Oh, how I love the talk about scent, Brooks smells like juniper and rosemary, and it does everything to Castiel. Even though Brooks is human, Castiel’s scent is doing something to him too, the man smells delicious.

So, Brooks his car broke down while it was packed for a lifetime adventure, he hopes a mechanic will fix this without too much cost, he didn’t count on spending money on his car.

Castiel has to gather himself or else he would jump the human, “Mine, mine, protect” Yes, this human with the broken car is his fated mate.

Castiel is protective AF, no way he let Brooks sleep just anywhere. Even Castiel’s dog doesn’t want to leave Brooks’ side.

Brooks can’t deny this beautiful man does something to him, something incredible, he’s super attracted to him and doesn’t want to leave. Unfortunately, a brand new job is waiting for him, miles and miles away.

The whole story was nicely written and enough developed.
Overall a delightful omegaverse story, with all the shifter, fates mates, and mpreg ingredients, I just love this world.

Brooks and the Mechanic . . .

Castiel is an Alpha bear shifter who returns home to become the owner of an auto shop since he enjoys working on engines. Brooks is an Omega human wants an adventure, so leaves home and heads for the West Coast and a new job. But his car lands in a pothole and is badly damaged. Castiel comes to his rescue to tow the damaged car which is going to take some time to repair, at least a week, since the undercarriage was damaged. It would also be expensive ordering the parts from the city. Would the mechanic let him sleep in the car because he certainly couldn’t afford a motel. So he offers him the apartment over the garage, not telling him that it’s his own apartment but willing to sleep downstairs in the garage. He wanted to know Brooks was safe. Castiel had scented immediately that Brooks is his mate. But can he convince the human that they are perfect for each other? Will Brooks be able to accept Castiel when he meets his shifter half? And is he willing to stay forever with his mate?

Omega Brooks sets out on a cross-country road trip only to have his car, Isobel, break down in the middle of nowhere. Alpha bear shifter Castiel tried life in the city but returned to small town he grew up in to take over the local auto garage. When Castiel responds to the call for a broken-down vehicle, he never expects to scent his mate waiting for him by the side of the road. The pair both feel an instant connection with one another, but Castiel worries about responding since Brooks is unaware of shifters and he’s only in town until his car is fixed. But things quickly heat up between the two and Castiel is going to have to open up to Brooks to see if they can have a future together. Castiel and Brooks are hot, sexy and sweet together, and I love how Ralph just naturally accepts Brooks as part of the family. Sweet, romantic MM mpreg read with plenty of hot and steamy action!

This is book three of the Shifterly Ever After series and is able to be read as a standalone story. The main characters are human omega Brooks who has packed his old car with all of his possessions and is on his way to a new job that starts in a few weeks time, right across the country. He is taking back roads but none of his friends reckon his old car will actually make it! Alpha bear shifter Castiel is a mechanic and worked in a shop in the city until his old boss called him and offered to sell him his shop back in his hometown. He jumped at the chance to get out of the city and make his bear happier. When he gets a call out for a flat tyre, he takes his dog and truck out to Brook’s car, which has actually hit a pothole ending up in his undercarriage being broken. Brooks doesn’t want to be separated from his car which he has even named, a place he was going to be sleeping in for much of his journey, to save money. Castiel returns for his towing rig and brings Brooks back to the shop. He realises Brooks is short on funds after he didn’t want to be parted from his car or be dropped off at the camping site and so offers him his flat about the shop and decides to sleep in his office.

