Nobody tells you how easy it truly is for a meek little woman to infiltrate a mighty army…

The Fae have no idea who I am under this hood. They're overly confident, but they are about to get a very rude awakening.

Especially HIM, the dark and broody Fae king himself, Airden Faven.

He believes that he will finally take the long lost royal power of the Fae, but little does he know that my people are always one step ahead.

And the “enemy” has a secret weapon…

Me .

Here I come, Fae King. Be prepared, because I’m out for blood.

This is book one of the An Elf’s Fate series and the main character is a young woman, part blood fae, part elf, called Izara Cayna, born to the Blood Fae King of Veri and his Elf Queen, who he turned into one of his kind. But her mother wanted a child and became sole ruler of the kingdom after Izara’s birth, when her father wanted her killed when he saw what she was! She is unlike other blood fae, more resembling how her mother used to be, with somewhat pointed ears, but not as much as fairies, nor with any wings on her back. She has turned sixteen, but has to hide under a hood and cloak every day, even in the castle. If anyone sees her true identity, seeing the lack of claws or sunken eyes and with her short pointy ears, they would think she is a tasty treat, leaving her mother to have them killed! Izara wants her mother to teach her about her Elf magic, but she refuses, only allowing her to learn about the Blood Fae magic within her, to help her in battle. Nearly four years later, her mother figures she is finally ready to undertake the plan she has for her, to infiltrate the faerie mountain and take them down from the inside!

Izara had never actually seen a faerie before that day and she ends up running into the leader of the faeries, the Fae King, Airden Faven, as she looks for a way into the mountain. The Blood Fae know very little about this man and his capabilities, so she will have to gather lots of information first, before she can try to kill him! After a few months hidden within the mountain, she finds out a huge secret, that there is another who is actually the true ruler of the fae, one who was hidden at birth and has only just been found. Airden knew his cousin was alive all this time, as in his family of royals, the royal magic of the king or queen was passed to their direct heir. He never received the royal magic and now his cousin Nera has arrived in the mountain, with her dragon shifter mate, but she isn’t interested in keeping the magic, never having known about it or how to use it! But Izara has found out about this and when the exchange of powers will be, and she will do all she can to be one step ahead of him! She is her people’s secret weapon and she is coming for the Fae King. She is out for blood! A separate tale told the story of Nera and her being the lost princess, but isn’t needed to be read to follow this one. A short instalment, but enough to get you ready for what might happen next and leave you wanting more! I received an ARC copy of this book from the author and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.

Wow, wow, wow!

I didn't think Abigail would be able to top her last series, but in my opinion, she's done it with this one!

I know this is only the first book of the new series, but by golly, its amazing! I couldn't put it down and was hooked from the first page.

Abigail is a really talented author and you should read her books, if you haven't done so already. I highly recommend everything she writes!

I received a complimentary copy of the book and I'm leaving a voluntary and honest review.

Abigail, you've made another great start to this new series. I can definitely say that she succeeded in writing an exciting sequel to the previous series "A Fae's fate".
It keeps the reader in the grip of the story and you can't wait to read the second part of this series.

I was given this book voluntarily for an honest review.

Oh my

For such a short series, I would have thought more effort would have been put into the episodes. Maybe a world build, it does say epic. It doesn't read so, even the characters have no depth. I was looking for a quick read, perhaps I should have read something with a bit more effort put in.

Fast but nail-biting drama…

Nail biting drama as she infiltrates the enemy and steals the power. Now if only escaping were as easy.
I think the authors done an excellent job of making this a book you can’t put down. Not only that, but you’ll want to get the next book as fast as your fingers can type in the book name.

Seems like it will be a good story just from reading this short book. Characters are good and intriguing. I would have given it stars but since it is only 50 pages it is more like reading the beginning chapters of a lengthy novel.

Sorry I like lengthy books

So I received this book as an arc and I must say I have always heard of the summer fae or the winter fae. This is the first time I’ve ever heard of the blood fae, so I was immediately hooked and lost in the pages of this book. Abigail you have an amazing serious and I can’t wait to read more from you. I literally couldn’t put my kindle down. I don’t like to give away spoilers but trust me anyone would love this book.

What a great sequel to a great series.
In the last book of A Fae's fate, Nera meets her cousin, the King of the Fae and learns that she is not only heir to the Fae Throne but also the bearer of the Royal Magic necessary to defeat the Fae enemies.
Arden her cousin has given her the choice. She can govern as Queen or she can leave with her mate the Dragon King after transferring the Royal Magic to him confirming his right to rule.

Since this is a short story, I cannot reveal too much as not to give away the plot.

I can say that the author has succeeded in writing a thrilling sequel to the previous series, A Fae's fate
That keeps the reader gripped to the story and hoping to read the second part to this mini series.
I highly recommend this book and give it a rating of 5 Stars
