I was torn about this book. It was so dreary. When the highlights of the book take place in Fairie there is something off. The automatic hatred that Abadare felt towards Mr. Shape seemed over the top. We never saw the creature do anything nefarious. Yes, he might have been evil, but WE never experienced it. He was just a sad sack waiting to die. Abadare spent a good portion of the book being more melancholy than Mr. Shape. There were still good parts. We got jovial Johnny and scary Johnny. We never got an answer to why there was an unknown kid guarding the “not” a massage parlor. That seemed odd. Also they take a body with them in a stolen call, but never explain were both of those things wound up. The very end has an interesting tease. It has been years since I first read Morgan’s series. The main thing I remember about that one is the cats that Morgan hid from his landlady. Still I marked most of those as 4 or 5 stars. My TBR list is too long to reread anything right now, but I definitely will if Kit decides to do what the end suggests is going to happen.

I wasn’t aware of this being the last book in series and am sad to see the end of this. Maybe the author will do more with the characters later, maybe open their own agency? Speaking of the characters, I was happy to see Abadare, Evelyn, Johnny, and Thaddeus again. They took a side trip in this one to Faerie for Screed, and it was an interesting side quest. After that is when the real fun began. This was a pulse-pounding conclusion with great writing and wonderful characters. Recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

This is an incredible urban fantasy series! In this final book Abadare and co are back and it’s exciting and entertaining and I am sorry to see it all come to an end. Questions are answered and the author does a great job bringing everything together as our awesome characters journey into Faerie which is not as sweet and light as it sounds!! It’s been one hell of a journey, dark, mysterious and filled with battles and death but what a ride it has been. It’s a great addition and a wonderful conclusion.

Abadare and gang is back and so is the fun that is their lives. In this one they are off to Faerie to do a simple escort but things never go as planned. Entertaining as always and so much fun to read and see what is in store this time around. Good story and great characters to get sucked into as see what they face. Enjoyed as always.

The storyteller promised a pulse-pounding conclusion and oh boy did they deliver. Was a edge of your seat exciting journey from beginning to end and so hard to put down. Really enjoyed every heart-racing twist and turn of this action-packed adventure!

Unfortunately this was the last book in the series. Enjoyed seeing the characters from before. Intriguing things are happening and you don’t want to miss a thing. Hopefully we’ll meet them again.
