Uber Death: Memoir of a Body Transporter

Rate this book
This is a compilation of observations from the perspective of a morgue transporter. I took a break from the death care profession for several years and returned to briefly find it unchanged.

During my most recent gig, I was doing long-distance morgue to funeral home deliveries. Previously, I did scene removals for local murders, suicides, and accidental deaths.

I went into embalming after a term of military service during which I was trained in Mortuary Affairs. This led to a series of jobs centered around the disposition of human remains and I’ve acquired a well-rounded perspective on the industry. It’s quite an undertaking and most are shielded from the worst of it.

Hopefully, this book will give those who want to know more than they need.