As soon as Castiel reached Brooks’ car, he caught his scent and realised that Brooks was his fated mate, but also that he was human. His bear wanted him to claim him immediately, but Castiel had to remind his bear that they had to go a lot slower, especially since Brooks may not even know about shifters never mind fated mates! The news that Brooks’ car can’t be repaired for at least a week, gives the two time to get to know each other, with Castiel’s dog taking to Brooks immediately and seemingly even favouring him rather than paying any attention to Castiel. When Brooks finds out where Castiel is sleeping, he insists that they share his bed instead, which leaves at least one of them rather sleepless from being so closely together! They soon get involved and are unable to resist each other, with Castiel having to make time to tell Brooks the truth about his other form and what he really is. That is before he can even think about mentioning fated mates! Can the two manage to accept their love for one another and solve their work issues? Life is never simple, but if love is strong enough, then anything is possible. A really sweet story with some great characters, including the dog and even the car that is seen as equally important in the storyline and to Brooks. Definitely a shifterly ever after with mpreg conclusion and a HEA ending. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.

Part of the Shifterly Ever After series with a shifter who isn’t looking for his mate, yet his omega mate finds him unintentionally. Brooks an omega sets out on cross country road trip hyped about his road trip starts all good until his car decided to take a mind of its own by breaking down in the middle of nowhere. Castiel an alpha bear loves the country tried living in the city his bear didn’t take to kindly to that so retuning to the small town he grew up in and bought the local auto garage shop. When he gets a call about a broken-down car on the side of the roll of course he heads that way but the moment he gets closer his bear starts to go crazy and when he actually sees his fated mate it becomes a struggle keeping him bear under control since he mate is human. The attraction is instant between the two of the undeniable attraction and the harder they fight to stay away the stronger the pull but how can he ever explain that he is a bear shifter add to that Brook has his heart set on his road trip so getting attached seems to be out of the question for them. Since his car will mate, about a week to fix since the undercarriage was damaged when he hit that pot hole and he isn’t going to allow hi mate to sleep in his car since he can’t afford to stay anywhere else so what better way to get to know your mate offer him the apartment above the garage without letting on it is your apartment he isn’t willing to put him in any danger but will Brooks accept him for who he is , will he stick around to figure out the pull between them, can he convince him that he is his mate or will it all have him running, and are they headed to happiness?.

This is a fun, quick story. I really loved this book. This is book #3 in the Shifterly Ever After Series. It can be enjoyed as a stand alone. This is the story of Castiel and Brooks. Castiel is an alpha bear shifter. He is the proud owner of his own garage and enjoys being a mechanic. When answering a call at closing time, he goes out to repair someone who has a flat tire. Castiel gets more than he bargains for. The vehicle needs a heck of a lot more work than a tire replacement. And he just met his fated mate. Brooks is an omega human. He has all his worldly possessions packing into his beloved car Isobel. He is travelling to the other side of the country for his first ever tech job. When the two of them meet there are sparks galore. Not understanding shifters nor mates, Brooks doesn't understand his pull towards Castiel. And Castiel is denying the mating pull because he knows his mate is just passing through. This is their story. It is a quick story that is full of chemistry between Brooks and Castiel. The characters are sweet and the book is fun to read. I really enjoyed this story and am looking forward to the next book in this series.

This is another sweet and sexy fated mates mpreg story by Colbie Dunbar and Lorelei M. Hart, with a human traversing cross-country in an old, if beloved, clunker, and the bear-shifter mechanic who comes to his aid when (surprise) the car breaks down. (D@*M potholes!). Although the story is sweet and engaging, it could have used more character development. I didn't really feel like I knew the guys, especially Brooks. Of course, complex character history and deep plots likely aren't what you came looking for. You want fated mates, shmoopy romance, and a cute baby. You've got that here, along with a little challenge (job waiting across the country), great steamy scenes, and a HEA. Minimal angst, maximum warm fuzzy feelings, and love when and where you least expect it.

I loved Brooks and His Bear Mechanic: Book 3 of Shifterly Ever After. Castiel moved back home to own his own auto repair shop. That’s how he meets Brooks, his mate. Brooks was headed to new new job when his car breaks down. He’s instantly drawn to Castiel and not sure why, he’s not a shifter so he doesn’t know about mates. Castiel will not only have to tell him about shifters and mates but also figure out how they can be together. Will Brooks still want him after he finds out he’s a shifter? This was such a sweet story and I just loved the characters. I would definitely recommend this book and the series.

