Malton returns in the next gritty and gripping instalment in the bestselling Manchester underworld series.

ONE BOY DEAD

Craig Malton rules Manchester, solving crimes for criminals and flying under the police's radar. When he's called to a murder scene before the cops can get their hands on it, he senses something is wrong. Someone is trying to make Zak Alquist's murder look like something it's not.

ONE BOY MISSING

Lesha's son was murdered years ago, so when a local boy goes missing, she feels the sting only a bereaved mother can. But this is more than just a teenage runaway. On the missing boy's phone is a photo of him - and murder victim Zak Alquist.

This is the 3rd book in the series, and for me, the best so far, the books just keep getting better and better.
I love the characters of Malton and Dean,Malton is a hardened gangster with a level of kindness within him,and Dean has the kindness but loves the world his working in with his boss.
I wasn't ready for this book to end at all, but it has left the reader in no doubt that there will be a follow on which can't come quick enough for me.If your a lover of gangland thrillers this authors books are a must.A real pacy page turner.

The characters are well-developed, but Craig's character is complex. I seem to have missed out on the second book in this series, so I'll have to rectify that soon. This is a well written and plotted gangland thriller. Craig Malton rules Manchester's underworld. There were parts when I was on the edge of my seat. Filled with twists and suspense, I did not want to put this gripping and fast-paced book down.

I would like to thank #NetGalley #HodderStoughton and the author #SamTobin for my ARC of #WindUPDead in exchange for an honest review.

Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for an arc of this title.. craig malton rules the manchester underworld, solving crimes no one else can, his way.. when he is tipped to get to a murder scene before the police, something isn't right!! But what??
Leeshas son was murdered many years ago, and when a local boy goes missing, a picture on his phone could hold the answer. Is it connected?
Can leesha and malton manage to sort the problem before more blood is shed? I really enjoyed thi. It was gritty, action packed, i was drawn into the underworld characters. Highley recommend

I really wanted to enjoy this book but I just couldn't get into it at all... Took me a week to get 100 pages in! So many characters and just didn't grab me at all.

Craig Malton is back for another round of thuggery, buggery and skullduggery.

Tobin's 3rd book in the Manchester Underworld is his best yet: taut, pithy prose, non-stop action, genuinely frightening villains & a huge cast of supporting characters.

Tobin continues to work his signature theme of duality: characters who cross lines of race, sexuality, class, geography and find themselves outsiders either side. Moreover this is his love letter to Manchester: the depth of his feelings for his city it's history and the lives of the people who live and in his books, frequently die horribly, there.
