tory runs the shop Love a Latte on Main Street in Nestled Hollow. I loved the way Tory was with her kids. She worked hard, and taught them to do the same. It was fun to see the kinds of things she did to get her kids to like to work. I may have to steal some of her ideas.

Nate runs a construction company. It’s a busy time of year for him, and he has a lot going on. But he jumps in to help Tory when a tree falls on her shop. On his own time. I loved the way he went out of his way to help her. And watching him with Tory’s kids was fun. It’s always great when the male characters like kids.

I loved the plot of this one. It’s fast paced, light and fun. This would be a perfect summer read for lounging in the sand or by the pool.

I haven't read the other books in this series yet. But I plan to after reading this one.

Since I started with Book 4, I can safely say that these are standalone novels, but I'm betting they are best read as a series. There are definitely many characters whose stories I'd like to read about.

Tory and Nate both have backstories with depth that are the crux of all their issues as a couple trying to come together. I found the plot believeable, the characters emotionally accessible, and the romance perfectly seasoned with the right amount of sweet and kisses without being steamy. I liked the build up though could've used a little more afterglow once they finally got together before jumping into the epilogue. But that didn't stop me from enjoyings this satisfying read.

I recommend this book, and have other books in this series ready to read on my kindle.

Another great book!! Loved Nate and Tory's story!! The kids added another dimension, but totally made the book believable. Loved how they both overcame the difficulties in their previous marriages, and yet used those to grow into the people they were meant to be, but to also realize that they weren't each others exes and that they weren't the horrid people their exes made them think they were.

This was a story about two people from failed relationships. Both divorced. One with kids, one without. Both trying to fix themselves and their broken dreams. Tory is a mother of four and an owner of a coffee shop. Nate is also a business owner who works construction. They live in a small town and have met when he comes to get coffee. After her business is damaged Nate agrees to be the contractor helping to repair the business. The characters are both very kind people. I like how they are down to earth but don’t like how hard they are on themselves. It is a sweet clean romance.

Before I begin, I would like to thank Meg Easton for allowing me to read her book, Love Again at the Heart of Main Street, which is part of her Nestled Hollow series and is available on Amazon.

Tory enjoys running her coffee shop, Love A Latte and raising her four young kids. Her recent divorce left her figuring out both her business and parenting on her own, and she’s not afraid to admit she’s made mistakes. She wouldn’t mind remarrying as long as her future partner is the opposite of her ex. Nate is too busy working at his construction company to consider dating, especially after divorcing his ex after spending many years asking her to start a family. A tree crashes into Love A Latte, and Nate works with Tory to get the extensive and much-needed repairs done. Can Nate and Tory learn how to heal from their pasts, and perhaps make room in their hearts for something new?

This book was really cute. You have Tory, a hardworking, strong, creative, and protective young woman that is doing her best raising her four children and working at her small business coffee shop. You have Nate, a kind, talented, and handsome owner of the construction company that does his best to give back to his community. Tory’s children were charming and realistic, and I loved how both Tory and Nate interacted with them. Tory and Nate’s exes definitely needed a stern talking to about how they handled things with the main characters and the children involved. I loved the interactions between Tory and Nate and thought that their fears were relatable. It was a joy to see familiar faces and be at Nestled Hollow again. Overall, if you like humor, great family dynamics, coffee, complex characters, cute kids, and single parent/divorced person small-town sweet romance with low amounts of spice, then I would highly recommend this book. The frazzled single mom & the guy who saves her

Single mom and entrepreneur, Tory can sometimes come across as a hot mess. What with four elementary school kids and running her coffee shop, she’s not always on top of things. When a lightning strike causes a tree to crash into her shop, she’s at wits end...she can’t wait for several months for repairs! The shop is her only source of income. In comes construction company owner, Nate, to the rescue. Nate has his own baggage and insecurities...with an ex wife whom he could never please, and didn’t want kids, as well as an ex gf who was pretty much the same. Then there is Tory...Nate shouldn’t start to admire, respect and like her, but that’s exactly what’s happening. Tory hasn’t given up on finding a lasting love and marriage, she just wants someone who could see beyond her 4 kids and her sometimes drama. She finds Nate attractive and the duo begin to date...can there really be an HEA in store? One of the reasons that I enjoy this series is that it’s about relatable people...no billionaires here, just honest, hardworking people. Love catching up with characters from prior books. Looking forward to Alete’s story next.
I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Love Again at the Heart of Main Street is the fifth book in the Nestled Hollow series. While some previous characters may make an appearance, this can absolutely be enjoyed as a standalone with no issues as well.

This was such a good story. It definitely started off with some excitement, when a tree falls onto Tory's coffee shop. Being a single mom of four, she needs the building fixed fast, so her income won't likewise take a hit. Nate steps in to help despite his already crazy schedule. It was really hard not to love these two. First, they're both selfless and genuinely good people that you want to root for. Aside from that, they both have some scars left over from their previous marriages that they had to work through, which made me hope for their happily ever after all that much more. I loved seeing them overcome those issues throughout the story and it definitely made the characters feel more real. The kids (and pets) definitely add some fun moments too! This was another great visit to Nestled Hollow and I look forward to the next one.