I love this series. The stories are always sweet, sexy, and joyful. This book is exactly what I was hoping for. You can't help but be enchanted by Brooks and Castiel. Everything happens for a reason. Fate isn't wrong. The attraction between Brooks and Castiel is as intense as it is inevitable. Throw in a car named Isobel, who may just have a bit of magic of her own, and you get a perfect pairing of mechanic and true mate. I read this in one sitting. Could not put it down. Join brooks and Castiel as they navigate the newness of mating, negotiating jobs, and what usually results from mating. I know you will love this book as much as I did. Get, It. Now!.

This series is about as sweet as it gets. There's something so unique and special about omega mpreg novels, I can't get enough, especially when it's written by Colby Dunbar. I have just loved all of her MM Omegaverse books I've read.

I really loved both Brooks and Castiel. Brooks is so sweet and kind, and I love how attached to Isobel he is. Castiel is an alpha, but not overbearingly so. He was just perfect for our loveable Brooks. Ralph was another bright spot, I loved that he wouldn't leave Brooks side for the most part.

The spice in these is always the perfect amount for how short and sweet they are and BAHBM was no different. I'm already so excited for the next Shifterly Ever After book and can't wait to see who's up next.

Castiel has achieved the opportunity of owning a shop. Brooks is on a road trip to what he thought was his new life. At least until his car breaks down and requires a mechanic. None other than, Castiel answers the call. The smell of juniper and rosemary captures him right away. Brooks is his mate, now how is he going to break it to a human? A human who just passing through?

Leave it to the hands of fate to lend a hand and make it cleverly impossible for these two to be apart.
Simply delightful and oh so sweet.

One of my favorite things about when mates find one another are the unique scents. This makes their fated pairings that much more special.
They can't get enough of it and the aroma is mesmerizing.

Communicate even when you don't know why. Human omega Brooks is packed up on his way to his great adventure. A pothole sidelines him and rearranges his travel. Castiel, alpha bear turned his love for mechanics and mechanical things into a paying job and buying his shop from his mentor. He answers the service car about a distressed vehicle and finds Brooks, his fated mate. Brooks, is just passing through but he feels drawn to the mechanic. What would seem to be an impossible situation developes into an entertaining read while pulling for Castiel to find a way to reach Brooks. Nice story, great characters, well done. Castiel and Brooks story was sweet with a swoony side and lots of love and funny moments.
I really liked the they meet and how Brooks found about Castiel bear, as well as his reaction to it.
Their courtship was adorable and Brooks jealousy was cute as he imaged several scenarios and interpreted differently some facts.
I liked Castiel protective side, the love and care he showered Brooks with and all the little details that put a smile on his mate face.
I absolutely adored the birthing scene when their bundle of joy joined them, the decorating and all the surprises that came after.
I really enjoyed it and I'm looking forward to see what happens next.

This is the third book in the Shifterly Ever After series, but you can read this book as a standalone. This book was an absolute delight to read. Brooks is determined but still open to new possibilities, although he was not expecting the chance to be claimed by an alpha on the way to his dream life. Castiel is a perfect alpha: protective, charming, and romantic. The MC’s had an instant connection and their chemistry was amazing. The steamy scenes were well-written and had me enthralled. Even though they were complete opposites, they fit perfectly and were truly meant to be.

I enjoy reading these cute novellas. We meet Brooks when his car breaks down on the side of the road. He then sees the most attractive mechanic come and help him with towing his car.

Castiel is a bear shifter and as soon as he meets Brooks stranded and smells his scent he knows that he’s his mate. The book was super cute especially with the dog side kick. I wish there was a little more depth to their conversations as to why they like each other, but overall it was a cute book to get me out of my reading funk and I loved seeing Castiel wanting to take care of his Omega.

