If not for her protective wards, witch Melissa Carter would be dead at the hand of her enemy, shadow breed Hunter Galen. Now he's her prisoner. Though she tortures him with spells, he torments her with dark fantasies, inciting a forbidden lust too strong to deny. But Hunter must escape to destroy his father who threatens them both. But doing so means descending into a place so evil they might not come out alive… • When a name appears on Dave Carter’s skin, he goes hunting. It’s his job to find and kill witches who transgress natural law. He can’t believe that sweet, naive empath Sully Timmerman is the murderer he’s seeking. Is she dangerous, in danger, or both? Dave wants to protect her, but he can’t protect his own heart. And he might not even want to…
Very hot and spicy but also meaningful and slightly errm disturbing 😂 one particular part definitely raised my eyebrows. I thoroughly enjoyed these two novels am very tempted to read more by this author. I did love the parallels to our world and how people view others as either outsiders or lower than them just because they either look different, speak different or their culture is not the same. It’s incredibly brilliant and seductive yet also charming too.
I received this ARC from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
I was so excited to read these, it’s two books in one ( Warrior Untamed & Witch Hunter) I’ve a huge fan or all things Witchy but this is my first Witchy Romance.
Warrior Untamed
Melissa is a Witch and she owns the Better Than Dead Bookstore but sometimes customers want more than books when they step in her store because she also sells Spells, Incantations and Laced Trinkets.
Below the Bookstore Melissa has a secret, through a series of doors and tunnels, housed in a cell is Hunter a Light Warrior and he’s Melissa’s prisoner.
I enjoyed this immensely as the tables turned from captor and captive to something so much more, you’ll need to read for yourself to find out what exactly happens but it’s SO GOOD and thrilling, it will have you on the edge of your seat.
With a world full of Vampires, Werewolves & Witches (plus more) and a delicious level of spice I fell in love with story and found myself thinking why I don’t read more of these kinds of stories because I love them so much.
Witch Hunter
Dave Carter is a Witch Hunter and tattooist (and Melissa’s brother from the first book), when a name appears on his skin he knows who he has to kill.
The name that appears is Sully Timmerman , she lives in Serenity Cove and is doing good in the world, helping her community and the less fortunate. What could she have done to warrant being executed?.
I was fascinated by this story and fully invested myself in this magical world with Witches, Covens, Nulls and Spells. it had me turning page after page trying unravel the mystery in my head.
The chemistry between Dave and Sully was sizzling hot!
Two sensual romances with a supernatural twist in a world full of creatures and witches. Warrior Untamed Melissa is a powerful witch with a dominant heritage; she heals and protects those who come to her for help but has a dark secret that stalks her dreams and whose support she needs to avenge a friend. I like the world-building, the sense of danger and the passionate connection between Melissa and Hunter. Witch Hunter A tattooist with a secret role and a wrongly accused empath bring Dave and Sully together to find a dark murderer. This story has a contemporary edge but a mystical twist. The supernatural world is believable. Dave and Sully are convincing characters, and their chemistry is tangible. Both stories have good sensory imagery that makes the characters and setting easy to visualise. I received a copy of this book from the publisher.
This is two books is one. The cover is beautifully designed. The story of Melissa, who has a foe named Hunter, is told in Warrior Untamed. She uses spells to torture her adversary in this witchy book. Hunter takes a promise to exact revenge on his father and attempts to flee in order to finish a task. At all costs, he needs to keep his partner safe. Witch Hunter: after A name had emerged on his skin as Dave Carter, and he needed to start hunting. His responsibility is to track out witches who have violated the natural law. He finds it hard to think Sully was indeed the murderer. This book was fantastic; it kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time and had me eagerly anticipating what would happen next. It has a small amount of spice.
Thank you to Mills & Boon and Netgalley for giving me a chance to read and review this ARC prior to its release!
Two paranormal romances with witches that are both incredibly engaging and interesting.I like romantic witch stories. One cannot compare these two after having read Paybacks a Witch. I believe it to be a little bit overzealous. I spent a lot of the book bewildered since it moves so swiftly and almost too quickly, trying to do too much in a small amount of time, building a world but then going on to another subject. It's not necessarily a horrible book, but I just don't like the writing style, and even if there had been more time to develop the universe and people, I wouldn't have been interested in reading it.
I loved this, I felt the world was well built and well explored and I am loving witchy romances at the minute and this one did not disappoint. It was steamy and sensual.
I really enjoyed the addition of other supernatural creatures and the enemies to lovers in the first story. The mystery in both of the books kept me wanting to read on and both had satisfying endings.
The only thing that has dropped it a star is that I was sometimes confused by the worldbuilding and the interactions between characters.
Thank you so much to the publisher and Netgalley for providing me a copy of this book in exchange for my review.
Honestly I’m not entirely sure if this book was exactly my cup of tea. I did read it quickly though, it’s just I don’t think I enjoyed it as much as I expected to. That’s not to say this is necessarily a bad book, I think it’s just comes down to it not being my personal preference, like if I knew that someone enjoyed books like this I would definitely recommend it to them, it’s just three stars because of my taste, but it’s good enough that I’m not trashing it completely even though like I said it’s not my cup of tea. Got this as an ARC from NetGalley btw
I started this around May and have only finished it now. I did find it a bit hard to get into the book, which made me not enjoy it as much. I wouldn’t say that the book is bad, because it isn't. I just don’t think it was my type / preference. However, if you guys do like witchy romance then I would definitely recommend this book. Thank you to Netgalley for this Arc!!
Two stories featuring witches, two very entertaining and compelling paranormal romances. They're a lot of fun, I rooted for the characters and enjoyed the story. Recommended. Many thanks to the publisher for this arc, all opinions are mine
This book is two storylines in one. Both are set in a world of supernaturals. I thought both books had a lot going on, maybe a bit too much. It didn't quite flow as smoothly as I had hoped. I really wanted to love this book because the premise sounded really good.
I am an absolute sucker for witchy romances and these were so enjoyable! I found myself flying through the two stories, eager to find out what was going to happen!
I really liked these characters, especially Melissa and Sully who are incredibly bad ass females. They aren't perfect but they fight for what they believe in and what's right.
I really liked the magic and the fact that these two are set in the same world, which is full of vampires, witches, vampires and more! I really want to read more from this series and hope that we see more re-published! Also, the spice in these two were the perfect amount and the chemistry between the couples were off the chart!
I'm excited to read the next two collections which are stories by other new to me authors!
I definitely recommend picking this one up if you're a fan of books like The Ex Hex!
✨Big thank you to Mills & Boon and Netgalley for giving me a chance to read and review this ARC prior to its release!✨
I love a witchy read, having previously read Paybacks A Witch earlier this year and having a number of witchy books on my TBR I jumped at the opportunity to read this book. I will say, this book has a lot of potential and I do like the fact that you get two books in one. However, I think it’s just a tad too overzealous. It’s trying to do to much in a short space of time, is trying to world build but then moving on to another topic very quickly and I spent a great deal of the book confused as it’s very fast paced and almost too fast. I don’t think it’s necessarily a bad book, but the writing style just isn’t for me and the story wasn’t gripping enough for me to want to read more, had it been a given the length of time to expand on the world and characters I think it has the potential to be a really good series! But for now, I’d say it’s an entertaining flight read for those travelling this summer.
