This book! I love so many things about it. I mean what’s there not to love about?!

❓Does the plot live up to the blurb it provides?: Nailed it 💯
❓What about the writing? : Perfect for eight year olds and above; so easy to read and follow; endearing super cute young characters; humour and reality balances perfectly; the mystery is just perfect for the reading audience to think about and also solve it. It’s too cute to handle you know?!
❓What about the characters? : There’s Sam who goes for errands one fine day, gets into danger but an unlikely saviour saved him that day. There’s our mysterious doggie whose mysterious appearance starts the story. And you know what?! In the news, there’s a precious dog missing.
And also there’s a series of missing things in the colony!
Here comes our unlikely team of young detectives (Sam and his book club buddies! You will love them! Two sets of twins: I wouldn’t be able to handle them if they were my chaddi friends! And another unlikely trio of good buddies added in the bunch!)
And there’s also the “uncle” who helps them dig for clues.
I find these parts quite adventurous and interactive for the young readers. They will have lots of fun and will feel as if they are a part of the “detective “ book club team.
We will solve the mystery before the book ends. This I assure you and you will totally be happy about it.
I hope there are more books coming as a series. The characters need recognition. And above all, the author needs more recognition for the book which fits perfectly for the young readers!

Sam and his friends love to read mystery books by Mashoor Lekhak in their book club. They are all shocked to know that Mashoor Lekhak is Sam’s new neighbor, but now it is time for them to solve a mystery of their own building.
Dasher the dog, milk bottles, and jewellery was missing from the building, and Sam is the police’s prime suspect as he was the last one who was seen with the dog and other places too, but he said he didn’t do this. Now his book club friends Zayn, Zara, and Sophia come to his rescue and decide to do a thorough investigation to prove his innocence or find the truth.

It is fast paced and there isn't any dull moment in the book. The book length is also good and not unnecessarily stretched. Children will be excited to know more at every page. It will held their interest in finding out the mystery. It will let them brainstorm in solving the case.
I love how the author has incorporated that the book club thing about rescuing an animal. It shows that books can teach and impact us a lot. Children will also get to learn some big words along with their meaning.

Sam and his friends are upset as it was the last meeting of their Book Club. It's about to end as Miss Priya is leaving. Kids are trying to find a way for their book club. Little did they know, they are going to be caught up in their own mystery.
An odd incident in their society. Sam is saved by a strange dog from some goons, but soon after, the dog goes missing, and Sam becomes the prime suspect. Meanwhile, many other mysterious events are happening simultaneously, and the group decides to take the case into their own hands to find clues related to the case.
The case gets complicated as they delve deeper until they have a new member. Someone overheard their conversations and decides to help them. It was none other than their favourite author who writes mysteries.
Right from the start, I was glued to the story, the way it started made it exciting and mysterious at the same time. With a compelling plot and crisp descriptive narrative, Monika takes readers on a roller-coaster ride filled with lots of drama and cute illustrations.

They are, however, excited to find out that Mashoor Lekhak has become Sam’s next-door neighbor. But this joy does not last long as there is a real-life mystery in their condominium.
These include Dasher’s dog, bottles of milk, jewelry among others disappearing and surprisingly it is Sam who becomes the lead suspect. With Zayn, Zara, and Sophia his friends, they want to exonerate him so as to identify the true mastermind behind what happened. I loved the concept of "FREEDOM" Used in this book as a medium of expression.
Story-
1) The story is about Sam. Sam and his friends loved reading and they often read mystery books written by Mr. Mashoor Lekhak. This lekhak is also a neighbour of Sam. At once Sam and his friends became shocked to know this, but they absorbed it slowly, out of excitement and curiosity.
2) On the other hand in the same building, one fine day Dasher the dog, few Milk bottles and jewellery went missing & Sam becomes the prime suspect as he was the last one who was seen with Dasher.