This is another great story by this writing team. It has heat, love, humor and oh yeah, a bear shifter. I enjoy the instalove of these two have even though Brooks doesn't really understand why he is so committed to Castiel so quickly. Once he meets the bear half of this wonderful man, it all sets off on a quick pace. If you want lighthearted reading with a HEA and a sweet baby, you want this book as well as the others in the series.

A little forced proximity with being fated mates as the additional element made this an enjoyable read. Castiel's bear knew from the start but Brooks humanness was not picking up what his nose and heart is telling him. A little angsty but all in all the chemistry couldn't be denied. They were a sweet and adorable couple. Castiel was the cuddly alpha bear to his sweet and sassy omega Brooks. A very satisfying HEA for the couple with a cute cub at the end.

Castiel is a bear shifter who works as a mechanic, he is tired of city living and when his old boss called him to tell him he is retiring and would Castiel be interested in the garage. He is called out to a car on the side of the road, he meets his fated mate Brooks, who is human. They finally mate and Brooks falls pregnant. Their romance isn’t without obstacles, but they finally have their happily ever after with news of another baby on the way.

Sweet story! I am a sucker for fated mate stories of pretty much any type. Brooks is a human though and Castiel has to figure out how to tell him about shifters. It does take him too long to figure it out! I love these characters and the dog Ralph is a bit of a ham. It’s short and sweet and won’t take you too long to read. It’s worth it!.

BROOKS AND CASTIEL

This is charming story of a human, Brooks, and a bear shifter, Castiel. A pothole, a dog with human antics, and a chance to find out what kind of chemistry is amiss. Brooks seems to be a very open-minded human, very accepting of shifter knowledge. This story leaves one with the sense of a fairytale that resembles shifter life. Of course, there’s a baby and a HEA. I loved it!

When Brooks car breaks down Castiel comes out rescue him.
Brooks is driving across country to start a new job when his car breaks down. Bear shifter Castiel pulls up by the brokem car and sees the human with it but soon realises this is his mate. As he will need toorders parts he offers Brooks a bed in his apartment which is above his shop. This M/M shifter romance is an exciting read.

Loved this shifter/fated mates story because Brooks and Castiel while very attracted to each other, initially seem to have an insurmountable barrier to overcome as Castiel is very happily settled in his out-of the-way town and Brooks is riding high on his expectations of a new job and life in a big city on the West Coast. Watching these two figure out how to merge their dreams and their lives made for a wonderful story with lots of emotions and steam.

'It was music to my ears... What more could a shifter ask for?

I really enjoyed this book. It was a such a cute, quick ready. I liked both Brooks (human omega- and I thought he was funny!) and Castiel (alpha bear). They had great chemistry. I also loved Castiel's dog, Ralph. The little "toast monster" had personality and often made me smile. I liked that Brooks wasn't meek and knew what he wanted. 4 stars.

I loved Brooks and His Bear Mechanic by Lorelei M. Hart and Colbie Dunbar. It's the third book in the Shifterly Ever After series. I loved Brooks and Castiel's story. It was so cute. I loved how much he loved his car, Isobel, and that he talked to her like she was sentient. Castiel's dog, Ralph, was cute, also. I can't wait to read the next book in the series when it comes out.

This was just the sweetest fated mate story ever. Brooks a human omega is traveling to a new job when his car breaks down. Castiel an alpha bear shifter, who is a mechanic comes to his aid. I love the way both characters a written. Can these two men work out the issues that may keep them apart? The only way to find out is to read the book. I would definitely recommend this book.

Another Sweet Fated Mates Story

I have enjoyed each of the stories in this series but this is my favorite one so far. It was so cute that Brooks thought of even his car, Isobel, as a family member. This was a lot of fun to read and I'm looking forward to the next book.

This tale is about as sweet as a story can get, all that heady talk of scents, mating, and slick, it's all so romantic and sexy. Brooks and Castiel are fated mates that meet on the side of a road, not the most idyllic place but Castiel soon makes up for that, he's a true romantic and rather protective, in other words the perfect Alpha. A gorgeous tale, with a splash of angst, but a lovely ending.