**I received an ARC for consideration. All opinions are my own.

Meg has given us feel good small town romance at its best.
There’s an instant attraction between Tory and Nate right after a devastating storm destroys part of Tory’s business. Nate jumps in to help her, but each of them finds out in love and life we are our own worst enemy.
Tori is a divorced mother of four who feels like she’s out of control. No guy will ever stick around. She’s a mess—Nate sees the fantastic, creative mom and kind-hearted, attractive shop owner that she is.
Nate always wanted to be a dad, but doesn’t feel like he’s good enough. He failed at marriage once and was left devastated and alone.
He can’t do it.—Tory sees the hard-working, good looking, kind man that he is.
Each one must wrestle with their own personal insecurities while the attraction grows. Is love worth the risk?
Throughout the story the author brings tears and laughter, writing with humor the true to life chaos that comes from being a mother. The kids are individuals with clear personalities, and their own level of insecurities.
This was a fun, easy read.

I don’t know how Tory does it as single mom of four children running her own business. It’s great how she gets the older ones to help the younger ones out and make a game out of things like chores to encourage them to participate. Thankfully she has plenty of friends in Nestled Hollow, which she finds out when a tree crashes through Love a Latte during a storm. Tory and Nate are attracted to each other, but they both have hang-ups. Tory had to be the responsible one married to a man-child who had trouble holding onto a job, so she became the strong one. But she thinks she comes off as too tough now. Plus who would want to take on her chaos. Nate was hurt by his ex-wife who never made him feel good enough and she never wanted children with him. He wonders if that means he’d be a terrible dad and dating Tory means an instant family. They both have a lot to overcome to find happiness together.

This is the second audiobook by this author I listen to, and once again, I fell in love with the story.
This is a clean, sweet, and touching romance about two individuals that have been hurt in love. Neither looking for or expecting to once again, find true love.
Tory is the town’s coffee shop owner and the single mom of 4 delightfully mischievous and sweet kids. Nate owns a construction company. He’s always wanted kids, but his ex was not interested and made him feel he didn’t measure up to her standards.
When a storm destroys Tori’s coffee shop, Nate steps in to help her rebuild. Neither expecting that feelings for each other would surface.
But each has emotional baggage. Will they be able to find a way to get a second chance at love, or will that will always stay a dream that never came through?
Though I’ve only listened to 2 of the stories in this series, I assure you that now I want to listen to other stories by this author.

two broken hearts find a way towards each other

3,5⭐ I loved Tory's strength and courage and I loved Nate's kindness and thoughtfulness. I think they are perfect for each other. I only wished there was more interaction with the kids. To become part of a broken family really takes a lot of bravery and Nate didn't feel he will measure up. Both he and Tory were divorced, dealing with their feelings of inadequateness. But Tory had the added burden of four kids. I mean four! - why did she get as many as four with a man she began to realize is not suited for a husband at child number 1? Anyway... I mostly liked this story, but as I said I wish there was more bonding between Nate and the kids and maybe then the ending would have clicked more with me.
This is 4th is a series, but can be read as a stand alone.
Narrative: 3rd person following Tory and Nate
Religion: mild
Sensuality: clean, only kissing; talk of infidelity in marriage

Hmm.....Two people dealing with the baggage left over from previous marriages and subsequent divorces. You wouldn't think that premise would make for an entertaining, mostly lighthearted, small town romance, but it absolutely does.

Nate and Tory had great chemistry. I couldn't help but cheer for the success of their relationship. They each were dealing with different kinds of craziness in their lives, never really expecting to start a new relationship.

It was sad how self esteem issues from their previous marriages reared there ugly heads causing Nate and Tory to step away from one another. Luckily, that did not last too long.

This book is sweet and romantic. You get an epilogue and an HEA. A 4.5 Star read that will have you smiling throughout most of it, and especially at the end.

I voluntarily read and reviewed this book received from the author.

I think that this might be my favorite in the series so far. It was difficult subject matter, dealing with the aftermath of what divorce might do to a family and individuals. Though I've not been divorced, I think it was pretty realistic. The biggest conflict in this book was the insecurities of each of the main characters. They really fought themselves. I particularly liked that Nate didn't just make assumptions even as things appeared to be against him but fought his own demons instead of blaming Tory. I thought Tory was an incredible mother. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have the patience she had. And Nate was obviously going to be a great dad. I also think the kid spats and mishaps were realistic.

This was an enjoyable, clean, cute read.

No sex, language or violence

Wow, Love Again at the Heart of Main Street was such a beautiful read/listen! I loved getting to know both Tory and Nate, along with Tory's family (4 kids). I loved that we get to see other familiar faces from previous books in the series, all while learning a bit more about the ins and outs of running a coffee shop and a construction company. I loved how the imperfections of both MCs are what makes them perfect for each other, as well as how the vulnerability was just what their relationship needed. Of course, the epilogue was just perfect and had one of the sweetest moments in all the book (considering all previous interactions between Cody and Nate).

