I go into billionaire Jax Vaughn’s office looking for a job. When I come out, it’s with an indecent proposal.
Jax
Not everybody has a price. But everybody has a weakness, and I’ll find Adalia Ross’s if it’s the last thing I do.
The little angel refused my proposition, but we both know, it’s only a matter of time until I’ll have my twisted way with her.
From the moment I saw her, desire raged through me, making me rock hard. It’s been a long time since a woman had this effect on me.
This little angel opened up Pandora’s box, and there’s no closing down that lid again.
I’m a ruthless, relentless bastard, and now, I’m obsessed.
So welcome to the devil’s den, little angel. One way in, no way out. Because who would choose to stay with the broken monster lurking in the dark?
This is a dark romance! Mind the triggers listed at the beginning of the book! If this isn’t your cup of tea, please move on. If it is, prepare to dive into a deliciously dark love story set in the heart of Manhattan.
⚠️⚠️This is a dark duet, not for all readers.⚠️⚠️ Plenty of triggers such as humiliation, degradation, dub con and more.
I liked the plot and the characters, as well as their development.
Jax was a psycho, sometimes even a monster, toxic, depraved, possessive, and he had my attention since the last page. Regarding Addie, her backbone could have been stronger.
“Marry me, and I’ll put the world at your feet, little angel. Refuse, and see it fall apart around you like it’s the fucking apocalypse.” Jax
The cliffhanger was intriguing and had me anxiously grabbing the next part!!! 😱
His Twisted Fantasy is Fabulous and the first book in Ana C. Blacklace new dark romance series and it comes out of the gate with a whole lot hot and twisted word play and sex!!! This is a darkly delicious stalker romance with a guy who might look like a prince but between his actions and words is more like Hades!!! He is so very twisted and manipulative and he uses humiliation and force to make his point. But, and theirs a But! He's very attentive and does give pleasure as well as take it.And we do get little glimpses of his past and inkling's of what happened to the innocent young man that went to prison to save his brother and see that theirs more to him. The only one who knows the true story and what really happened is his best friend billionaire Declan Santori ( the bull) who he has a close relationship with but Delcan has dark secrets as well. The chemistry between Addie and Jax is nuclear and the sex hot and rough! Addie isn't a victim but a fighter and Jax has let her in more then any other woman, but he hates what she makes him feel!! This is just the beginning and book 2 comes out in May. I can't wait!!!! This is too complexed to wrap up quickly. With so many awesome characters and back stories I need answers!!! Ana Calin is without a doubt a fabulous writer and under this new name for writing very dark romance I see great things to come. Dark romance is not for everyone so read the triggers but also have a open mind !! Same great writer just a little more graphic detail. Until next time Luv's💕💋
Two equally broken characters that have baggage but find themselves together. I did not realize this ends on a mild cliffhanger so I was unprepared for that. This was darker but nearly as dark as other stories I read. It was hot and the plot was pretty well done.
Diving into this, all I knew is that it was gonna be dark. But Ana brought a completely different kind of darkness to the plate and I am definitely here for it. ***Warning - this ends in a killer cliffhanger that had me yelling***
Addie is young woman trying to make a life for herself in NYC. After having her dreams of Juilliard crushed and taking on her mom’s debts, she has kept her nose to the grindstone determined to make it. That is, until fateful day when she landed on Jax’s radar. I love her determination and the fact that she doesn’t give up at all.
Jax is man who has all the money he could ever want in 10 lifetimes and any woman at his disposal with just a glance. I really despised him at first, until his layers started peeling back. This man may appear to have a heart of stone, but underneath his cold exterior is a man who has been hurt extremely bad in his past. As much as I seethed in anger over him in the beginning, my heart broke for him in the latter.
Ana surprised me with this, it’s dark but not in the types I usually read. It made me question myself “how far would I be willing to go to achieve a dream if someone offered it to me in exchange for something”. The secrets that these two characters carry had me dying to see if they were going to be revealed and let me just say the title says it all when it comes to the steam. I really enjoyed it and can’t wait to see where Ana takes it.