As for the narrator, she was fantastic (as ever ;) ) with all the range of voices she managed to portray (and keep straight :P), as well as all of their emotions. Seriously, well done!
Completely recommended! ~ 5 stars

This book is amazing. It was well written with believable and likeable characters. It brings out the problems of a divorced mother, with how she feels, and interacts with her family. Torey and Nate are both likeable characters with problems of the past that hold them back. I loved the flow of the book, it is paced perfectly with character development. I love how the community works together in time of need. I love how the book is clean and about family. The storyline moves at a great pace to maintain your interest and keep you wanting more. I hated to have this book end. If you enjoy clean family books without frank sex or foul language this is the book for you. I highly recommend this book

Both Tory and Nate have been through difficult marriages and divorces that have left scars on them. They are attracted to each other but wary of dating. When a tree takes out the front of Tory's coffee shop, Nate knows that he is the only contractor available to help her. They work together and spend time together and decide to give dating a try. But there is a lot of chaos in Tory's life, and neither one of them is sure if they can handle more. Fortunately, they have good friends and family to help set them straight.
I listened to the audiobook of this and enjoyed it very much. The narrator has a very smooth voice that is easy to listen to. She also did a great job capturing Nate's big heart, Tory's strength, and the personalities of each of Tory's children.

This book starts off with a "bang" and just like lightening quickly drew me into the story. I could not put the book down. Both of the main characters are divorced and trying to move on and find themselves. Tory is also the mother to four children. I liked how the two main characters supported each other and made the other person a better person. I also enjoyed the people and festivities in the small town of Nestle Hollow I really enjoyed their finding love and hope after divorce. You cannot help but fall in love with the characters and Nestle Hollow. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

Another great story in Nestled Hollow. Tory owns the coffee shop that is the heart of the town, but during a storm a huge tree falls on the front of the building. She can’t afford to be closed, since she’s a single mother of 4 kids, so she doesn’t know what to do. But builder Nate figures out how to get the townspeople to help with cleanup and framing, then he works nights on it himself. They both have issues, thinking they can’t be a part of a couple. But gradually, with a little push from friends and family, they realize they can do it. I loved this whole series and hope there’s going to be more.

This is the delightful story of Tory and Nate. Both are divorced and Tory has four children and a business of her own. She is one very busy lady! Nate also owns his own business - a construction company that is booked solid. A tree falls during a lightning storm heavily damaging Tory’s coffee shop. Even though Nate is booked he comes after his jobs to help her get her business open again. As she stops by to help where she can, she discovers what a good person Nate is. This is a wonderful, feel good story that you don’t want to miss!

This sweet clean romance was so good! I listened to the audio version narrated by Liz Krane and I absolutely loved it. It's heartwarming and just what I needed right now.

It is the story of a divorced mom with four kids trying to do it all, including running her own business. Tory doesn't know what she's going to do when a tree that's hit by lightning smashes into her coffee shop. The guy in town that comes to her rescue with the ability to repair it, just may also repair her heart!

Thanks to the author for the gifted copy. All thoughts are my own.

I had a free copy of this book, but this is my voluntary and honest opinion. Tory is divorced and raising four young children while running her coffee shop – Love A Latte. Things are going well until a tree falls on her store and contractors are all too busy to repair it, except Nate. His marriage failed and he had a couple other failed relationships, but he and Tory are drawn to each other. He finds a way to repair her shop and falls in love with her in the process. They both have issues to overcome including his self-concept, and her independence. An interesting book worth reading.

“Love Again at the Heart of Main Street” by Meg Easton
A Nestled Hollow Romance, Book 4 Narrated by Liz Krane
Second Chances for a Good Marriage
I loved my time within this story. A story of surviving the end of failed marriages when left feeling less than worthy of a loving partner. With the right partner everything may not always be perfect but everything will be faced together and managed, somehow. A very good listen. This title is in my audio library.
Note: This review expresses my honest opinion.

Meg Easton tells the story of two people who are still strongly influenced by the effects of their divorces on their self esteem. Our minds can be our own worse enemies and Tory and Nate must work though those issues. I loved how they could not see themselves the way those around them saw them. Her characters were interesting and the story line kept me involved. I enjoyed reading this story.

When a fallen tree crush the front of coffee shop Love a Latte, Tory’s dreams are crushed too. Without money income it will be difficult to raise her four kids alone. Even with all the work piling in Nate’s building company, he offers to help Tory reconstruct her business with the help of townspeople. Can two divorced people find trust in love and marriage again? A sweet love story about second chances, love, happiness and family.

Starting Over

Nate was divorced and just ended his last relationship. Feeling he will never have a wife and family of his own. Tory owner of Love a Latte and single Mom of 4 wondering if she will never find love again. Meg has written a wonderful story with strong and believable characters. Their emotional feelings about their lives shines through. I really loved the book and couldn't put it down.

The adult characters were fantastic. Some of the dialogue for the kids was written too old for the character...
ALL of the family interactions were awesome, though.... as was the story!

I kinda love/hate it when characters think they aren't good enough for each other and choose to walk away instead of seeing it as a challenge to be better. You just know they were broken by a previous relationship.