This book will keep you up all night Adailia has had nothing but bad luck since coming to New York her dreams of Juilliard dashed then she's taken advantage of by a creepy guy known only as Snake, she has to dance for this filth to help her mother who has a dead beat looser of a husband not to mention Adailia can't find a good man there all jokes including Camden the most recent ex, then when she tries to walk away from her double life and make it in advertising at the biggest firm around she gets proportioned by the head of the company Jax Vaughn a real pshyco he just dosen't get it she wasn't coming on to him while waiting for and interview that was all her friend Mia's fault and her stupid "toy" that fell out of her purse.
Jax Vaughn former felon now a billionair worth millions always gets what he wants and hill crush anyone who gets in his way of having Adailia. And he's twisted idea of possession he's not gentle he's a beast and a preditor who only wants one thing. When these to get together it's dirty and vicious there both keeping secrets Jax wants all of Adailia's secrets but is he willing to show her what a real monster he is. This book ends on a cliffhanger with Adailia's past catching up with her things are going to get brutal.
This book pushes all your buttons and takes you out of your comfort zone with both characters being broken you wonder how the author will give them the perfect ending. Can't wait to see were the author takes the story next.
I was allowed to read and advance copy of this book and this is my honest review.
I hate cliffhangers, this one ends …… for you to buy the next book. I hate this. Also, nothing is told, just snippets for you to need to buy the other books. But the writing wasn’t really good, the characters were huddled in mysteries, nothing is being explained properly. Not interested to buy the other books.
The H is supposed to be the richest baddest bad boy. But no education, no real work experience in his field (what field? He is uber rich). I don’t care about education etc but please , explain how he made it from dirt poor to the riches. She was a ballet dancer but got rejected by Guillard. She has a bosom to die for. Have you ever seen a ballet dancer with mummy breasts?! And now she is fuller because of ice cream. Pays for debts that will never stop. Dances in a nightclub , keeps it a secret, …… and is afraid of Snake her boss….. , H is supposedly super powerful but you wouldn’t know…. She has an ex who is obsessed with her…. Blah blah blah
The story is as unhinged as H. There is no character to begin with…. Stupid book with no story line …. Ugh….
I wanted to try new books/authors but this one is next level bad
I really enjoyed this dark romance of Jax and Addie. Yes, it's basically a very twisted version of 50 Shades, but if the formula works go for it. Yes, he's a grumpy alpha used to getting what he wants. Of course Addie is in the wrong and most humiliating place at the right time...with a dildo....If only the dildo had some how sprung to life and jumped away in a bid for freedom....but oh well a missed opportunity of mad dashing Bambi high heels and marble floors..sigh. Perhaps too predictable. Character development check. Twisted plot, check. Background characters...okay. Honestly, I was hoping for a bit more action from the antagonists in this story. I have difficulty with Jax's point of view and I think that that is on purpose. There is a second book so this ends on a cliffhanger. Yes we all HATE cliffhangers but hopefully Ms. Blacklace won't leave us hanging. I know I've marked my calendar!
What would you do if the guy you wanted to work for offers you a contract to be his pleasure servant instead. What you don't know is, he will do anything and everything in his power to make you accept his deal, so you have no actual choice on the matter. This dark romance is EVERYTHING. I freaking loved it, from start to finish. He's very possessive and obsessive with what he wants. I love how persistent they both are in her not wanting to be just a plaything for him and for him to want her as much as he does. But you know, no choice.... So they better make the most of it. And oh boy they do!!!!
I also love how the story continues, it's not just about a guy wanting a girl no it's far more than that and i absolutely can't wait to read more!!
This is a dark romance so people check your trigger warnings.
I liked this story of the Juliard reject, forced to dance at a club for money but wants to be a marketing genius for the biggest company in NY, and how she ends up in an exclusive sex contract with the owner of the company. It's not just a sweet love story, rather a dark, obsessive one. This first book intimates the secrets that are being kept and what that might mean for them. The characters well done, and it looks like things are going to get worse in the next book. I give it 4 stars only because for me, personally, I find it frustrating when the female characters don't see the obvious and make the 'stupid' choice. I get that it adds to the drama - I just resent it as a woman. Still, really liked it.
Addie is a hot mess with giant boobs. Jax is a broody billionaire with a tortured soul. When she turns down the opportunity to become a prostitute, he starts ruining her life so she doesn’t have a choice. She quickly forgives him because he’s hot.
He then degrades her physically and emotionally. But she’s into it, I guess. The dialogue is cringey and the sex is painful.
Somehow this book has a second installment, because she has a secret job as a cage dancer at a club for a Tony Soprano style mob boss who won’t let her quit without becoming Queen of the Night… which I assume means being degraded and whored out… something she’s used to now.
Honestly, this book was awful and I don’t know why I finished it, but I don’t want to down rate an indie author.
Adalia goes for a job interview and gets offered a completely new one instead. She had a dream which ended unexpectedly and moved on. She is determined to make a new life, with her best pal cheering her on from the sidelines. Jax is dark and broody and is the biggest bad boy in town. He controlls every aspect of hit life… until now. When Adalia and Jax get together, they combust. The scenes are hot, the story is free flowing and compelling and sucks you in from the first page. This is an enjoyable story that keeps you interested until the final page. Bring on book 2!
This book reminds me a bit of Fifty Shades of Grey, except less BDSM and more secrets. Adalia and Jax both have their secrets that push the plot along with their non-romance romance. Jax is possessive and controlling, and he will stop at nothing to get whatever he wants -- including Adalia. He is the alpha male that everyone with dark desires wants but shouldn't. This book is a must read that anyone into dark romances should read, because each page leaves you wanting to read more to unravel the drama and secrets that surround Jax and Adalia.
Oh well I tried. I went to about 70%. It started super well and it was dark and engaging. As soon as the characters got together, it seemed like all the fun was sucked out of it. Yes both are broken and having secrets. I would have finished it if I hadn’t realised there was another book after this. It was slow moving and I couldn’t take all the touchy feely for another 300 pages. For what it was, it was long.
The first books of this series were great. They had a connection between the h and h. The storie had great drama, dark theme, and the best sexy smut. Read this book twice. I have read both series by this author and the only one I would not recommend is priest as it did not have the same interactions for the couple nor for the sexiness to much inter dialog. I did not get the chance to get lost in the storie.
Rating: 3.5*. Disappointed it ended with a cliffhanger. Both MC's had very interesting back stories. Those same back stories are why these two people are scared (one literally and physically) and sabotage their potential happiness. I want to read what Jax does to Eddie's tormentor Snake, it's gonna be ugly! Anyone got popcorn?
(As Always.... Check your Triggers) ::Possible spoilers:: I enjoyed this dark tale and the beginning and even in the middle but the reason I gave this story only 4 stars was because it really all fell apart at the end. There were also some circumstances that I just didn't understand. Why was the FMC so ashamed of dancing in a cage? Considering what the MMC did, it just seemed like small potatoes. I understand the power dynamic but I just didn't understand. Also there were consequences that were threatened by a side character that weren't explained. Then when the MMC came to the party and "Proposed" it just kinda fell flat for me and felt very rushed at the end. Like I said, I enjoyed the beginning and the middle but the star came off at the end.
Lots of hot writing. A great read and interesting story. I love Jax in many ways. I'd loved this in a interracial read as well. I must say the narration was not good. Real narrators probably would have made both book a best sellers. I'm looking forward to the conclusion of book two I'm looking for books by A.C.B that have real narrators.
Ok so the writer paints vivid pictures! It’s almost a 3-star but I didn’t love it. I’m kind of tired of these romances where the MMC is larger than life in every way - money, physical stature, power. I did love the prison cell likenesses.
If you love dark romances with plenty of kink, you will love the story. The relationship between the two main characters has its problems between them that create a deeper relationship.
This is fast, filthy, and delicious! Loved the characters and the intensity of the plot which kept me in its thrall to the end!! Awesome read - again! And I can ignore the typos cause those happen to the best of us.
Started a bit slow but was worth the build up. Love the honesty of the female main character, even when she tries to deny her truth. Of course, the male protagonist is deliciously over the top.
Alpha male meets sweet moral girl and wants to possess her and that’s when the story takes off. Her morals battle his desire. The author has a smooth congruent style of writing. I enjoyed it.
